did you possibly loose the air filter and suck in a bunch of dirt?that would wipe out a top end and the crank seals and hence loose all your oil if ridden like that long enough

huh,thats a good one.Im not to firmiliar with the two in one set up,but if you cant find the leak in the intake track,what about one of the crank seals?is it possible for one of them to be bad and sucking in air from the sides of the case?or a case leak? the black speckles look like paint to me.
