Getting back to what q8banshee3883 posted originaly, I would have to disagree slightly, I would tend to think that if your bike is jetted correctly you don't need to change plugs that frequently. I put more miles on my cars than on my bike, I don't change the plugs in my cars every 1-2 months. Or am I missing something?

bigwill is on the right track, the paddle cups on the Extreme tires are molded with a Kevlar composite material which according to Skat Trak provides a firmer paddle cup with less deflection. For example, Skat Trak actually suggests that if you are running an 8 paddle hauler, and want to switch to the Extreme Hauler, drop a paddle and go with seven paddles. Supposedly because they are firmer, they act like a tire with more paddles. A good friend of mine knows the product development manager at Skat Trak.

Help Me Make A Trip To Celine Dione Worth The Trip
DUNEDEMON replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Steve Abbot has an ATV related shop in Vegas, but I can't remember the name of it. -
Wallrat and I were at Glamis (like we said) didn't run into anyone from the HQ. Justintoxicated, loose plug means air leak! ouch, better yank the head just to be sure.

woodman, I'm 27 and I live with your mom. She says hi. Sorry man but I going to have to side with Duece here. While it is certainly your right to modify your bike how you see fit, that does not make it correct. What you fail to realize is that Yamaha spent big dollars developing the suspension on the Banshee and the 450. They are two entirely different machines with different suspension geometry like steering inclination, balljoint angles, instant centers, roll centers, motion ratios and pick-up points, travel amounts, shock valving, spring rates etc... I could go on and on, I do suspension development for the largest coil spring company in the world. But what do I know? Oh, I don't care to see the pictures, hillbilly engineering does not interest me.

Handle Bar For 2003 Banshee
DUNEDEMON replied to q8banshee3883's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It's coing to come down to personal prefrence, what is comfortable for you / what you are willing to spend. I have the "Tag T2" bars and really like them. -
Don't forget you'll need more chain, and more spring rate for the rear shock.

What if you just started out simple? like mass production of bungs for a-arms where the ball joint threads in? carrier housings for honda style swing arms? relatively simple stuff in chromoly for some one building theese parts or for your own? Just an idea- once the set up is done you can blow through some material if you find a buyer. Delring a-arm bushings, tie rod sleeves, brake line / shock resivoir clamps, custom whip mounts. I'm just thinking out loud - small parts you could make from local suppliers scrap / misc cut stock so you're not buying huge pieces of material thus keeping the initial investment (read overhead) down. Talk to some local shops, see if there is a demand for the stuff and let that be your bread & butter, then get into the more intricate fancy time consuming projects.

I don't know what time is good for everyone else, but this talk of getting up and riding to the dice for breakfast has got to stop, I'm not about to get up that early, what do you say we meet up mid-morning, first we need to firm up who will be camping where, then figure what time and where we will meet. Like I stated earlier - you know where I'm camping I drive a white Dodge Ram x-cab 4wd with a white shell, pull a 22FT Weekend Warrior, my buddie has a blue 4wd Chevy Avalanche and pulls a 22FT Tahoe toy box.

There is an add in the back of Dirtwheels for a place called "JTM Products" (909) 854-3541 or http://www.jaeckeltool.com

That works for me, I've never been to this elusive pair o dice place you speek of, and I've been going to Glamis for almost 11 years. I'll have gas to lend, as long as you don't mind running the good stuff.

Unfortunatley the guy who makes the manifolds for Graydon Proline had a stroke around Christmas, and is not currently producing them (He's an older guy and lives about 5 miles from me). If / when he starts up again I will let you know. The carb I have is a kehin 35mm PWK air stryker. You can use whatever carb you like.

Hell, if everyone is so inclined we can meet up some place and ride to Gordons or Buttercup to meet up with everyone else. I'm not scared!

The "ASA" (American Sand Association) is not connected to the BLM. Money donated to the ASA helps pay for legal expenses that are working to keep our riding areas open. BLM is a federal group charged with governing (I use the term loosley) the public lands. I too asm a member of the ASA and donate / volunteer when I can. The fee BS at Dumont is described above in the BLM release. To see what the ASA does with the money go to http://www.asasand.com or http://www.glamisonline.org Dunedemon.
