on your guys s-10's are you running vacuum canisters? It helps out with building up braking power dramatically. Drivers side fenderwell with the VP sticker on it: And on the shee vs. R thing its like comparing apples and oranges. You can build a shee to compete with an R on the track, but the nod will always go to the R because of the way the banshee geometry is set up more for an open area type setup. Likewise if you build an R to compete with the shee in the dunes, it can come close, but never be what a shee can be because of its smaller length, frame setup, and that it will always be a 1 cylinder engine.

nah, I know of a Maurice Johnson, but Maurice was his middle name and John his first. Found out he's a different rank and thats an army rank, not a military rank which he is in. (by the way, dont get me started on the topic of him)

stupid is as stupid does......

sorry to hear that man. Where was he from? Was Maurice his real first name or was it John?

not trying to destroy your sell thread, but was the helmet ever dropped, have you ever crashed with it, etc etc. A helmet can get stresses in it very easily and create weak spots if you ever happened to crash hard into a rock or something it wouldnt protect you as well. It's looking pretty scratched up and looks like its been through some abuse. I bought a used helmet for myself (checked out the inside of it very well to see if I could notice anything) and use it when I take my girl on joyrides and give her my helmet to wear. But even then I'm not riding hard at all.

For Sale: "race Ready" Banshee And Blaster & More
. replied to DarkStarCRX13's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Hey, where do you live? send pics to [email protected] of the banshee, blaster, Lt250R motor, optima battery, throttle cover, and banshee plastics. Very interested in some if not all of this stuff. Thanks -
good luck. Stock bore cylinders that dont need to be bored are kinda rare. You can find them, but its not the easiest thing in the world. Just a wondering, but why did you get stock bore pistons before you had cylinders?
-
I've got a set of stock cylinders, need to be bored .40 over. Have only one .40 over piston, rings, and wristpin that comes along with it. Will let go for 250 + shipping. I started polishing the outside of the one cylinder, but havent had time to work on them as of late. Was going to be my back up top end but ended up buying a whole backup engine.

which is not a very good thing when you are coming down a steep windy hill and catch a downed branch sticking out of the one side of the trail causing your banshee to do a slow roll on top of you, stuck upside down, pouring gas out onto you.....its not the easiest thing to find the petcock as it is.

for a membership I wasnt thinking like 20 bucks a year, more along the lines of 50 cents a month or 6 bucks a year. Or maybe 10-15 bucks a month and for the first year you get a sticker, on your renewal you get a coffee mug or something, 3rd year you get a t-shirt, so on and so forth. You'd be getting something in return, and something to look forward to for continuing to renew your membership. I know I'd glady pay a dollar a month to be able to have the information of this site at my fingertips. I pay more than that for a dirtwheels magazine that is usually useless information that the only thing its good for is to find good deals from companies on products. And the best part about it is that it will weed out a lot of the people that are just here for alterior purposes and things of that sort. Sure, we'll loose a few people that are informative on this site because they'd "refuse" to pay some nominal fee, but I feel those people will be few and far between. And on a side note, how much would you pay for a "banshee" magazine that would give you all the new information on upgrades, things going on in the banshee world, things for sale for a banshee, people that want things that you might have, etc etc. You have that right here at your fingertips, and its continually updated.

adding the 104 stuff to regular gas will do nothing if your bike is still stock (make sure you get the stuff from the dealership that doesnt have all the additives, just plain octane booster), But I feel running race fuel over premium pump gas does give you a little advantage. It burns much cleaner than regular fuel and creates a better combustion process I feel. When I was running race fuel and my buddy on his atc250R raced me I'd beat him consistently by a bikelength or 2. He didnt have any gas left so I gave him some of my race gas, and it woke that 3wheeler up. We we're dead even all the time and I was having a hard time beating him. It definitely made his 3wheeler faster.

first bike I ever had was a bultaco. I was 8, Me n my buddy got it off his dad, and if we could get it running we could keep it. Well we got it running and that thing was crazy. We used to ride it out back his place in the woods and on the pipeline that runs along the Northeast Extension of the Turnpike. Only way we could stop was to lay it up against a tree or something, and if and when we dumped it, hopefully the other one of us was around cause we couldnt lift it up by ourselves. I remember I dumped it on top of me once and was stuck under it for like 10 minutes until my buddy showed up to help get it off me. Then the 3wheelers came, started off with a honda 185S, quickly moved to a 200x(owned like 4 or 5 of them), then I had this suzuki quadsport that was beat to piss, had a wooden board for a front bumper, that I traded in for an atc 250R that needed a new front end (guy bought it, had it for a week, hit the powerband and it sent him into a tree and he messed up his back, thing sat in his garage ever since), Fixed that up and had that for ever until I sold it to my buddy. Inbetween while I still had the 250R I bought a blown blaster for 250 bucks. Had a paul Turner pipe, bigger carb, reedcage, etc etc. and ripped pretty good. But I couldnt stand being left behind on straightaways and on the road by my buddies on their 250R's, banshee's, and raptors. So I went into the dealership one day, and their was a leftover 2001 sitting there for a hell of a deal, and I've never looked back since......except on the atc that I should of never sold.

lol @ doink. I prefer to be called abyss (old s/n), or period, or mighty_abyss, or Bryan or whatever you want to call me.....just not doink. It sounds like a teletubbie character or one of Barney's friends. But if you must call me doink, at least call me Mr. Doink, Sir Doinks (a lot), or add something to it to turn it into some sort of porn name.

