they are an alright quad to start out on....was the first 4wheeler I had. Got it for 300 bucks with a blown top end. It had a paul turner pipe, rad valve, larger carb, and a K&N filter, plus a little cleaning up of the intake and it was dead even all day long with a piped warrior in a drag race. They are fun in the woods, but all my buddies had 250R's, raptors, and banshee's and any time they could open it up at all.....they'd just walk away from me. I could stay with them decently in the trails.....but if they hit a road....they'd have to wait for me. I also dont like how they are built....very cheaply if you ask me. Everything is held together with cotter pins, the rear brakes sucked (well....never worked) and the front drums were a little bit of another issue. I put maybe 500 into the thing the whole time I had it....and thats including 2 rebuilds. And then sold it and got my money back. I beat the ever loving piss out of that thing.....and it rolled down so many hills that I dont think anything was straight on it.....it would always start up first kick afterward though. I remember one time up in hazleton....I stood it up on a hillclimb....and was standing there with feet on the ground.....holding it from flipping back....and my foot slipped. The thing did a 180 and started flipping head over heels down the hill, and ended up landing right between the a-arms, on a tree that broke about 5 feet off the ground, with the rear tires still on the hill.....you could walk under it. Got it down off there, pulled the handlebars back up, realized I had no brake lever left so I had no brakes at all.....and had to come back down the mountain to where we were parked.....good times.

I want 250 for the cylinders that need to be bored that come with the 1 piston, rings, wristpin and circlips.

yeah, its the complete top end, only thing missing is the wrist pin bearings (like 12 bucks for new ones, I'd throw new ones in anyway). It got like 2 gallons of gas run threw it and then my buddy went with a cheeta setup he got really cheap so he pulled them off. They are wiseco pro-lite pistons in it. The pro design head will work fine with it. I dont exactly get what your saying about changing them over. You could switch the whole cylinder and piston assemblies at any time. You could pull the head, pistons, and switch them over at any time. I'd keep them as a backup like I was using them as, and then when your top end starts to wear out, you can switch it with this one and have no down time while your getting the other cylinders bored and new pistons for them and such. Sure....it starts with them cutting howard stern out.....but what comes next.....you can be arrested for stubbing your toe in public and yelling out f*ck? Your not getting the bigger picture, they are trying to change the 1st amendment of the constitution.....and deny the first right written in the amendments.... That right there is what bush's legislation is basically fighting for to get rid of. To control our freedom of speech. I too voted for bush, but in the last few months I've seen how he really is. He got this big idea in his head how people arent gonna start liking him because of this whole war issue, so he started making reasons for people to start pointing fingers in other ways. Howard Stern supported bush, supported the war, and said something about him bashing him the one day.....next thing you know clear channel pulls him from 6 of their stations, and congress is throwing down a law about if anything is said on the radio not deemed suitable for kids to hear, vulgarity etc., that the individual can be fined 500,000 per station airing it, with a total of 3 million per day. That includes yourself, if you call a station up and say something about shooting a load into your girls mouth the night before.....you can personally be fined 3 million for it. Any music group that has a curseword played thats in their song can be fined. And it gets better, their trying to pass that you cant have a dvd player in your car because you could be watching porn and someone can look in the window of the car. The FCC fined howard for something that he said that Oprah Winfrey said the same exact thing......she didnt get fined....and the reason when asked about it by the FCC.....Oprah Winfrey is a beloved person and Howard is more of a lightening rod and easier to go after. Whatever happened to being able to change the station if you dont want to listen, or control what your children listen to. Howard stern airs during the day while children should be at work anyway. And before they go to school.....dont listen to it..... They not only are taking our right away to not be able to say what we want....but are also taking our right away to be able to listen to what we want......when is it going to end? Not to mention the fact the other finger Bush is pointing is at the whole gay marriage thing......who cares......theres a war going on......doesnt he have bigger things to worry about?.....

I've got a top end that needs a .40 bore. I've already got one of the pistons, rings, circlips and wrist pin for it. I'll trade you that plus 100 bucks. Got some other little crap laying around like reedcages, stock intakes, clutch assembly (would bite into that 100 dollars), transmission setup (would nix the 100 bucks) I've also got another top end thats .60 over I believe the pistons say (55.5 mm I believe). They've got maybe a gallon of gas through them, crosshatches are still on sidewalls. Only thing missing in this setup is the wristpin bearings. I'd trade either of these for the t-maxx.

