  1. you run a mack engine in your ride.....I'm sure upgrading to an F1 unit will definitely help out with the mack engine you're running over that fuel injection unit you got up there on ebay.
  2. You got the bottom end still all together? Everything except the cylinders and head? What condition is it in?
  3. I thought it was an alba cannibal.....now its a ford cannibal....make up your mind man....only thing alba sells for the cannondale is some accessories and a slip on exhaust. Maybe if you were talking about a moto or something, or new what the f*ck you were talking about....maybe we'd take this a little more seriously. Even when your 15 or whatever age, and havent been around a computer much, take some time to make some coherent sentences and maybe we'd believe what you have to say a little more. Aint nothing ever going to beat the banshee up hill. Unless its got a swapped engine dropped into some other frame.
  4. .

    Used Banshee

well shit....considering you'd drive to Tennessee for one.....I'd say anywhere short of Hawaii would be close enough for a good enough price huh?
  5. I run mainly trails and run the LRD adjustables. Wouldnt run anything else, I can ride slow as any 4stroke and when I'm not in powerband it mainly feels like a 4stroke power/torque. I can adjust my pipes to where the powerband comes on so I've got them adjusted where I can ride right at the edge of powerband in whatever gear I'm in. The powerband is real smooth with them, and comes on over a greater rpm range instead of a lightswitch feel that could come on unexpectantly and send you somewhere you dont want to go. When I raced my buddy when we had the same exact setup, with a rolling start on the road, My LRD's we're dead even with the T5's in a race with a little edge going to the LRD's on top end rev, and they just felt like they pulled a little harder than the T5's. Switching bikes we were about dead even within a bike length both ways. And lowend difference was second to none. Stick with your stock gearing, you'll be fine. The stock tires suck and shortening your swingarm is a major improvement on getting traction to the ground on a shee. Razr2's will help you out quite a bit with a stock swingarm. Another good trail tire if you get into mud/shoot hills at all would be a 20" blackwater tire. I run a 21cc dome on my noss head and it puts me at 150 lbs of compression at 900 ft. A 20cc might put you on the edge of having to run race gas at 0 elevation. I'd stick with the dual carbs. For a trail type setup after you get porting and such 28mm duals taperbored to 30mm seem to be the best setup to run. If you run mud/water/really dusty conditions at all I'd stick with a ProFlo foam filter. I ditched my airbox a long time ago and have gone through thick and thin with my foam filter, mudholes, coal dust, and my intake tract has stayed clean throughout it all. A K&N would give you a tiny more power, but I feel for my conditions and how I ride that the extra little power isnt worth the reliability of my engine. (take some baby powder to a k&n and see if it passes through when you squeeze the bottle). It's all about how you want to set your shee up and exactly what you'll be doing with it. There is so many different modifications you can do that will take you in any direction you want to go. Get some dual stage reeds and it'll completely improve your throttle response. Completely changed how I rode my shee with how it reacted when I wanted it to react (kinda hard to explain). And also get some of those bolt on kick ups that go on your footpegs. I slipped a peg once and it wasnt pretty, and after putting them on it increased my confidence and being able to push on them in corners helps cornering some. The main thing, do a lot of research on every mod that you want to do to your shee. Because its been around so long their is soooo many different options for every mod. This site is full of information and is starting to be a good resource again since its changeover we lost a lot of search info. If your interested in fatties, consider like type pipes. Do a search on LRD's, paul turner mid's, fatties, and other pipes that you'll feel interested in and find out as much as you can about them before purchasing them. You could spend weeks here searching to get the answer you want, but you'll be completely certain it will be the one you want to make.
  6. We have a state park here in PA a couple hours away from me that is open to snowmobiles. I figure I register my atv so why cant I ride it as well. One of the few state parks that is actually rideable. So at the one trailhead there is a bar and thats where everyone parks. First time we've ever ridden there, and by talking to a few people it is a rare rare thing to see atv's up on the trails. So we start heading off into the trail that leads into the main trails, and the thing is all tore up, ruts everywhere, dig outs, whoops the whole way out to the main trails. We pass a small group and they all give us dirty looks, and then pass another group and one of the guys actually gave us the finger. They were looking at us like we were the ones that we're causing this opening trail to be completely torn up. Where in fact we we're one of maybe 10 quads that ride the area all year probably. Later on in the open trail areas and lake area a lot of the guys we're cool and thought it was cool to see an atv venture out into the snowland, but it goes both ways. I think I feel I should be able to ride there without ridicule....and a lot of the snowmobile riders need to get off their high horses and realize that its not us atv'ers that tore up that trail. There's a lot of cool snowmobilers out there, I just know that their is a lot of snobby ass dicks that think they are gods gift to the trail system, and that because they are on a snowmobile, they are of a higher class or something.
