  1. Are there any numbers on the crown of the piston? If there's carbon, scrape it off and see whats on the top. Wiseco stamps their pistons with identifier numbers on the top. - Jared
  2. LOL... I had both bikes when they were stock. They may be modded now, but they were not when I got them both. Right when we got them, after the Raptor was broke in we raced them on the road with the same result everytime, with every combo of riders. As far as tuning, thats what we were doing. You have to try things, then tune things. Not like that vid of my bike is a fine tuned video. That was after an hour of tuning with what we had. But I forgot, you needed to be there to tune it for us, you are the God of all banshees, can make anything perfect, one try. Ill be sure to get your perfect knowledge before we tune anything else, that way its up to your standards. shoothead.gif Id post a vid with more weight on my bike if I had one... Only vids are with me on it. Next time im there Ill get one for you entertainment, then you can be a critic on it too and tell me how to tune it all up, k? rolleyes.gif First of all, that's all you can come up with? I'm disapointed, super-banshee man. With all your endless knowledge you have of these things you've accumulated in the what... ONE year you've owned a banshee, I figured you would have come up with better. I never profess to be a tuning god as you say. Thanks by the way, I'm surprised you recognized me without my sandals on. How many times have you seen me in the jetting forum? Not very often. Why? Because I don't try and tune other peoples bikes for them unless I am there and riding it and have my jets and shit handy. Sorry. I wouldn't tune your crap anyway, you already know all there is to know about banshees anyway. LOL Tard. I stated my opinion of the raturd, "Its also not saying a whole lot when 70's technology still doesn't take much $$ to keep up with / beat a modded EFI 2008 bike. That's pretty sad in my mind on yamaha's part. ROFL" and you turned around with an attack on me... "I think you are the only person that is so negative about the 700..." Actually, you haven't talked to many banshee die-hards then. Perhaps you should go look at that thread and read what other people have to say about the turds... You keep re-enforcing the fact that I called you out on being a two-face fuck don't you? You send me an appology in a PM asking to be friends again, because you don't want to run into me at some dunes somewhere and look like a fucking douche. Then you come in here and bash on me for my views of the rapturds. I stated a general view of my opinion of the raptor and you made it an attack on me. So, whats the deal with trying to applogize in a PM, then turning around and trying to start more shit on the board? Once again, you're a two-face fuck. You weigh less than a little girl and think you're sooo fast. You bash on peoples opinions, but when they bash back you get all butt hurt and go on the attack. Remind me again how long you've owned a banshee or even a rapturd...
  3. If push comes to shove, you can always go down to your local bolt store and get a grade 8 or higher bolt, cut the head off and use that until you can get your new OEM one ordered. I've had to do that in the past on rides a long ways from home. - Jared
  4. No, I was distracted by the ads for muffler bearings and rainbow colored powerbands. That reminds me, I forgot to change my blinker fluid and install my trans-flux capacitor today! sunofabich!
  5. My cooling system runs on crushed cheeto's.
  6. Sure its not a coolant / tranny oil leak somewhere? I'm tired and have a killer headache and dont' remember smoke colors for different fluids, but I think coolant burns white, checked your head gasket / o-rings? - Jared
  7. pretty much just drop the crank in, make sure your seals are int eh right place, transmission, forks, drum, etc and get that big seal in place back by the sprocket output shaft. other than that, slap it together.
  8. I'd love to have that thing just to sit in my shop. LOL! If I weren't trying to finish my 10mil I would go for it mike. Sorry man. You and that wpzone guy on DR both put stuff up for sale at the wrong time for me. Bastards. ha ha ha!
  9. Eh, I dunno... It would have to be a hell of a good running 14mil for me to dritch my dune bike. I'd like to see some stats and pics of the engine. I've got a 10mil cub and my 4mil duner and a stock stroke beast in the shed. Wouldn't mind having something bigger, but my 4mil dune bike runs pretty hard so I would have to see some pretty impressive numbers or something on this 14 to consider it. Haven't heard back from the guy at all, maybe he already sold it.
  10. I like to build lego cars, does that give me any credit in this conversation?
  11. I bent one and had no medical bills. Whats my prize?
  12. It was a chromoly 3/4" tube swinger. It got about a foot of air and when I landed it caved the hell in hardcore. If you want something tough, go with a locogato swinger. - jared
  13. I forgot to add... my 9mm is with me most of the time as well.
  14. Same for animals in that situation. I've broken out a couple windows on vehicles in walmart parking lots when I come across a dog or something in a vehicle with all the windows rolled up.

