  1. I guess nobody looked at my sig. I have an aftermarket head with a lot of compression, pipes, air filters, reeds, and +4 timing. When I said stock motor I meant only bolt ons. no porting or displacement increase. The reason i want to go to alcohol is more power like anybody else. I know that I need different carbs, but just was wondering what size and brand are the most common besides lectrons. Also what jets to get me close.
  2. u can put a stock motor on alchohol. I have seen a couple of bikes with it. I am running c12 right now and i am going to get off of it. I just wanted to know what is the most common setup. Give me a starting point.
  3. I am wanting to put my bike on alchohol. My motor is stock. How hard would it be to convert it over. What kind of carbs, how big? Give me the full details.
  4. I just put an adjustable plate on mine the other day. I used an impact to put the nut back on. Works good if you dont have a strap wrench or something else to hold the flywheel.
  5. Well if it does eventually give out then I will just slap a stroker in there and be done with that. It has held up a while with this compression though. Almost a year.
  6. Do you think it is worth going with the u2 over the c12. It costs me $8.50 for the c12 and I think I can get u2 for around $10.50. Will I be able to tell the diff? My best bet is going back with 22cc domes and getting back on 93 octane before i smoke my crank. I just love the bottom end that it has. I does good for stock motor.
  7. I am going to advance my timing with an adjustable timing plate. Also I am thinking about switching from c12 race gas to u2. u2 is oxygenated so I was wondering about what kind of changes I need to do with my carbs for each thing.
  8. I believe so. I am not so sure of exactly what alky does to your engine if you leave it sitting in there after u ride. I know he premixes his gas with a lot of oil when he purges. At least 20:1 or more.
  9. One of my buddies is on alky. He purges his at the end of every riding day. He has him a pretty good set-up to purge. He found him a bottle about the size of a ratio-rite mixer and put some gas lines on it. When he is finished riding for the day he just unhooks the lines from the tank and hooks his lines up from the bottle and it takes about 5 minutes to purge his bike. Not too bad.
  10. I wouldnt recommend it for just casual trail riding, only drag racing. But if u get a +10 swingarm and out of frame drag pipes u probably wont be riding trails anyway. Just something to think about if you are serious about whippin some ass.
  11. I am planning on buying an armadillo super lite bumper from Rocky Mountain. Its the one with the 3 bars running horizontally in front for $114. Does anybody on here have a bumper like that on their bike. Post a pic so I can see what it looks like and decide if I want to order it.
  12. My buddy's shee has around 65 to 70 hp and has 22x11x8 10 paddle haulers and is having trouble hooking up. He is moving up to 12 paddles. All depends on the power.
  13. If you are going to be doing real serious draggin then get your trannsmission shaved. It is unbelievable how easy it shifts after doing this. You dont have to let off the throttle or touch the clutch.
  14. Sorry I meant the elemination kit. The hell with all that clutter on top of the carbs.
  15. Where is the cheapest place to buy a tors kit for the banshee? The cheapest I have found is 59.95.
