  2. 9 paddle extremes? you'd better have some HP and your gearing squared away to run those on anything except a drag bike. According to skat-trak the 7 paddle extreme is a comprable replacement for the 8 paddle hauler. The extremes are so much stiffer and less forgiving then the hauler they require more power to turn. Dunedemon.
  3. OK, make it the dean's phone #. Just trying to help. Dunedemon.
  4. For Release: February 5, 2004 Contact: Mike Ahrens (760) 252-6047; Stephen M. Razo (909) 697-5217 CDD-04-21 BLM to Implement Pilot Fee Program at Dumont Dunes In an effort to meet increasing demands for services and facility improvements, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will implement a pilot Recreation Fee Demonstration Program at Dumont Dunes, a popular off highway vehicle (OHV) recreation area north of Baker. Other OHV areas in the region will not be affected but will remain under consideration for fees in the future. Funds collected through the fee program will be used at Dumont Dunes to support and enhance recreation services which include increased maintenance of the access road, additional toilet facilities, enhanced and increased medical aid equipment and staffing, and increased law enforcement. To kick off the pilot fee program, fees will only be required on President's Day and Easter weekends. The fee is $20.00 per primary vehicle and/or camp site when purchased onsite at Dumont Dunes or $18 if purchased in advance from BLM or online. The Barstow Field Office is located at 2601 Barstow Road, Barstow, CA and the online site is ThePermitStore.com. Over the next few months, BLM will analyze data and feedback in preparation of implementing the fee demo program for the new season beginning in October 2004. "Visitation at Dumont Dunes has been steadily increasing," said Linda Hansen, California Desert district manager. "The fees are necessary to offset projected budget reductions and ensure that BLM continues to provide quality services for our visitors." Congress authorized BLM to initiate the Recreation Fee Demonstration Program in 1996 in order to keep pace with the rising costs of managing recreation sites. The Act (PL 104-134) further designated the California Desert District as a fee demonstration collection site. "BLM has done extensive outreach with our various visitor groups, elected officials, and other interest groups," added Hansen. "Our constituents understand BLM's fiscal constraints and the need to initiate a fee demo project to maintain the quality of the recreational experience at Dumont Dunes." For more information on the pilot fee demonstration program at Dumont Dunes, contact Mike Ahrens, BLM Barstow Field Office, (760) 252-6000 or email: [email protected]. -BLM- California Desert District Office 22835 Calle San Juan de Los Lagos, Moreno Valley, Ca (909) 697-5200 Thought you guys would like to know. 5. JTQuad, after you turn onto Gecko Road "Sweet Maries" (vendor) is on the left side, look past them about 300 yards out in the dunes for a couple of trucks and toyhaulers, a mountain of empty Coors Light cans and you've found me. Wallrat, old buddy forget the washes, come camp with us. It is dusty as hell, noisey late at night, and early in the morning, and a bitch to get out of there when it's time to leave. I HATE the washes, refuse to camp there. Every one's welcome at my camp, the more the merrier. Long rides, BBO a smokin, good music, and most importantly....COLD BEER! Justintoxicated, give me the principals phone number, I'll take care of that for you. No excuses. InFlames, come on by. Dunedemon.
  6. I'll try them again..... Sorry for the double, the pictures would not work yesterday. Dunedemon.
  7. Any one going? I'll be there from 2/13 - 2/16, let me know we'll hook up and go for a ride. Dunedemon.
  8. SOLD...............
  9. Here are some pictures of the temp guage I got from "warp drive performance" Cost was like $25 looks like a "meat thermometer" but it was a snap to install and works well. Dunedemon.
  10. I'll be in my white dodge ram x cab 4wd with a white shell, weekend warrior behind it either on 3/5 or 3/6. Dunedemon.
  11. I don't need them, the bike is now a sand only machine, the wheels and tires are basically brand new, so I thought some one would put them to good use. I realize that $700 is pricey for a set of banshee wheels / tires, but if you have priced Hipers you know what they cost. This price is like buying the wheels and getting the tires for free. Dunedemon.
  12. Sorry CT-370LR, I thought wawllrat was the one making this purchase. Todd davis is the owner of TCS he can be reached at (909) 245-7484. Dunedemon.
  13. Four complete wheels and tires mounted, only 30 minutes of riding on them. Fronts are 4x115 bolt pattern, 10x5 size 3+2 offset single beadlock with black rings, have 22x7x10 maxxis razr2's. Rears are 4x115 bolt pattern, 10x10 size 5+5 offset dual beadlock with black rings, have 20x11x10 maxxis razr's. All 4 wheels and tires are in perfect condition, no flaws what so ever. Asking $700 complete, plus shipping, I have paypal. Will fit Banshee, Raptor, Warrior, Blaster, don't know YFZ 450 bolt pattern. Dunedemon.
  14. Wallrat, which TCS version are you going with? have you called Todd @ TCS direct to discuss your wants / needs? When you decide on a control arm brand make sure they come with new tie rod sleeves - some don't, ask if their balljoints are a direct fit or if the spindle needs to be reamed, and don't forget the brake lines up front, longer ones will make life easier when doing the install, and clean up the look / increase the brake feel due to less swelling of the line under pressure. Dunedemon.
  15. I would go with a 475 LB/IN spring for the rear (stock is 308 LB/IN) Having the rear shock revalved is always a good idea when making a large rate change. The spring swap will require the use of a spring compressor. Dunedemon.
  16. Go to your local bike shop and get some of those hard plastic ones with the pretty streamers comming out of the ends, they'll make your machine look great. I run the grey TAG's, like them so far......... Dunedemon.
  17. I can help out with rear spring rate changes, just let me know. I can reccomend rates, and ship direct, Banshee rear springs are $50, I've got them in 250 lb / in up to 500 lb / in rates in 25 lb / in increments. dnhyoung, you will need a 450 - 475 - 500 rear depending on the type of riding you do. Dunedemon.
  18. I'll make it easy on you efward, send me a check and I'lll send you the bike. Dunedemon.
  19. Here you go........... Clutch top view Bottom view Brake lever Both pieces are from "RTC Racing Products" Top quality stuff, the clutch lever is the "pro pull" model, features a 30% reduction in clutch pull stiffness, ball bearing pivot, quick adjust, brake lever works just like the original, had to have the matching pair. "Brian" @ RTC (918) 622-4998 I think you can buy direct, not a 100% sure. Dunedemon.
  20. I have a place at "Havasu Springs Resort" at the bottom of lake Havasu on the Arizona side, back across the parker dam on the Calif, side there are a couple of good riding spots we frequent both with some small dunes, fast desert sections, dry silt beds, deep washes. Both have nice paved parking areas with load / unload ramps you can back up to if you have your bike in the back of a truck, restrooms, a posted map of the trail system that goes for miles back in the hills, well marked with signs rating the "loop" you are on and a difficulty level. A pretty cool spot to ride in the fall / winter months. Plus back on the Arizona side in Parker ther is a dirt road out of town that takes you 7 miles out to the infamous "Desert Solar Bar" a rockin bar that goes off - that you can ride to, and then hopefull ride back from. Dunedemon.
  21. dirttrack25, I am curious how you "shave" the springs to change the wire diameter, can you explain this procedure to us? Dunedemon.
  22. boonman for president! Dunedemon.
  23. efward, if you are looking for a research student I'm your man. Dunedemon.
  24. Thanks Evil, just don't want to see people mis-led. If some one is more knowledeable on the subject or has a different view I'd love to hear it. Dunedemon.
  25. I'm a new dad, so I spend a lot of time with my wife / son. Play golf once a week (Sunday) cause I work the other six days of the week at Eibach Springs, sand rail suspension set-up for a local shop, and during the summer go to the river quite a bit, we've got a boat and 3 sea doos at or place in Havasu. But when I'm not doing that stuff I'm duning in Glamis. Figured I'd post it here too... Dunedemon.
