  1. Bob Ricci? I thought it was Weird Al. ?? Nice though. Any mention of beastiality porn gets a laugh in my book.
  2. I said I'd never do it again. Glaims around Thanksgiving. Not sure how I got pulled in this time, but I'm going!!! Headed out late tonigt. Will be camped in wash 1. White F250 crew with a beat down 24' komfort tt. Other stuff in our camp: white F150 26' alfa grey Chevy crew & 22' tahoe 36' motorhome with a 25' white enclosed. Wish I had posted something earlier to arrange a boardmanville run or something. Stop by and have a beer if you're around. ps bring beer.
  3. That's a lot of PMs Boon. Why not just post your price? I'm sure nobody would hold you to it if you want to raise it later...
  4. Has anyone had experience buying a quad from out of state and registering it in California? Any issues or problems that jumped out at you? I've bought a motorcycle from out of state and CA DMV has some crazy regualtions about purchasing vehicles with less that 7500 miles. Is there anything similar with quads? thanks
  5. Cool lookin. Is that the 04 or the 05? What was the 'special edition' you mentioned?
  6. The whip. Definitely the whip. Taking it off. Putting it on. That good stuff.
  7. Is "Sand Mountain" part of Dumont? Sounds too close to the name of the motorsports park in Pahrump "Spring Mountain".

    Olds

Where's "Jet Crash"? Never heard of that one. I was under the impression that the whoops at Olds filled in during the summer. Kind of an ebb and flow of sand making them bigger and smaller. This topic sounds familiar.
  9. Maybe he just couldn't think of a way out of getting married.

    dumont

Sorry ikikazz, going to hijack your thread here... OK. This post about Dumont reminded me of something I wanted to rant about. This is for everyone that went to Roostfest last (what was that) March/ April in Dumont. I really wanted to go but ended up not making it out there for the event. From all the post trip accounts, it sounded like a blast and the place sounded like a great riding spot. Granted I'd never been there. Well I finally got out that way, actually just drove past Dumont on my way to Pahrump and all I could think was - "That's it?!?!!" It's so small! It's a small strip of dunes with a flat area on either side... I could not figure out why an event like that, especially where people are coming from all over the country would be held there, when Glamis is avaialble. Can't be distance right? Some people driving from the midwest. Is there something special about Dumont that I just don't get? Please fill me in.
  11. I bought a kegerator about a year ago. It's a sanyo (I know, they make kegerators?) It's roughly 3.5' high x 2' wide - just big enough to hold a half barrel (15.5 gallons) and the CO2 tank. It came with everything. All I had to do was have the air filled and go get a keg. I was going to do the fridge conversion kit but decided against it. A lot of old refridgerators are extremely inefficient when it comes to electricty use and keeping things cold. If your're going to convert an old fridge, just by a conversion kit. Sold lots o places. They will have everything you need including a regulator. Sounds like what you're talking about (the portable version) is really a "jockey box" Run keg beer through iced cooler to cool beer. Not bad for a one day picnic if the keg is realtivety cold but not a good longer term solution.
  12. No big bowls at Gordons. Smaller area (thanks to closures) I'll take Glamis. I've seen drunk idiots at Gordons too...
  13. I'll second that. Front straight at Willow springs is about 148 MPH at peak and it feels like the wheels are coming off. Can't imagine 204
  14. People DO care dude. I guarantee it. I reposnded to the other thread on this topic to let you know about the existing MLK weekend Glamis Cleanup, but if you want to organize a separate one along with it. Rock on - I'll come out and help. Glamis could always use another cleanup... To be honest I think the best sponsor you could get would be a sanitation company. Somebody to donate the use of some 30' container style dumpsters and the services to haul them. At the MLK cleanup, I've driven my truck full of garbage bags up to Gecko to dump trash in the dumpsters but there is never enough room. I personally don't need free prizes to help out the dunes, I do it because it's I place I want my family to continue to enjoy for years to come, and there will always be knuckleheads who figure they can leave crap wherever they tread.