    CR500 motor

check dunereview.com/forums there was a guy on there selling a cr500 bike. - jared
  16. How about some more info on your 14... I've got a 4mil dune bike, ported stock cylinders, runs with most 4mil cubs and cheetah setups. - Jared
  17. Makes me glad I grew up on a ranch. First time I saw a ball pit or that tunnel shit at mcdonalds I asked my dad why you would want to play somewhere you eat. I'd rather go home and shoot at shit than play in those things when I was a kid. Never been in one, never want to. I plan on raising any kids of mine the same way.
  18. My dune bike runs on methanol and when I first start it, it will only smoke out of one pipe until the first time I rap it out really good and clean it out. If you putt around on it on alky it will tend to load up the cylinders and drown out your spark. Did you check to be sure your plugs are gapped the same? Clean carbs real good? Both filters good & clean? Try and switch plugs from one side to the other, same with plug wires. Switch carbs around and see if it jumps side to side. Slides sticking? Needles on the same clip? - Jared
  19. Trash talking two respected members of this board won't get you very far around here. Riding on the streets gives us all a bad name, and the fact that you brag about running from the police only proves how ignorant you are. You could put your wealth of knowledge of turbo's and EFI to good use, but you blow it all away playing johnny street racer. The more you trash talk daj the less respect you will get around here. His points are valid, running from the cops is only hurting the sport/industry and giving them fuel for more restrictions and closures. You're argument of "the man" holding you back is a bunch of hippie crap. Suck it up, drive your johnny street racer ass a couple hours and ride in an ORV park, just like everyone else. Or here's an idea... how about if you really want to own something like a banshee and ride it, move your stupid ass out of the big city where you have to run from the cops.
  20. I too is a enganeer buts i choose nots to use my's knowledge all that very often. it are easier to just put the fuel in my's tank and go ride. thinking tooked two much time to doo in colidge. besides, i went to colidge to get edjamakated so's i cood be a engineer.
  21. I carry a GPS, cell phone, camera, sun screen, boonie hat, tow strap, plugs, flat-head & philips drivers, 10,12,14mm wrenches, channel locks, master link, chain breaker, tire plugs, CO2 filler, lighter and my bag has a camel-back in it. If the CO2 wont fill my tires, pour some methanol on them and use the lighter. Ha Ha! I've had to walk more than 5miles back to my truck across the dunes when I was the only person out riding and the hat, sun screen, and water come in real handy. But I ride a kinda unique area in that I am usually the only person out riding in the entire dunes. I had a tie-rod strip out this past sunday and was lucky I had a buddy with me to ride me back to camp and back out to my beast with parts, or I would have been walking. Almost went over the bars after the left front tire turned completely sideways when the tie-rod broke. Aluminum tie-rods came on the bike and I'm glad this happened, because I changed both out to some longer steel units. - Jared
  22. As much as I don't like the riding on the streets business I think this thread is headed in a better direction... A thought... would it be possible to steal the injection crap off a craptor and use on a banshee??? Its already set up for a quad and might be easier to retro-fit onto this particular application. I dunno how any of that shit works, just a thought. - Jared
  23. Those are some big numbers for a 421cub, even on alky. You'd be lucky to get low 90's on a 421cub at the altitude I live at. LOL
  24. I enjoyed this thread and the videos right up until the post about riding on the streets and running from cops. This thread went to the shitter, along with any respect I might have had for the guy. He's about as cool as blackbanshee and his 5th gear :yelrotflmao: wheelie.
  25. I'm with loco, I'd go for the 450 before the craptor any day. If you are used to the banshee you will like the power of the 450. Its light, nimble, easy to move on, has nice suspension and its quick. Lots of upgrades out there for the 450, and its got a carb so you can do your own jetting. I'm sorry, but I just don't trust the EFI bullshit on quads yet. A sensor or wire goes bad somewhere and your fucked. I prefer to know how much fuel I'm dumping in on my own and don't trust a little computer to do it for me. Woopdy doo, it adjusts for elevation, it takes me 5min to toss in a bigger main jet with the carbs/setup I have. If you run powerjets there is no need to even change mains unless you're doing a massive elevation change. I'd go with the 450 simply for the powerband it has. Its similar to the banshee and there is already a HUGE aftermarket of trusted parts for the 450's. - Jared
