  1. It's not that bad. If you go to college and get anyone one of several types of engineering or science degrees, you get to do things like multi-diferential calculus and quantum physics. Working out the square roots of large numbers in your head isn't that rough in the whole scheme of things.
  2. I think some of the Mexican guys that I work with know less Spanish than I do. :shoothead:
  3. I also did a search and couldn't find it. I will have to see if it bothers me enough to bo browsing through the forum. It wasn't that long ago that it was posted.
  4. He would then have to come up with misalignment spacers for those heim inmorder to make the whole deal work. I haven't seen any generic misalignment spacers that would get the job done on Banshee a-arms. You would have to buy them from some one like Jansenn.
  5. I am generally not one to give too many folks the benefit of the doubt. I fired him off an email asking to see some pictures of what he was talking about. The carbs were just stock carbs with a TORS eliminator kit on them and pod filters that I had left over from parting out a bike awhile ago. I even put a brand new throttle cable on them just to be nice. :verymad:
  6. What the hell...........the dude also sent me PM's about that shit. I think I replied to all of them, not really paying attention and seeing it the same person. I want a refund for my personal time. :verymad:
  7. That's sort of the impression that I am getting as well. If it were me, I would just fix the cylinders.
  8. So............I got an email from the guy this morning saying that the package doesn't look likme it was damaged during transit. I don't know what to do at this point because the carbs had absolutely nothing wrong with them when I shipped them and now he's saying the cable adjusters and choke knob are messed up. This deal is starting to smell kinda funny. What do you guys think I should do?
  9. I have an extra set of tops that I can send him. If it came down to it I might hit you up for that choke. There is a long way to go before that happens though. I packed the box well and insured it, so even if the guy is trying to scam me, I am going to make him work for it. If UPS ran over the box, then they will get to have some fun with me.
  10. You can send them to me and I will atleast turn them into some monstrosity, call it art, and then put it in my office at work.
  11. Remind me the weekend before hand. I tend to not have much of an advanced schedule for my free time. ::
  12. They're ok. It depends on what you do with your bike as to how ok they are. On the plus side, you can buy silencers with spark arrestors already in them.
  13. Since you are running stock cylinders I recommmend small bore pipes. Like I said in the PM we can run through the math if you want. You need to move a certain amount of air at a certain frequency for an expansion chamber to be efficient. There are alot of people running big bore pipes for no good reason. If you want the best pipe for you motor then you need to have a set custom made for you motor. If you want the best pipe you can buy off the shelf, then that is a different story. The Grand River Racing pipes are nice along with Wicked pipes. I am not a fan of FTZ or RDZ pipes, but i don't really have a good reason for that. Shearer's are good as always and so are CPI's.
  14. I know people do that, but I have a hard time thinking that is the best possible thing to do.
  15. You forgot a gasket kit and possibly seals. It all depends on how comfortable you are doing the work yourself with a manual.
  16. Interesting anger management technique......................
  17. I think there are some arms out there that use tierod ends from a Chrysler Cordova (Cordoba?) as well.
  18. Suprise! Gore is a retard............................what else is new. ::
  19. The guy said that the cable adjusters on the top of the carbs were messed up and the choke knob was broken, so I am assuming something happened very similair to it getting run over by a truck. It struck me as a bit odd as well. It definitely has crossed my mind that the guy is trying to screw me. I haven't heard back from him since I replied to his first email asking if the box was trashed. I know there wasn't anything wrong with them when I packed them up and the packing in the box was above my average pack job. We'll see what the guy comes up with when I ask him to file a claim with UPS. Atleast I did everything through Paypal, so he won't have much of a chance getting a charge back.

    Hello

I think there are a few places that sell them (don't ask me who though because I can't think of them right now). I would just order direct from them. Their customer service is really good and I tend to learn something every time I call them.
  21. My main complaint about DG in general is with quality of their parts. The pipes performance is probably as good as anything else out there for the price and they are certainly better than stock. The other thought process I have about DG pipes really is just that if you have a choice why wouldn't you buy something else.
  22. Ok, thanks for the heads up. I will tell the guy to file a claim with UPS. Do you have any idea how or where I should send him to do that? I packed the carbs pretty well, so I expect that it will pass their inspection, but you never know. I hate subjective crap like that, especially when it can screw me over.
  23. Didn't we go through a big long thread on this yesterday?
  24. That sounds like a pretty nice offer.
  25. Here's the deal. I sold a set of carbs on eBay and shipped them to a guy in Florida via UPS ground. I bought and printed the shipping label via Paypal (package was insured for full value). The guy just emailed me and told me that he just got the carbs and they were all busted up. My question is the following: How do you go about filing a claim with UPS? Who does the claim filing, the buyer or the shipper? Are there any other seller etiquette type things I ought to be aware of? This is the first time UPS has pooched something I shipped. :verymad:
