  2. id run 38/40 lectrons and go back to alky. OR 40/40 OR 41/44's run as much timing as your domes can handle on gas or alky. and i really hope your going to run an override?? all drag 350's really really really benefit from overrides. they let the motor stay wound up and in my opinion make them much faster. custom domes and loose squish than normal you need to let it REVVVVVVVVV loose as much weight off the chassis as you can. 8-12 paddle hauler depending on situations. on my wife's 350 rider i run 12's on flats. with a +6 its a bear to keep down at times. no lockup ( 9 plate clutch tho) the chassis is a full weight/ steel axle suspended bike.
  3. devcon also. OR moroso a+b. that is alky safe. and MUCH cheaper and easier to use than the devcon alluminum putty.. i'd like to see pics of these billet PJ's also. in my experience the BEST power jet is the DMR but who knows if you can get those anymore at all.
  4. set it as low in the chassis as you can. and as far back up to the swingarm as you can. this takes a LOT more work but lower the center of gravity and also i felt gave it more room. you will need to ( in my opinion) cut and redo some of the frame tube right behind the a-arms. that makes plenty of room to fit normal pipes in there. a lil modifiying of the pipes and you can have them suck right up to the frame like they should. you will have to remake th estinger tubes and that can take a lil work to get them looking just right. its not impossible just takes a lil time. the radiator is the thing thats the hardest to get looking really right. you can have a custom one built OR use your noggin and look for a few differnt styles of dirtbike/ street bike rad's and go from there. i think one of the threads someone had a custom rad built. take your time on the build and look at all the threads there are a few on here that are very nice and a few that i think look pretty trashy. you can make your own judgment's0
  5. i will be there for sure this time. had so many issues with the bikes electronics i just couldnt make it last trip. rember! you dont havbe to have a track only full on drag bike!! bring your stockers and wive's, girlfriends out if they like to ride. should be a good time

  9. bad stator. check pickup length. when stators start loosing power they will fire one side nice and the other wont have the same power to fire adn one plug will end up weak. its a long shot but after all you have done? clean carbs completely. i mean remove the dump tubes, intake air bleeds, everything...
  10. synch the carbs! check electrical. check plug boots make sure pickup is set correct make sure wiring is all right. make sure you have NO air leak. and no i looked at it is not good enough.
  11. just order 30 and 32.5's hell why not even get a set of 35's just for sheets and giggles oh and i mean a pair of each. that should cover your bases.
  12. how much does it run a gallon.. can you not run alky at the "races you run? the very very low temps might require a few additions to keep it burning ok. what carbs did you try the alky on? i mean between having to purge, running low mpg and the other issues? just curious
  13. my first run at a track i was told the track was slower than most. ran a 4.3-4.4 no bar straight off the dunes. standing it straight up and running 1.7 60's i weigh 300lbs.. 535 10 mill cheetah. much smaller and lower HP than a big DM averaged 70-73 mph just build it and have fun!
  14. is the other side of the crank rubbing the case? if its too wide it will rub OR there is a wacko chance you have a screwed up bearing. or a screwed up machined side webb on the crankshaft..?
  15. depends on actual condition and if your wanting to move it quick, or let it sit, or ride it yourself.. price can vary from 2500-4000. IF the motor is a true 440cc stock cylinder and its nice internally it alone SHOULD be worth 2000+ itself.

  21. thats exactilly! what i was thinking when i seen this thread. i was pretty disapointed it was about banshee's. ran all stock stuff for years, mx racing, duning, trails etc etc. had the best luck and reliability with it. and yea on motors that are 10+ years old shit is going to wear out some!
  22. they should run in the 200-230 range on gas. thats if your moving well. less on race fuel ( but its a serval right/)
  23. 745! holy hell man. thats more then 2 350cc's.. you better be super careful if your running in a short chassis with a lot of tire. thats a lot of motor. hell the hook you would have might just shred a trans anyways. pipes... not saying anything yet. i think i am going to try and get barney done for this trip.