  7. Getting them out, Use an old flat screwdriver and some good penetrating lubricant and beat the from the inside out, Just dont beat up on the carrier itself. And then putting them back in you can either take the old bearing and grind down the outside of the bearing race and use that bearing to work the new one in, beating around in a circle, or you can use a big socket that your sure that contacts the inner and outer race of the bearing and use that rotating around the bearing to work it in. Getting the axle off, if it doesnt slide out, use a socket that will rest where the hub rests on the axle, and hit the socket.....never hit the thread, or a nut on the thread. I'd recommend going and getting a grease fitting and drilling the carrier and drill holes in the inner tube that holds the inner races from collapsing, remove the inner seals on the bearings so you can grease those suckers up.....it'll make the bearings last a lifetime longer
  8. How's this sound? I watched your special with Ozzy on his crash last night and was upset with a few things that we're discussed. I've been riding atv's since I was old enough to hold on to one which is almost 20 years now and have much experience in the field of what atv ozzy was riding. When you showed Jack stating that its a "race bike" that is capable of speeds of 150 mph it started to portray an atv as this crazy machine. And then you backed it up with the comments on how many are killed and injured on atv's every year. You also stated that in the US its a 3 billion dollar industry a year. What you failed to report is that how the use and buying of atv's has dramatically increased in the last few years, and although with more people riding atv's there is going to be more accidents and deaths, the actual percentage rate of accidents and deaths has dropped in the last few years. Our sport is a great sport, and we are trying as hard as we can to preserve our areas that we are allowed to ride in, and there is so many others that have blinders on that only see the bad of our sport, looking for any ammunition they can to take our sport away from us. Please dont give them any more ammunition. It would be great to see a story on the flipside of this. How its a great sport, and it brings families together, and is a way to explore the country. My grandmother and grandfather just last year got to take quads out and get into nature and see how beautiful our country is and took all these pictures. And when they got back they told me they understood now why I have an atv and how much it means to me to be able to go out and explore the countryside with it. It would be great to see a show for once that would support something with our sport, instead of bring up the same bad statistics to bring the sport down.
  9. I just wanted to state to you dex that I'm not personally coming at you and was using you as more of an example. Calling you a bitch was probably a little out of line considering I dont really know you....but shit like that just pisses me off. We got into a big whole discussion on this when we first got moderators here. I'm just not very good with people that have control over what I can say, or do, or write etc. The moderators here do a great job of that, letting things run, and we can speak our minds. They keep things in order, and the site running smoothly. This site is so great because we have the ability to say what we want without out fret of being banned or getting the thread locked. You did what you did and you had your reasons, and it was a misunderstanding, and it was fixed, and you can all move on. I was just trying to point out how I feel someone with the power with moderatorship needs to look at a bigger picture and before shutting down something they dont understand, take the time to understand it before proceeding with what needs to be done. And then ken opened his mouth and created a whole new ball of wax.....
  10. thats pimp man, I cant wait to get a house, first thing I'm gonna do is fire up the shee and do a nice fat donut right in the front yard and claim my property. That little sunroom is pretty sweet too.
  11. so if you've been here longer than me ken....what other names did you go by before using the ken one? I've also gone by the name Mighty_Abyss, and Abyss on the old old forum but I lost the PW to that one and cant get back into that name. If you care to do a search on those names you'll see that about 90% of my posts are informative ones from what I've learned in personal experience and from others on this site. What "rules" did he exactly break on BT anyway? Not a member of the site and dont care to be so I'm not exactly sure what the "rules" are. My point is....if some french guy came upon bluetraxx and wanted to ask a question and ask it in french....would he be banned too? I'm sure that would have to be under the same rule, Considering binary code is a language. So if a moderator is supposed to ban someone because he doesnt understand something, before even taking it up with that person.....I'm certainly glad I'm not a part of that site....sounds like communism to me. Also interested in what his "good reason" is. And then to top it all off....in these last posts you talk about how you hate how people whine about this and that....but its exactly what you did when you opened your mouth in this thread.....just kind of contradictive in my eyes. And then you follow it up with ranting of immaturities when the very words your typing are putting you on the same level you talk about
  12. I'll give ya $10 + shipping for them, or I can come down and pick them up depending on how long of a drive it would be for me. I live right near philly.
