  1. ROFL, that's some funny shit right there. Get RIPPEN to do it, he seems to search google for some strange shit sometimes. LOL
  2. That sucks man. I would think NYUK's old sig with that naked chick would have gotton things stirred up back in the day if it were a real problem... - Jared
  3. Yeah, I kinda doubt you are really spinning THAT much on asphalt. I'd lean more towards either jetting issues or clutch issues. Me personally I would set your timing back down at 0 or just +4 until you figure out what is going on. Having your timing up really high will just complicate other issues if you're having them. - Jared
  4. There is a high possibility that it might be a combination of both... tire spin and clutch slipping. What is your gearing, what size tires, what kinda terrain are you riding on, and what kinda clutch setup do you have in that bad boy. Whats your compression at? What kinda carbs, what pipes, etc. - Jared
  5. When you get a firm date set let me know and i will turn in a vacation request at work and will be there, but I need to have some notice on the date so i can take days off. By june I should have my junk well tuned and should have my hands on a light-weight swingarm. Everything else on my bike is aluminum or other light-weight stuff except my swinger. Its a beast. For duning and stuff its great but if I'm going to come out there to race I need something lighter. LOL Choke would be great for me. I run out of hill before I can really open mine up. I'm rapped out in 5th and have to slam on the breaks at the tops of my big hill. I am really confident I could grab 6th and pull it if I had a big enough hill so choke will work great for me.
  6. Kiel is that head off my old bike or off jared's setup? If its off mine that head was milled .032" - Jared
  7. Seriously, how about we not have the massive images for your sig. That would be great. ...and count on a top end when you first start to tune it. I blew a top end the first time I rode mine on methanol.
  8. I use 1/4" aluminum bits for roughing everything in then go to the 1/8" for finishing. I also run a higher speed with the 1/8"...
  9. If you like a straight frame you will keep those lower engine mounts. I've seen a lot of the big drag guys bend or crack frames from not using those lower mounts. There is a lot of torque transferred to the chassis through the engine mounts when you take off...
  10. Good to hear you got some good results! I've got a +6 swinger and run 14x41 gearing with a 22" 9 paddle extreme and I spin the living shit out of it until 4th gear then it will hook up and go. I'm dropping my 4" swinger on the bike this weekend and ordered some 10 paddle extremes to try with the 6" swinger... we will see if I can't get some better traction off the line...
  11. In my experience trinity just doesn't make anything worth the price they charge for stuff.... and I've never seen any of their stuff that was really all that fast. Hell I've never even seen trinity show up at any of the big drag races. I agree, they are more along the lines of alba and duncan than a big-name builder I would send... well... anything to. Let alone my money.
  12. Seeing as its a trinity I'd be willing to bet that a 10mil cub from any other builder would probably outrun its ass. ROFL
  13. I'm with daj...I can't stand the idea of having some "coating" applied to my pistons, or anything on my rotating assembly for that matter. There's just too much risk in my mind of having a little chunk of it break off and fuck you. No matter how much I hear about coatings and such I don't think its something I can picture myself doing to my engine...
  14. No seriously, you need to burn those plastics.
  15. I'd jump all over that banshee.
  16. The more compression you run the more you risk forcing your crank apart. I'd stick under 155psi if you want to run pump gas. Anything higher than that and you will want to be running a 50/50 mix of race gas or straight race gas. More compression will give you more bottom end, but will also make your engine rev slower to an extent. The crank/piston has to do more work to compress your fuel/air mixture on every stroke...
  17. You sound kinda like me... I've done some crazy shit to my engines before just experimenting. Some of them I loved some of them destroyed cases and cylinders and such... I figured some stuff out with the transmission that I love and still do to this day. Ruined 3 shift drums and a bunch of forks figuring it out but once I got it down its pretty easy to repeat now. I did my transmission stuff to my new yesterday and finished up this morning and took it out for a ride at KP this afternoon and noticed a world of difference in how it shifted. ...but yeah, I've had to scrap a few sets of cases and cylinders from messing around with ideas that I thought might give me a little edge. Some of my ideas have, some of them have taken the edge away. LOL - Jared
  18. The only real disadvantage I can really see is if you remove too much in certain areas you would be decreasing the surface area the gasket has to seal against and you would be increasing the risk of a blown base gasket, but that's pretty rare if you do things right. - Jared
  19. I call bullshit on that one. Go watch some of my videos...
  20. I will have to hit you up next time I'm down that way. My sister has a place in montrose with a pretty good sized private MX track. Right back on the bookcliffs down that way too. There's some awesome riding down your way. - Jared
  21. I like the top one jeff.
  22. I'm going, Rick is going with his 10mil trex and his 800cc snowmo quad. anyone else going? - Jared
  23. I change all my jets at once every time. Ha Ha Ha! I've found its the best way to screw myself right before races.
  24. OK, I wanted to give whoever it was that suggested soft scrub some credit. I tried that tonight and used the soft scrub with bleach on my white plastics and that stuff is the SHIT! I'm going to use that stuff every time I need to clean my plastics from now on. Got every bit of grunge off my plastics and made them look freaking awesome. - Jared
  25. I've left both cell phones and TV remotes in the fridge. I think my digital camera has made it in there a couple times as well. - Jared
