  1. I have to ask: Why do you need to get a new clutch to handle 30psi of boost (what I am assuming that you are referring to)?
  2. The Tri-Z on the left seems to have the same problem that your Banshee does? Does the Tri-Z on the right have two taillights? If not, which on the of the things on the back of that bike is the taillight (top or bottom)?
  3. That is definitely a lawsuit waiting to happen.
  4. I suppose I don't know the part number of what I bought. They were made by Mikuni and fit 32mm-34mm carbs. I have also bought these boots to fit the stock from the same place for around the same price as the other boots that I bought.
  5. That would be cool. I can't remember what Tri-Z taillight looks like.
  6. I would think so.
  7. Why do you run the two stroke oil? (I am assuming you don't have a two stroke diesel)
  8. You are correct. Trinity does not have any hand coned pipes.
  9. The sulfur is being replaced by some additive package that it supposed to be as good or better than the old diesel #2 formulation. I have read that several place, but haven't had any experience first hand with it. Listening to me might not be worth while.
  10. If you work for Parker, why the hell are you asking us about hose clamps? We should be asking you.
  11. The problem is that the sewing and sealing of that material is a pretty delicate/expensive process. I was only kind of kidding about calling China.
  12. http://www.fluidcontrol.net/pages/motorsports.html You could always put together a fuel line system with hardware from these guys. It might be a little on the expensive side though.
  13. I think you're right. I can't think of their name either. It seems to me that thye also make shock covers just like Outerwears does.
  14. The K&N units are about the same price as the Outerwear units, if not more expensive.
  15. I don't know that there is a company out there that makes them cheaper. There certainly isn't a company out there that makes custom Outerwears type filters in expensively. You may want to get China on the phone, they will pretty much make anything over there if you don't mind questionable quality.
  16. I want to say that it is 6.8 kg/mm, but you may want to double check that.
  17. You have to do the same amount of clearancing for 7mm and 10mm stroker crankshafts. The is because the 7mm and 10mm crankshafts are generally made from the same web forging. If you buy a billet web crankshaft then you may not have to clearance the cases for a 7mm crank as much as for a 10mm crank. I don't know that for sure though, maybe someone else can verify that.
  18. The "screw type" radiatior hose clamps should be fine.
  19. The last time I bought them from Mod Quad I paid around $16 for two, including shipping.
  20. You may need to experiment with that. I ran mine up to the frame and back down again. The reason I did this was that when I was climbing hill the oil would go to the back of the case and start coming out the breather when I had the hose routed like Bansh-eman suggested. I also had a similair issue with oil spilling out of the breather when the bike was riding in the back of my truck. The gear oil that had been deposited in the bed of my truck did not make for a nice night in my truck tent. Now the reason I didn't tell you just to do it my way is that many people run their hose like Banshe-man suggests and never have a problem. Either I am just the lucky one that got to have the problem, or there is some other oddity on my red bike that caused the problem (there are several oddities on my bike). :geek:
  21. I can provide a slection of information regarding your problem. None of it is going to answer your qustion though, I am afraid. It is porbably worth pointing out that the Outerwears are sort of a bandaid solution to keeping large particles (realtively speaking) of debris out of the filters in addition to providing a small measure of protection against liquids. With that said, everyone in the motorcycle/ATV world that run their vehicles without an airbox uses Outerwears (as do many other folks). The material that Outerwears are made of is actually used as a liquid straining (filtering) material in the food processing industry. With that said there are several places to buy the material in bulk, rather inexpensively. My company has been known to use this material to make our own pre-filters from time to time for a selection of applications. However, I cannot remember the excat place where we were getting the material from. I know the place is in or around Riverside, CA. I think the name might be Ironman or something like that. I remember the place a weirdo name. Anyways, they are a huge industrial filter supplier. Once you get the material you will then have a problem "sewing" it. You have to heavily over-sew all the seems after thay have been heat sealed inorder to get a good, resilient part. Moving right along, as you probably already know, given the option of making a solid shield for the air filter, that doesn't restrict air flow is the best thing you can do. Many times this isn't very feasible from a space claim perspective or the environment the filter is used in will compromise any efforts to shield the filter. Like I said before, I'm porbably not the most helpful, but atleast I can relate to the headache this project will give you. Good luck!
  22. I am having a bit of trouble picturing what/where the problem is. Could you post a picture of your pipes and carbs (and the oil/fuel residue)?
  23. That made me laugh out loud. I needed that today. Thanks. :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  24. You can imagine what my opinion of that guy is. I posted something last night in the Daytona 500 thread in the Sports forum that might be worth a look.