  13. It's pretty funny how you talk about new members ken, considering what it says below your name. And to think that we're 15 year olds just because something "different" is going on, and its not all what YOUR into.......you put it down. Having said that, who is the person coming out looking like a 15 year old? Yeah....this is an atv site, and the main thing talked about on this site is Shees, but this is the general discusssion forum, where we can talk about anything. Stop being a bitch
  14. The real question is..... How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? I dont know what this has to do with dusty raptors.....but I'd take a dusty raptor over a hungry tyrannasaurus any day of the week......except saturday.....any day but saturday!......maybe thursday too.....would have to see if I could fit it into my schedule. And on a side note.....what kind of dust are you talking about? If its anything like pixie dust.....that might be the problem....pixie dust tastes god darn awful
  15. What he said.....why dont you stop wasting MORE of your precious bandwidth and instead of posting a moronic comment, go help out with the site some.....
  16. where you live?
  17. hey....good for him for riding a banshee.....I hope when I'm as old and whacked as him that I can still throw my leg over a shee and almost kill myself. Hopefully in the program he'll stick up for the 4wheeler. Guess we'll have to see. Something like....Back in 89 when I had my first shee it was the time of my life hitting second gear and kicking it sideways around a corner.....I just forgot how fast they are and how old I am....it was my fault.
  18. You still reading this thread Dex? You gonna lock other threads of people that dont speak english as well Or is it just the languages you dont understand? Binary code could be used as a translator between 2 people that dont speak the same language I'm glad I never got into bluetraxx....sounds like a bitchass site run by a bunch of pussies that dont understand a lot of things I'm sure if I posted something like this over there I'd be banned before I even hit the reply button. Why dont you go be a bitch and find some guys talking french and ban them for a change.
  19. lets just say I drive a recycling truck for a living and I've got a customer that likes to spread rabbit shit under the handles of the container because he got upset that I didnt take his little coleman propane tanks. Got a couple other non related situations that I've been dying to take care of as well. The paste is almost as liquidy as a paint, so that Idea might work rather well.
  20. I can get my hands on some extremely potent color that they mix in a paste type material so it doesnt go all over. They use it for coloring plastics and stuff of that degree. Basically if you get it on anything....its not coming off. Is their a way to fill your own paintballs or something to that degree? I was gonna use tied up plastic bags and one of those hand pellet launchers you can get at wal-mart.....but a paintball would be so much better and accurate. I got some assholes that need to learn a lesson.
  21. you also might want to think about sending your cases to jim anyway, at least the top case so he can port match the transfers to the cylinders.
  22. you can try taking a hair dryer to the cracks and bleeding the blue back into them. Be careful not to melt them. It should help them some. If your shee flipped out of a truck and your worried about stress marks in your plastic......consider yourself lucky
  23. 1st and 2nd week in June I cant do. Got family things going on. I'd say last weekend in June or a weekend after the 4th of July would be a good time. How's this sound. I know a lot of people arent gonna be able to make it this time....and others wont be able to make it next time, so why not shoot for a date in late june, mid july, and then we shoot for another date like the first weekend in october. (Sept 16-19 is bad because there is a monstrous car show down in wildwood NJ that would be killer to check out for those that can get to it. Cars on the boardwalk until you have to turn off the boardwalk because you cant take any more in. They have a parade where they drive them around, dyno runs, burnout contest....cars burning out on the side streets, etc etc. And then to top that all off in Northern Wildwood is the Irishfest that you can go to and get a good groove on) How about June 18-20 June 25-27? July 9-11? July 16-18? For dates to pick? I figure we can pick those and do a poll on those dates if they sound like good times to go to everyone. And then set up another get together in the fall. And with your situation mcaf....maybe we can do a little something before you ship off outta this area. It's all up to you guys....I've got a helmet cam for footage n stuff and cant go the first 2 weeks of June....but am up for almost any other time.
  24. get yourself some TSL Radials.....You'll never get stuck.....My buddy goes everywhere in 2 wheel drive in his 94 full size blazer......he's only had to put it in 4 wheel in a few deep holes around here. Plus they're quiet on the road and handle pretty good, only time you can hear them at all is around corners when they're aired down a little....that things in the shop more than its on the road though.....full aftermarket warranty....they keep asking him to renew it. It's got 130 grand on it....been through 7 or 8 POS rears, 2 tranny's, a swingset's worth of antisway bars and the list goes on and on.....but he gets it repaired for a 25 dollar deductible so.....needless to say its not his daily driver.
