  1. Not, unless the snout of the crankshaft broke off. Which I have never seen happen on a Banshee.
  2. The question is how do categorize the std's that have their own std's. There are some pretty slutty chick around these parts.
  3. The WSX coating is a dry moly coating that is suspended in water I assume. There are alot of different application techniques for that style of coating and I probably shouldn't have said anything about that one inparticular. However, none of the techniques that I am familiar with involve the coating being suspended in water. You are right about the solvent base for some coatings that are out there, but there are several other dry application method as well. Are the cam bearings on your Raptor roller bearings or hydrodynamic wedge style bearings?
  4. You will see a a definite performance gain with the head. The reeds will just give you better throttle response and porbably not muchy else with your combo. I am not a fan of the LRD pipes if they are the adjustable type. If they aren't the adjustable type then I do not have any experience with them.
  5. It's not terrible, but it looks a little slutty at the same time. Past an intial impression, you really have no idea if they changed port timing or anything like that. If Trinity did the work, I am sure they put their name on the cylinders. Those guys try to put there name on anything they work on from what I hear (frames, carbs, intake, reed cages, etc.).
  6. Not a bad idea. Knowing me I wouldn't look at it until after I been hanging around a chick, but on the upside you could find out what sort of VD you might have before you go to the doctor. :yucky:
  7. The fuel department is a Mexican guy from the dyno shop that knows how to turn on the pumps for the tanks out back. We don't openly dispense much fuel. It's all hard plumbed into our dyno rooms. I am not really sure which purchasing guy does the fuel buying. I haven't seen a fuel truck around for while. The Nastycar fuel is a sealed tank deal (you have to fuel from the track source when they are handing it out at select times). However, you do get to buy the spec. fuel from the vendor that supplies NASCAR, and it seems that quality control across all the fuel that we have received so far is pretty good. All our fuel work is done buy a guy from TMG (Toyota F1) in Germany. We don't get to see him much in person. I am hoping that my buddy who drive for Evernham gets done with whatever he had to do soon so I can get out here and get something to eat. I have about had it for sitting around here today.
  8. What did the hand say to the face.................................................................slap.
  9. I am not sure that I am sold on this particular product line's legitimacy. While the concept is sound, and several of the correct terms are used, the coating thickness and and application temperatures are a bit off. Using the cermet coating as an example, a typical application on a turbo housing may be 25-50 microns and be electrostacially applied, then baked on at greater than 1200 degree F. If you used this coating on a header or exhaust part it would be put on much thicker. I am assuming that the WSX coating is a dry film moly coating, which is apllied in a fluidized bath. I guess what I am trying to get at is that if these type of coating were to be applied as these products suggest and performed reasonably, then you would think that the people who do coating work like this would apply it the same way, it would be less expensive, and more people would do it. It really seems like something you would see on a late night infomercial on the Speed channel. You'll have to let us know how they hold up and if you notice and performance differences. I am guessing that the coatings will come off pretty quickly and/or not do much, but as always....................there is a good chance that I am wrong.
  10. That guy used to be on several of the trike forums. 3WheelerWorld and Wheeler.org to be exact. I think he was like 12 years old then, which probably makes him 15 now. Anderson Island is kind of a poo hole, there aren't that many folks that live out there. I don't have anything good to say about the guy. I have never dealt with him, just happed to recognize the name.
  11. I'm just pissed because she copied my haircut.
  12. If you are going to paint or weld on an aluminum part that has been used, oil soaks into the pores of the metal. Generally you will need an acid, an ultrasonic cleaner, or a hot parts wacher to get them clean. Hydrochloric or Sulfuric acid can get the job done, but if not managed properly can also corrode the aluminum.
  13. Like I said before, cocaine is a hell of a drug.
  14. I don't know if we will ever get moderators around here. There are a few threads that need to get the old lockaroo.
  15. I would tend agree with loco. I just hadn't gotten a chance to turn on the glow plugs in my brain yet.
  16. I have done the exact same thing. We started with two guys our first year in 1999. http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~minibaja/ Above is the link to the program where I was the team leader for a few years. I'll have a look over your website in a bit, as I have to go do a bit of work. The PVC mock up is an excellent first step. Ity doesn't look like you have much in the way of a shop there. What material are you using for the frame? Which competition(s) are you guys going to (West, Midwest, East, Mexico, South America, Austrailia)?
  17. That's good advice. I didn't want to be the guy that offered the serious and complicated solution for once I suppose.
  18. I tend to use the following in descending order based on availability. 1.)Industrial parts washers at work including the sonic cleaning tank, and tumbling polisher. 2.) Diesel fuel. 3.) Brake cleaner or starting fluid as they don't leave a residue.
  19. So...............I am casually browsing the HQ and I look down at the Google Ad bar that I seem to accidentally click on from time to time for lack of motor skills and I see this: http://www.womansavers.com/?gclid=CISPivazxYoCFQKfYgodnwmqXw WTF has the world come to when somebody can make something out of a website based on this? It boggles that mind. However, I am single and haven't checked to see if I am in there.............maybe I'm the idiot in this case. ::
  20. If the smaller pilots don't do it, see if it will start with starting fluid. That way you atleast know if it won't start due to being rich or lean.
  21. I lost the key to lock in my J bottom power band. Do you know where I could get a new one?
  22. The trucks are getting close to being done with qualifying and impound. There should be atleast something fun that comes out of this. Every impound race that I have been to, someone from one of the teams gets caught with or try to do something and they get all butt hurt about it. I am going to have to move off a pit lane and get back to the garage area. I hope we don't get any of that rain folks have been talking about, the sky doesn't look very promising.
  23. Dyna
  24. You don't necesarily need the 795 pistons to run a stroker or long rod setup or even both at the same time. The long rods should measure 120mm center to center as opposed to 115mm (I may have that messed where as it is 115mm compare to stock at 110mm). As for crank stroke, unless you have a way to measure the crank between centers, you had better hope that the crank has markings onit that indicate what it is, otherwise it may be tough to do.
  25. I am not sure how many folks that we have from Maine here. Brooke is the only one I can think of and she probably wouldn't be much help unless you are in to verbal abuse.
