  1. The engine should be together by late june or early july if everything goes well. I might stick it in my green/blue chassis just to ride it, but I'm hoping to have it in a complete aftermarket chassis like an HS customs or something by next year. I've got some other stuff going on as well, so I'm spreading finances out across a couple projects right now. We will see how it goes. I'm just excited because I sent off my cases to get done, which is the starting point of everything. - Jared
  2. I hope this isn't on your methanol bike, because that would be WAY lean!! Which bike are you talking about? It sounds kinda like you might be sucking your bowls dry or something. Have you pulled and cleaned your carbs, put in fresh plugs, check your reeds just for shits & giggles. Do an actual plug chop on it and post pics of what you get. - Jared
  3. Just started my 2006 10mil project. I think I need an intervention or something, but I really doubt it would work. 10mil crank 120 rods, big bearings twister billet cylinder, big reed intakes, big exhaust flanges, 73mm bore shearer BB in-frames 39mm carbs bored to 40's running methanol straight-cuts billet basket lockup/cover Going in an aftermarket chassis of some kind. I saw a lot of cool frames at sand mountain that gave me some crazy ideas. Already sent my 06 cases off to LC Performance to get trenched and bored and epoxy'd up. First time anything happens with the epoxy I'm going to billet cases though. All the normal bling & shit... Soon as I finish paying off one junk I start on another... what a mess. I seriously think I need help sometimes. Its probably a good thing I'm not married...
  4. I'll take the frame if you part it out. - Jared
  5. Sent ya $$. I'm sure I can find something to throw these on. LOL - Jared
  6. Planetsand is also a wealth of knowledge. Do some searching over there.
  7. I played around with my own porting, even bought all the tools and dies and crap. read lots of books and did a lot of research. Bought a bunch of cylinders from friends and ebay and practiced. I actually had some pretty good runners and some really really horrible ones. When it came down to it I figured out I didn't have the time needed to really get good at it. If you have the time and the patience and the knowledge or at least access to the knowledge it can be done. But don't expect results right away. Don't expect them even after you destroy a handful of cylinders... - Jared
  8. I will only put stock coil on my bike. I've had too many bad experiences with ricky stator in the past.
  9. I got my hitch and ball welded into my truck so no taking my trailer via that route. Lock your trailer to your truck some-how. Me personally I just use a massive logging chain off a road maintainer and the biggest fuggin lock I can get my hands on.
  10. My record is... burning 25gal of methanol in one day at KP riding with a friend. At Sand mountain over easter vacation I burned about 15gal a day. I burned through a 55gal drum of methanol in 3 days at sand mountain. Methanol is different than normal gas though... - Jared
  11. If there is no spacer plate and you think it might be stroked the only other way to check is to look at the domes. Pull the head and see if the domes have a machined offset in them to accomodate the deck-height of the pistons due to the stroker. The serial number on the pistons should tell you if its a long-rod or not.
  12. For the record, whoever said that to you is a massive tard. If they need a +12 with just pipes and bolt-ons they must weigh about as much as a 2yr old todler, and have about as much brains as one as well.
  13. You will spin the shit out of those tires, especially with a 6 or 8 over swinger. I really doubt it would come up on you all that much.
  14. I think a lot also depends on how and where you ride. If you are in sand the number and height of your paddles and your gearing will play a large role in how easily your front end comes up.
  15. Pull your clutch cover off and remove your clutch basket and I would almost bet money on the problem being down at the shift star. After a while the little cam dealy that grabs your shift star the springs on it will wear out and it gets wedged out of place to where it can only grab upwards and wont let you shift down. Has happened to me more than a few times over the years. Simple fix. Remove the clutch and take a look down there at your shift star. - Jared
  16. Our plans changed, going to idaho for easter. snow changed things... st anthony's dunes is where were headed!
  17. Sounds to me like all of you need to either ride more or adjust your clutch. ROFL If its adjusted properly it shouldn't ever do what you guys are describing.
  18. I ran a +4 on my 4mil cub and it would wheelie all over the place, which I loved. I have a +6 on my methanol 4mil now and even it will wheelie with ease when I want, but still has enough length to keep its face planted when I launch if I'm up over the bars on take-off. - Jared
  19. LOL bansheerider69, firehead and I were playin' back and forth. I wasn't really counting on getting it since I saw the post later than most. No big deal. I've got too many of the damn things as it is already. Ha Ha Ha!
  20. I saw her first, she's mine!
  21. I'm closer to him, I call it!
  22. The question is... what am I NOT going to do with another banshee. LOL!
  23. Sent ya a PM. I have cash in hand and I can drive up to pick it up as soon as I hear back from you. Cash!
  24. Is it a 795 series piston? I ran a 4mil stroker on a stock-stroke length cub cylinder with a set of cut domes and it was still a runnin SOB.
