  1. I'm interested in the motor and radiator.
  2. Just an invite, a few of us are planning to head out to Dumont on Saturday night June 23 for an overnighter. We usually arrive around 7:00 PM, ride till 3 or 4 AM, get some sleep, quick ride in the AM, then head home. There will be some fun/fast rides shooting the hill if anyone has some time to get a quick ride in.
  3. Small part I don't want to order from the dealer. The piece that bolts to the top of the case and keeps clutch cable in it's place. Thanks....
  4. Would these be a good dune/drag pipe on a stock bore/stroke cub motor?
  5. I have tried a few different combo's and still not real happy with the results. I am back to 55 pilot, CEK mid clip, 168 main. When I had 155 main in it felt like it was falling off up top which I thought I was running out of fuel, but this sounds to be rich doesn't it? Still have not played with idle too much, very hard to start now. I am going to dyno it in a couple of weeks at a local shop who stocks plenty of jets, but they do not stock needles. I have a CEK, DEK, and CGL needles, I would like to take two or three others to try. Could you recommend any others to try? Also switched to Trinity pipes, good mid range, poor low and top. Thanks for all the input.
  6. I saw some interest in the case but never saw if it sold. I would be interested if available.
  7. ***Important, make sure you have the throttle wide open when kicking. I don't know why, but last month I was going thru the same process and was told to keep throttle open.
  8. I'd bite on a +4, chrome w/carrier. Thanks..... :woot:
  9. Just for information, I've heard 1 tooth in front is equal to 3 in the rear.
  10. No, that would be beyond me. I have rebuilt top ends plenty (maybe 8-10 times, and have learned a lot from reading this forums responses. I have never split a case before, and if it were $200 +/-, I would pay somebody to do it.
  11. My sons quad, dune port, 2 into 1 carb, CPI's, works shocks, +4 swing arm. He let his older brother take it to "The Hill" when he came back he said he kept missing 2nd gear. I rode it and 2nd gear feels like it is skipping. No raddle, just a skip like some teeth are gone. My son is no racer, but I would really like to pony up for the 2-5 duneable override. Is this something a backyard mechanic (with new compression gauge LOL) can rebuild? Or, what kind of money should it cost to have new trans installed by a reputable builder. I have no problem shipping across the great plain!!
  12. Is the +4 sold?
  13. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Banshee ran GREAT. A little lean after first plug chop, went up on the main and it ran great all week. Never hot, started within three kicks even when cold, def need a longer swingarm now. Again, thanks for the advice, much easier typing then throwing wrenches!!!!!
  14. Thanks for the help guys. I bought a new compression tester yesterday, 175 lbs both cylinders. Still have idle trouble, but response is there, everything sounds good. I am going to ride next week and play with jets, any recommendations? I am currently at 48 pilot, CEK mid clip, 155 main. Sure sounds and feels good down the street, Dumont next week for testing and 4 stroke munching!!!!
  15. Thanks dajogejr for all the input. So to clarify the low compression numbers I need to look at piston number for correct model? Any other areas that could be giving me low compression, and still run OK? I will be testing with gauge #3 tomorrow to verify. :shoothead:
