well, besides the 5500 I paid for it out the door I probably have another 6-8 grand in parts for mine with all the tires and stuff I've put on it. I have a sickness.....but its all worth it when your out on a trail and hit that powerband, pulling a wheelie sideways holding on for dear life. Most expensive toy I have in my corral by far.....and I'm far from being anywhere near done. I just spent a grand on a nice backup shee thats gonna become a stroker....

I'm voting for the weekend of the 17/18.....I'm gonna be coming up Friday as soon as I get done work. Should be up there by like 4 or so. I'll give ya a pm closer to the date about where I can meet up with ya meat, help bring stuff out to the campsite, or meet you out at the site and how exactly to get there. Bring that inverter thingy so I can charge up my camcorder and helmet cam batteries. Hey meat, if you want me to come up the weekend before we can rip around a little bit and I could get used to the area, and help out setting things up. (If I dont have to go camping with the family down in Virginia). Maybe I could shoot up there a couple times in may and june to get used to the area so we have more than just a few people that know the area. We can get some helmetcam footage that I can throw up on the hq as well to get people excited.

What mods do you already have? I'd go with a coolhead and bump the compression up a little bit to about 155-160 or so. Get some dual stage reeds great increase in throttle response over stock reeds, timing key, tires if you dont already have good ones for your type of riding....maitenance stuff, brakes if they need it soon, sprockets and chain, etc. If you are on an unwelded crank I wouldnt port it, it could rip the crank apart. I also wouldnt port it until you're sure what you want to do with the engine. Like if you want a stroker eventually, you're gonna have to get portwork done for that stroker, and you want to port transfers for the rest of how the engine is setup, if you want to change something later like go to a stroker, you might want different types of things done with the porting that you wont be able to do because its already been ported. Just things to think about. I just know I'm not going with portwork until I rip into the bottom of an engine. -
bump! Still have everything except the cases and 1 set of jugs

I'm a big fan of that gasoline on all the bushes thing, throw it on the small trees as well.....those suckers are expensive to replace. Definitely go for the registration sticker. Maybe follow them to a wal-mart or something to get the registration sticker (they have dogs so remember they hear things really well). If you can get away with it now, a box of roofing nails in the driveway is always a fun thing to have to clean up....and thats if they happen to notice it before they pull out of the driveway. Next time the dogs are loose, call the cops, tell them its a reoccuring problem, and they run all over the place and piss on everyone's trees.

tell us what mods you have and what type of riding you do and we'll steer you in the right direction -
Basically have a whole engine here that I'm going to be parting out. Everything is still here except the cases. Going to be putting the stuff on ebay shortly and expect to get ebay prices for them. Figured I'd put up the notice here if anyone wants to cut out the whole ebay thing. Trans - good shape, little surface rust, needs new bearings, comes with a good front sprocket Crank - still in good shape and tolerance levels check out, looks like bearing went bad on it on the one outer, only inner race left on it Cylinders - dont know exact bore, can go get it mic'd if wanted, lots of meat on the sleeves still Might be selling another set of cylinders that need a .40 overbore, and I have one of the pistons, rings, wristpin, and clips for (need the other side and wristpin bearings to complete it). Might keep these for a backup set. Stator, flywheel, clutch assembly, parts or whole, shift drum, forks and shafts, clutch cover (probably going to polish it), and all the other parts that go with an engine. If I didnt name it, I probably have it.

dual stage reeds.....it'll completely change the way you ride your quad. The stock reeds suck worse then a man having his first homosexual experience -
Blown 9 Second Qtr. Mile 67 Camaro
. replied to T-REX BANSHEE's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
holy crap thats a lot of money. We got my pop's 69SS Nova with a Blown 468 thats got 2 shots of nitrous, tubbed, all set up that will run 8.8's for a little over 8 grand. We got a good deal on it for sure, but every year down at the hot rod show in NJ I see hooked up cars all the time that are going in the 12-15 grand range, including a lot of the camaro's, and they're built to the tilt. -
I completely forgot you were going for that this week. Congratulations man. The feeling of self accomplishment is always a good thing. Let me know if you get a hold of your buddy and what he says. Take it easy, and good luck with the rest.

New....you pay more and know that nothing has ever ridden in the cases, and that they are perfect. Used....they are less than new and if you do your homework you can get a nice clean set that hasnt been abused...the 160 you save could get you a complete new top end.

You get that parking brake disconnected yet? I know you can pull the rear part out of the caliper but I think you also need to disconnect the wire coming from clutch perch (I believe, I forget, its been so long.) You're gonna need a brake blockoff for the rear caliper, they're like 10 bucks or so, not expensive. Saying that you still have the parking brake installed, makes me think that 99.9% chance is that its the parking brake, its staying engaged and thats what it'll do, as soon as you try to give it gas, it'll just bog and such.
-
How much you want to pay for them. I've got a set here that I'm probably going to be putting up on ebay. Will cut out all the ebay crap. Let me know. I see what they are going for on ebay right now, and am expecting to get that price for them. I'm gonna be parting out an entire engines worth of stuff pretty soon. Looking for ebay prices for everything. If not.....it'll just go on ebay. Here ya go man:

If you wanna keep those cases, would you want to when you pull the bottom end apart put everything else in a box and sell me that? I need every little single part.
-
Just a thought, do you still have your parking brake hooked up?
-
get some pics of it and send to [email protected] What's it got done to it?

hey ben, how about the banshee roosting sand or the other skull and pistons putting it up over your heart on the front Or an even better idea. How bout the skull and pistons over the heart, the banshee roosting sand on the back or something that represents banshees, glamis or something to that degree with a banshee pictured in it and then having the bansheehq.com running down the sleeve. That'd be pretty sweet. You could have the bansheehq.com over the picture as well. I'd buy 1 or 10 of those for sure

trying to save some space and trying to get some of these mpg files transferred over to wmv and forget how to do it.....I know theres a converter or something you have to d/l....but I forget Any help?

on my stock brake lever theres a screw that you can adjust how far you can press the plunger in. I dont know what year shee's they did this with, but I know a kid that has a 2002 and his brake lever doesnt have the screw. Maybe the screw wasnt in far enough? Maybe somehow it was creating a vacuum at the master cylinder with the lines on that when you let go of the brake lever it just sucked it back in, and when using the screwdriver it broke past that barrier. Good to see you got it working though.

Got some new gas tank plastic without the clips on it and figured I'd try here before going to the stealership for them. Let me know if any of you have any lying around somewhere and would be willing to send them my way for shipping cost + a little extra. Thanks
-
so its not bleeding down through your lines but the master cylinder is checking out fine? The fluid go down at all when you try bleeding them? Try getting those stainless lines back on there and when you crack the bleeder on the calipers see if it pushes air out of there. Sounds like a blockage. Try to see if you can blow air through your brake lines and feel if it flows through there. Get one of those little vacuum cups that you connect to the bleeder. They work pretty good.

Idiot Of The Year Award...anyone Help..
. replied to STLbanshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
yeah...its not a regular die to be able to rethread it. I would die it to get the threads right again so you dont cross thread getting the nut on. You should be alright....my dumbass beat on the nut with it on the axle and I didnt hit it exactly square and the next thing I know the nut was sideways. I know someone at the local dealership and borrowed the die for an hour and fixed the threads up. You should be alright....but its always a good excuse to upgrade Future reference, when hammering the axle out, use a socket that will rest on where the hub butts up against, and hammer on the socket. It'll save the threads from any impact at all.