what da hell? -
I've done a lot of thinking today about this whole situation (spare work truck doesnt have a radio). I read a lot of posts this morning in threads that I cant seem to find anymore that were probably deleted for good reason. I've come to this conclusion, and kind of put it into a different life situation that hopefully many can understand. A buddy of mine has the "party" house. The place where everyone goes to hang out, the door is always open, etc etc. He's got his friends that hang out all the time, and throws parties at other times. Now say one of his friends starts disrespecting the house, bustin on the guy all the time (in fun for the most part), puttin down his other friends etc. And then he throws a party, everyones having a good time, the friend that he is already uneasy with gets all hyped up and decides to go piss on the carpet in the corner because it would be "funny". Sure....everyones laughing at the time, but the guy whose house it is isnt laughing to hard when the next morning he's gotta steam clean the carpet. So he decides, you know what, I'm not gonna deal with this anymore. I provide a house for these people to hang out at, spend money on all the food, electric, etc that these guys use, and all I'm getting out of it is a pissed on carpet. So he doesnt let that friend come back. Sure, all the other friends bitch to let him come back, cause they dont see the disrespect of the household going on, all they see is a friend that got kicked out cause things got "a little out of hand". And all this guy is thinking is you all wouldnt be hanging out here in the first place, if it wasnt for me. So he gives up to his friends, and lets the person come back into the house, but the next day there is a for sale sign in the front yard because the guy doesnt feel like cleaning up any more piss. To all you people that were bitching about this whole situation (except you reas, she's your girl and you gotta stand behind her), This is Lee's house, he pays for you all to be here. Sure, he takes donations and sells stuff in the store, but do you think he's really making any money off of this? Much like the guy, he sees the bigger picture of all this. He's providing a place for all of us to hang out. Key word is providing. If it wasnt for him none of this would be here. And for anyone to put him down in his own house that he built, is just assanine, to say the least. Do what you gotta do Lee, some people have fallen short of realizing what this is all about, some people just like to push envelopes and see how far they can take things, and the rest of us just want a good solid information base that we can hang out on and shoot the shit

How many points do I get for spotting a guy today with a mullet halfway down his back, work boots with jeans tucked into them, half unlaced of course, shoveling mulch out of his beat up f-250 with a confederate flag in the back window into a wheelbarrow, all in the driveway of a 600,000 development home? -
my grandfathers a vet and I used to nab bottles here and there and sell them down at raves for 80 bucks a bottle. You can lay it out on tinfoil in an oven and crystalize it, creating the powder known as "special k". You can mix it in with a cigarrette, or your favorite smoking substance and thats the main way to get it into your system. I've tried it a few times, makes your body completely numb, hearing all distorted, and the more you smoke the more tunnel vision you get and the more the other effects of it grow. I was in a club called fever when I was 17 I believe, Cypress Hill was having an afterparty there. I smoked enough to put me into a "K hole". It's when your tunnel vision gets great enough that you cant see anything anymore. All you see is black, but you can still here everything. My throat tightened up and I guess I was making this weird coughing noise to try to clear it out, and a friend or two were asking me if I was alright, and were realizing I went into the hole. It was kind of like being blind with earplugs. That was the last time I ever tried the stuff. It's not even a good drug really, and there really isnt any euphoria to it. You live and learn I guess. Only way to be able to informatively talk about it is to have been there.

Which Of These 2 Tires Are A Better Choice?
. replied to SyNtAxx's topic in General Banshee Discussion
dont get the bandits, they are to tight of a lug and all your gonna do is spin. You want more of an open tire. The razr 2's should do pretty well in the coal, but you also should look into some 20" blackwaters. Talk about some hook in the coal, they rip. -
yeah, I'm gonna paint her eventually, but thats the LAST thing I'm gonna do. Not to worried about looks yet, its getting a whole new front end race setup, blocked in frame, rear ladder bar tub weld in setup, painless wiring, roll cage, flip up front end, different tranny, real good fuel delivery setup, interior is gonna be fitted, and the whole body will be prepped and smoothed for paint. Will pull the body, paint the frame a darker red or black, and then paint the body and mount everything back together like it was new. Gonna go with a dark dark buried in tons of clearcoat black cherry for the body that will be black until the sun hits it, and even then you'll just get a glimmer of the cherry. Lots and lots of time and money will go into it, like 2500 or so for the rear end setup not including the gears themselves. I'll never get what I put into it out of it, if I ever do decide to sell it. It's my main project until my dad gets to old to drive his 69 nova. I cant wait to strap into that thing and be able to drive it like I own it.

probably wont see a dyno for a couple years, but its a proven engine. Not just a these things look good together engine. 525hp 485 ft/lbs of torque. I just hope it doesnt rain all this spring, summer, fall, so I can get a lot of time into her. She's so close to being street legal its driving me nuts. The idiot who owned it before me beat the firewall back so he could take the distributor in and out, and I gotta pull it back some so the windshield wipers fully work. I also have to get the right turn signals to work, they light up, but just dont flash. Tighten up a few bolts and its roadworthy. The dualie flares in the back are all gonna be smoothed into the bed when the tubwork gets done, and I'm contemplating getting a whole fiberglass removable/flip up front end. That'll probably be the route I'll go. It'll be sick when I'm done with it though, trust me. As it sits, the guy before me had a 327 in it with nitrous pushing 600 hp and it ran a 10.22 in the quarter. I'll have the same hp about and hope to lighten it up quite a bit.
