  1. Here's one thats kinda hard to see, but its all I have on photobucket right now. this one doesn't have the backbone like the red frame above, but does have the upper gusset and the two vertical ones down by the gas tank. your gas tank will fit fine with them on there. if you wonder about it, mount your gas tank up and then place your gussets and clamp them, then remove your tank & weld them on.
  2. I actually gusset my steering stem towers in 5 different places. I'm at work right now and dont have any pics handy, but when I get home if I remember I can get some. Basically you want a beam down the back of the stem like the picture of the red frame above, then I run one from the stem down to the horizontal frame rails down by the gas tank mounts, and another one up at the top where the upper steering stem holder mount goes that keeps it from folding over if you roll.... Its hard to explain, I will just get pics later... - Jared
  3. Dropped to $350 shipped.
  4. Big Bore out-of-frame CPI pipes, unstamped, 1 out each side. These are unplated, bare metal & have the small flange. The guy I got them from said he ran them twice. I haven't had them on any of my bikes and they've just been sitting in the shed taking up space. No dents, no dings, perfect condition. $385 shipped. I will post pics tonight when I get home from work. - Jared
  5. my girlfriend has a dog she can't have any more & is looking for a home for him. Her dad won't let the dog stay at home any more and we can't have another dog with us at my house. It is a chocolate lab / pitbull mix. He is a good natured dog, gets along well with people and has a lot of energy. He was used for dog fights by his previous owner before my girlfriend. Alone, he is a wonderful dog, but cannot be around other male dogs due to his aggression. He gets along wonderfully with female dogs of any type, including both my red healer and my australian shepard who are both females. He will chase and attack cats as well. He loves to run and needs some kind of a yard, which we don't have at my house. He would make a nice dog for someone who doesn't have other animals and is looking for a dog to protect your banshee. ha ha! He is quiet at night, does't bark that much during the day, and knows quite a few commands, but has a lot of energy and needs somehwere he can run. If anyone is interested please let us know, I can drive a long distance if we can find a suiteable home for him. My girlfriends dad has threatened to have him put down if we can't find a home for him and her dad has a pure-bred chow who isn't neutered and they don't get along well. Please help us out if anyone knows someone looking for a pitbull mix or knows of a rescue agency who would be willing to take him. We live in rock springs wyoming and I can drive quite a ways to meet someone if we can find him a home. - Jared edit: oh yeah, he is neutered and is current on shots and would come with a large dog kennel and any supplies you would need. I don't know how he is with kids, we've never had him around them...
  6. Post up the dyno sheet...
  7. Ha Ha! That sounds like a technique someone used on a cover I got... LOL! I was wondering if it was jbweld or yamabond on that cover. I used jbweld when I put it back on.
  8. Not sure if you will be able to buy an off-the-shelf die for that thread. I think its a specialty yamaha thread. I know its fine-thread. Couldn't tell you the size or anything. What you MIGHT be able to do is buy a different fine-thread tap and re-tap the threads on it a different size and get a new nut for it... Or you could always just weld it on. Ha Ha Ha!
  9. I'm not going to put it in some weird format, but there's been the stock cylinders, RZ cylinders, TRex, cheetah, cubs, twister big blocka and small block, vitos monoblock, superior sleeve, crankenstein mods, DM cheetah, CT racing's monoblock...
  10. Depends on what powder you go with and what kinda coating you get and how many layers you go with. My frames I've had done run anywhere from 300 to 600 with sand blasting and stuff. All depends on what options you go with and what powder you use. I'd say expect to pay around $300 for a good job, which should include sandblasting and prep, coating and everything. That's probably a two-coat single color though. One of my frames, "The Bass Boat" ran me around $600 to do, but it was sand blasted, chromed, prepped again, coated black chrome, metal flake clear, and another clear coat over that. The actual chrome dip base is what made it pricey. But it sets off the black chrome and metal flake like crazy. Triple plate white show chrome suspension on top of that and its a bling bling monster.
  11. Sure! Just cut off the outer edge of your cover and let it run in the open. That sand and muck and dirt and dust and stuff you ride through won't do anything to it...
  12. If you want to keep it manageable in power and reliable and still run stock-ish stuff, then I would go with a 4mil stroke 5mil longrod ported stock cylinder. Bump up your compression a little and run some higher octane gas (or alky) and bump up your timing to get more low end and throttle response out of it. Suspension will make a night and day difference if you spend any kinda time on the dunes.
  13. Don't be disapointed when its not 110.
  14. I run the IF's simply because the OOF won't hold up to how I ride at the dunes... they would be broke off every ride. Other than that I would go with the OOF's any day.
  15. Or you could spend a few bucks on some jets...
  16. Is this the top end you were talking about on PS where the o-ring is comming really close to the water jacket? - Jared
  17. On that short of a swinger 10 paddles would be a bit much... I run 10 paddles with a 6 over swinger. I'd only run 8 or 9 with a +1 swinger. JMO.
  18. Check out the pic in bonbon's signature here on the board. Its usually a sign of something if you are getting little drips of coolant... he can tell you all about it.... haha - Jared
  19. I agree with loco, a +4 swinger and some 8 or 9 paddle tires would do you good. I ran 21" 9 paddle extremes on my 4mil cub and it liked them. I run 20" 10 paddle haulers on my blue/green bike when I'm dune riding and its not a bad ride at all, with lots of traction. but its too much paddle on that small of a tire if I want to drag race. I have some different sets I bolt on depending on what I'm doing. I run 22" 9 paddle extremes that are cut down when I was at sand mountain and it was great. Lots of wheelspin off the line and just hold it wide open and let the bike catch up with the tires up on the mountain and it ran good in the drag races. - Jared
  20. How about a list of mods... then we can give you a good idea if its worth what you're asking for it... $5k is going to be kinda tough to get out of a banshee unless you have some serious work done to it... or if you live in socal. LOL - Jared
  21. Roger on that one... If you're going to the trouble of splitting the cases or even just pulling a top end, you might as well just split the cases and replace bearings and seals and stuff anyway if its been 9 years of baking on crap. It only takes about a day to split em, and if you already have replacement bearings and stuff another day to put them together if its your first time. Any more I can split cases in a good 2 hours and replace shit and have them together waiting on goup between cases to dry in another 2 or 3hrs. Wait overnight and finish putting it together. I do the same thing with all my parts that aren't PC'd or painted. Nuts bolts, transmissions (no water on the trans though, just diesel and carb cleaner and air) High pressure air hose is also handy when cleaning stuff... If its seriously kicking your ass, I can wash them for you if you want to send them all the way to wyoming. if you had the bearings and seals an shit already I can put them in and re-assemble your bottom end for you pretty easy. Check these babies out... Those cases are about to sent to LC performance for some work. :ninja:
  22. LOL, actually I wasnt fired up at all I was sitting here laughing as I wrote my reply. Jon was here too and laughing right beside me. Kill any bike I have eh? You are still dreaming about how "fast" you think you are. You don't even know what I have douche. You've seen two of my bikes. Not going to argue eh? Isn't that what you are doing with this reply? Maybe you should stick to your story, two-face. Edit: oh yeah, your front end alignment is off on your "diamond" ROFL tard. Get some sack? My sack weighs more than you do, girly man. :yelrotflmao:
  23. Id go with the other guy, if you were WOT for any period of time you might have drained the bowls and leaned it out and seized it up...
