  1. I never would have thought that Yamaha would sell just that part. I guess you learn something new everyday.
  2. It seems like it is better now. The notification emails still seem to be a bit screwy though.
  3. Somebody posted a website in another thread that was a free place to check VIN numbers. I can't remember what it was. Do you happen to remember?
  4. If it is a stock cylinder motor I disagree about him needing big bore pipes.
  5. For the pipe hangers: Mod Quad, RIS Designs, Cascade, eBay. For the shifter rubber piece: I have no idea where you would buy just that piece.
  6. Aww, I should have mentioned that. :shoothead:
  7. That's what I was trying to get at.
  8. Are you running stock cylinders? Have you looked into the Grand River Racing pipes.
  9. You didn't stir anything up that did not need to be stirred up. It was definitely a good question to ask. I think if you did a search here you may find another thread or two about these things. To respond to Blaster668: honeycomb tube, really? Do you honestly believe that?
  10. I didn't know that he made pipes for a Banshee. I thought he pretty much kept to making road racing bike pipes. Of course I saw a picture of what someone claimed were Toomey out of frame pipes the other day.
  11. The sintered EBC pads are pretty nice. DP makes a good set of pads as well. Generall you get what you pay fro with brake pads.
  12. I mostly thought it was funny/ sad that there was a website out there for something like that.
  13. For $2k I would be looking for a title. For $1k I might be willing to deal with it. At the end of the day written proof demands more money than words any day.
  14. I've never heard of him, but you can't beat the 100% feedback from many customers.
  15. It's been messed up all day. General browsing, connection, and email notifications have all seemed to gone to shit. A few of us have posted the issue in the website issues forum, but have not heard anything back. :verymad:
  16. It sounds like at the bare minimum you will need to buy new case halves which are about $500 from the dealer. Your best bet is buy them off someone on here or eBay, but you need to be careful because lots of people have had the same problem that you have and try to pawn their garbage off on others. You may need a new counter chaft or shift shaft, gasket set, etc. and the price just goes up from there as you takit apart. If you post pictures, maybe we could help you more. I am a bad judge of what people can do on their own mechanically speaking. I tend think people are capable of more than they actually are. Maybe you can get a friend to help you or something as paying a shop to fix your motor could cost over $1000 including parts.
  17. You could also gain a bunch of weight. That might help too.
  18. Que nada.
  19. Speak for yourself. It would be very easy for several of us on here to make a shock shaft. As for the hard chroming, you can more than likely get it done for $20 if you can wait for another batch of parts to come through the shop that are being chromed to your specification. All my b.s. aside, I think there is a guy named Shane and aguy that owns Wolfpack racing running around here somewhere. They might be able to help you out.
  20. I have has both styles of the Modquad intakes and those aren't either one. Modquad makes their own parts. I had been told by someone that Boss made their own parts, but I also heard the owner of the company died awhile back. Those do not look like any Boss intake have ever seen. Sorry I couldn't help more. I was only able to tell you what you don't have.
  21. I wasn't talking about the crank?
  22. I am not sure how I feel about that.
  23. Without seeing a picture, I would say it's normal. Could your signature be any larger?
  24. The turn around time is the trick with nickasil. Most of the coating and plating houses out there operate with a pretty large bag log of work. If you can't get anyone to do better than a month for you on lead time, give me a shout. I might be able to work something out to help ya.
