  1. I would rather ride in the dunes than anywhere else.
  2. Yes, the ITP "Sand Star" slides great.
  3. http://www.itptires.com
  4. The v shaped tires turn / slide easier than straight paddles, but may sacrifice some straight line aceleration. Skat-Trak makes a nice tire too, I used to run them beforre I got the ITP's. The Skat-Trak v shapped tire is called the "edge"
  5. Personally, I would stay away from the GBC's, friends of mine have had poor results with the tires performance. I like the ITP Sand Stars for general duning (v shaped, 8 paddle).
  6. It will not do any damage to the shocks themselves. If they are valved / sprung for +2 arms they will be stiff while riding with stock arms.
  7. MotulMonsta do you do a lot of crank work at your shop?
  8. with booze running through them!
  9. MotulMonsta WTF are you talking about? Are you actually reading other peoples posts before answering (and I use the term loosley) their questions?
  10. It would be nice to read some spec's about it in english. Can you tell us about it, how it workss, do you like it, is the quality good? Pictures?
  11. Mine fit great, they do not use hanges out back for the silencers like your T5's did.
  12. Take that KFX and pull a "lawn job" on their front yard. Sign them up for just about every magazine you can get your hands on. Have a sign made that says "A Registered Sex Offender Lves Here" and put in their front yard.
  13. Like I said or any where else for that matter, plus there is not a foam filter made that will work for me. The filter I run is 4" OD by 14" long, the biggest one K&N makes, and it's still restrictive on the flow bench compared to no filter, but out flows any foam filter we tested (uni, twin air, etc...) no, the engine is the vaccum. You are entitled to your opinion, I simply stated wht I like and what works well for me in an effort to help Shredih make an informed decision, re-read your post Reas11 and perhaps yopu'll see it does not make sence. I have no problem with you disagreeing, just don't state your opinion as a fact, when clearly it is not.
  14. I've got the X-33, set at max width, no problems with the adjustment holes, I just make sure the hub to axle attachment bolt is tight (nylok nut with loc-tite).
  15. If there's no fluid comming out how do you know ther is no air in the line? If the line was disconnected from the caliper, air has beed introduced to the system, they need to be bled. The mity vac connects to the caliper bleed screw, pump the handle, this produces a vaccum and draws brake fluid out of the resivoir, do this until there is no more air in the line and you're done.
  16. Hand held vaccum pump, availible at finer auto parts stores.
  17. I'll stray from the norm and say go for the +2. I've never ridden a -length swingarm before so I'm biased. I've got a +4 and ride mostly sand, but still hit the hills / trails / singletrack with no issues. The increased length makes the bike more stable, for me it's worth the trade off in turning radius (after all I'm not parallel parking the bitch) and remember, changing the length of the swing arm changes your rear suspensions motionratio, thus changing the effective spring rate of the factory spring (longer arm = lighter wheel rate, shorter arm = stiffer wheel rate). What axle brand / width did you end up getting?
  18. Sounds like Jim's motors are reliable, Rudy's stuff doesn't last too long, his overide cut tranny's are nice, but his motors are time bombs, they're only fast for a couple of runs, then.......BOOM!
  19. the air stryker is made by keihin.
  20. My plans have changed, I will not be able to make it there until Sunday morning (I live relatively close). Any idea if anyone will still be there Sunday?
  21. Just to clarify, I do not run an airbox my filter is 4" OD by 14" long.
  22. Here we go again, Speedfreak must know imlovinit69.
  23. Right, you just slap their thighs and ride the waves in!
  24. I personally only run K&N's with an outerwear / pre-charger. The foam on the uni filters makes me nervous. I've never had any trouble with the K&N in the sand.