If you run trails I'd got a pro flow foam filter setup and get rid of the airbox lid. I've gone through some crap with that filter and its never failed me once. River riding, mudholes that probably went over my airbox for a second or so, coal soot.....you name it, I've been in it. I dont know how far off they are from the adjustibles, but I run a 320 main and a 30 pilot and it seems to like them both very well at about 1000 ft. I forget where I have my needle setting at....havent been in there for a while.... Are the VPR's more of a top end pipe?

man, we ride the streets up at my buddies all the time, dirt roads and paved back roads. The Northeast extension of the Turnpike runs right through his back yard and there are tunnels that run under the turnpike for the creeks. We had this statie in his patrol car bouncing through this cornfield after us the one time....It was kind of hilarious, reminded of dukes n hazards. We just head for the tunnels and then they have to go find a bridge to cross to get to the other side and by then we are longgggggg gone, or the bikes are locked up in the shed and we're in his house playing playstation or something by the time they drive by. I dont even know why they try to chase us anymore. The more sets of plastic, the better. I've switched back and forth a couple times and used different combinations.

I'm sure that got1 can vouch for himself.....but giving people the runaround about an item that you paid good money for and causing a great deal of hassle with many other customers is not a good way to do business *not to mention the first time I saw them on ebay, I brought them up in topic in the chat room and the overall consensus was that they were built cheaply, no reinforcing brackets for the shock mount, etc etc.* You wouldnt happen to be the guy making and selling the arms would you? These are people that bought the arms in the first place, why would they come on here and start stating stuff if it wasnt happening to them? They went with quicksands because it was what was recommended to them after they couldnt deal with getting the runaround any more. I had the same problem with a piston kit from Recreation Unlimited now known as NBS distributing. They were giving me the runaround and 6 weeks after non returned calls and emails, I finally get an email saying they were sending them out....2 weeks later I get the kit....with only one piston, rings, circlips and wristpin. It was missing the bearings and the whole other side. I went with another company....and told everyone on here not to buy from them....and I hope noone has. If you cant do proper business.....you shouldnt be in business at all. EVERYONE needs to be taken care of no matter how big or small their purchase, or at least be pushed in another direction if you cant handle their purchase or situation. dick.

I'd also warm your engine up for a couple minutes before you do it. I was reading 90 lbs cold and 115 warm when my engine first started wearing down. I'd start thinking about a rebuild at 105-110.....mine let a ring go at like 105 If everything is still round, I'd go with a wiseco setup anyway. The pistons are lighter than stock and will rev faster. Make sure you always do a hone on the cylinder walls when ever putting in new rings so they will seat together.

how bout 30 shipped? The things basically brand new, I only ran it a couple months before switching to extended arms. And I bought a-arm guards for them about a month after I bought the quad.

was the fine grit a silver color? If so thats probably piston material. Look in your exhaust port to see if you have a ring hanging up, or in your intakes to see if the rings hanging up there. I'd at least pull the head, your gonna need to go that far anyway

need a set I can cut up for my IMS tank, dont want to pay a lot because they'll only be on there when I need to throw the tank on there for extra mileage (usually only a few times a year) Can be any color.

damn, me and my girl go out 2 or 3 times a year (not including the 30-40 dollar dinners we go out to a few other times a year). I'll pull out 250 for the night, stop, grab something cheap for dinner, 10 bucks a person at most, maybe a drink with the meal, and then wherever we end up for the evening, we'll devour a better part of a bottle of our choice alcohol, party for the evening, and I'll wake up the next morning with a couple bucks in my pocket...... I dont know where the money goes, but when your out there dancing, and you dont have a bottle in the one hand, you feel off balance.....just gotta keep the balance man.....and its usually to offset the lightening weight of my wallet.

If you can wait for monday or tuesday I can send you one for the price of shipping. It should only be a couple cents. I have a coolhead and my top end gasket kit came with one I didnt need. Pull the head off while your at it and look on the gasket for any type of discoloration coming from the coolant passages into the cylinder, or out to the outside of the engine or studs. (chances are it will be to the cylinder), make sure you back off your cylinder nuts from 10 to 1, it will help from chancing warping the head. Send me a PM with your address

Go with the Ford, they are a beast of a truck, and one of the few real trucks still out there. Dodge's are decent too, I own a dakota and would never buy another one again though. My next truck will be a F-350 quad cab, all vinyl interior, regular size bed (if I can get a toolbox and my quad still in there). It also helps that I can get it under the A plan

With my hood setup, and a K&N top hat on my air filter it'll gain you about 10 hp over a cold air induction type setup. The force of the moving air flowing right down into the air filter, plus whatever the engine is pulling in naturally will net you a hp increase. Hence, ramming the air into it.
