  1. I don't know if any of you guys would even know what this is or what its used for but figured I would post it here to see if anyone wanted it. Its a gas detector that we use out on the natural gas drilling rigs. Very handy for confined locations and for checking for the prescence of hazardous gasses. They retail for around $1200. I've got an extra I've had laying around listed on ebay with no reserve if any of the nerds out there are interested or work in an industry that might use such a beast. Here's an info page for them. http://www.envisupply.com/sampling/micromaxplus.htm Here's my ebay listing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
  2. If you have 185 in each cylinder, no sense in tearing it down unless something else is broke.
  3. If nothing is broke in the top end, you would be fine with just a hone and new pistons. Nicasil is a pretty hard material and will stand up to some abuse. Might not even need a hone, but its always a good idea when you put a new top end on. - Jared
  4. Note to self, don't buy any bikes or frames from him ^
  5. Take an old burned up clutch and weld a couple outer and inner clutch pieces together and it works good. - Jared
  6. Also if you have aftermarket carbs, switch them side to side and see what it does. Trade stuff from one side to the other and see if the problem jumps to the other side. When it does, then you will have the culprit. - Jared
  7. If they don't show up let me know, I have a set I will send you for free sitting in my shed that are just in the way... - Jared
  8. I get methanol for free so anything I ride from now on I'm switching over. I think even a totally stock bike I would still drill shit out and switch it over. Ha Ha! I'd port that thing before you put it on alky. You will see a much larger gain from porting than the alky. Have you considered trying some larger domes, say a 19cc dome? Let the engine rev a little easier and less stress on the crank, and you could prob run cheaper gas. - Jared
  9. ive got a complete stock bike (06) tore apart in a box in my garage.
  10. Yeah, I was eye-balling that front suspension setup. Not many of those style frames have the front suspension like that. (drooling)
  11. Stock front shocks, white springs............$55 shipped. Stock rear swingarm with carrier bearing..........$120 shipped Both are off a 2006 Banshee with 1 ride on it. Parts are in excellent shape. - Jared
  12. LC Performance earned a lot of my work this past easter after hanging out with them and seeing their stuff run at sand mountain. WAY better customer service than kim at K&T. - Jared
  13. Got your payment, I will get them shipped out to you tomarrow! - Jared
  14. Got payment from you monday, shipped them out this morning! Sent ya a PM. - Jared
  15. my paypal is [email protected] $100 for the rear rims/tires, just make sure you provide an address to send them to. - Jared
  16. The red hi-temp oil-resistant silicone works good. Been using it on every engine I've done for the last 5 years and never had a single one leak anywhere. I also use it on gasket surfaces if I don't have a good gasket. Put a small bead on both surfaces (clean) and when it dries, peel off the excess. If your cases are clean and you let it dry for 24hrs and set up good it will work fine. - Jared
  17. Some tools, yes, I will buy the expensive ones. Sorry, but a compression tester is just not one of them. For how little they are honestly used I can't justify the price of some of the "fancy" brand-name ones. If I am really all that worried about it i will go down and use the calibration equipment we use for calibrating gauges at work. Until then, I'm going to stick with my cheap-o autozone tester that reads the same fucking thing as your fancy-ass one, for probably less than half the price.
  18. That's odd, I've been using the same one for two years and it reads the exact same as the fancy-ass more expensive ones. I just tested it two weeks ago against a snapon one a guy at the shop got for his four wheeler. Save the $30 and buy beer so you can sit around and drink beer and make fun of the guy who spent more money on the same thing.
  19. With an over-bore and a stroker kit. Not hard to do if you have the $$. I would have spent the $$ and built up the 450 engine though.
  20. I'm guessing you have wiseco pistons and you are trying to put stock rings on them. which just wont work. -Jared
  21. The $30 autozone ones work just as well as the expensive craftsman & snapon ones do. I've had one for over 2 years now and it reads perfect. Tested it side by side with each of the fancy models listed above and it reads the same as they do every time. - Jared
  22. I have these pics of the rears, fronts are in same condition, still have the little nubbies on the fronts. Only have 1 ride on them, then I tore the bike apart and its in boxes in my shed. - Jared
  23. Only front 2 shocks, I'm keeping the rear. The rear shock isn't a bad unit after some re-building and re-valving for longer swingers. Fronts are useless to me though. - Jared
