  1. He's not talking about your intake tube, hes talking about the crossover tube between the carbs. If you have aftermarket carbs you wont have this, but if you have stock carbs you have to be sure the crossover tube is in place...
  2. You've established you have spark, but is it a good strong spark or a weak one? Wires on the correct posts on your coil? orange to + and black to - check your compression. do you have good gas? Have you tried purging your tank and putting new gas in, freshly mixed? When was the last time you cleaned your carbs? Whats your elevation and jetting? clean air filters? checked your reeds? crossover tube in place? I'd put fresh gas in it, pull your carbs and clean them real good. Trim back about a quarter to half inch of your spark plug wire and screw your plug caps back on on the fresh wire. Its tough on rings so dont use it as a regular method of starting, but you could try and spray a little starting fluid in your carbs and trying to start it. Tell us your elevation and jetting and we can help you out a little more. What else did you do to your bike when you had it apart? Check your compression...
  3. I agree with theshee, I'd go with a 21" 8 paddle, or a 9 paddle if you plan on porting or other mods down the road. Paddles will last for a long time if you take care of them, so if you go with the 9's and plan on doing mods down the road you will already have the beefier paddle. 8's are a good paddle choice for your current setup though.
  4. powerjets set up to be remotely adjustable somehow?? I'd find a mechanical engineering department at a local college and have one of the students come up with something. Jet it for the mid to top of the mountain with your normal jets and crack open the power jets down low to add extra fuel, then as you go up the mountain close them off more and more.
  5. Theshee, don't you know its not nice to mess with texas... its not nice to pick on retards. Chill out dude. Shit gets reposted over and over around here. If you want to be a nazi about stuff go over to planetsand.
  6. Go to your local hardware store and just get some A&B epoxy and take your bowls off, clean them really good and let them dry and epoxy the crack. Or jump on ebay and buy a set of stocker carbs...

  20. you dont ziptie them to eachother, you ziptie them down to the shock-mount or frame... I've done it on just about every banshee I've had pods on, it can be done. ...and you dont' have to spend the $$ on new filters. Another option would be to put some heat wrap around the pipes next to the filters. I've seen a couple members here on the board do this and it works great.
  21. OK, why didn't you fix the leak when you noticed it? ...and how would forcing it into 5th help you any? If you could have ridden to your truck in 5th then why not ride it there in 3rd, the gear you were stuck in initially?
  22. Why the hell did you run it without any oil? Second... when it didn't shift right, why did you force it into 5th?? :shoothead: ::
