go get yourself some cheap ass flashlights and tape those suckers to the front of your shee and carry a set or two of backup batteries.....if they happen to still fail ride with another person and to get out just cruise behind them and watch their tailight for bumps.

you might have a clogged petcock.....which actually could be leading to a lot of your other problems with it running lean and such.....if you were sucking the bowls dry it could of went lean on you a little bit (just a possibility) Pull the petcock off and give it a good cleaning and see if that helps any. You get that new top end on yet?

mine always had one cylinder cut out....depends how hard you're on the gas when it happens I guess

dont know much about xp....might need a driver to get sound to upload. I would think that it would upload sound though. What are you uploading from? I know win2000 usb upload sound is supported.

If your gonna put octane booster in your shee.....they make a specific octane booster that is only octane booster and without all that added stuff to clean the jets and such. I know they sell it at the dealership near me. They sold this other stuff in little bottles in this little shop in WV, and my buddy had to run it in his 280lb compression 250R motor after he had to swap that one in because he lost 3rd in his other motor. Adding Toulene sounds pretty interesting.....if anyone tries it, let us all know

I've seen areas that they set up an area that is all blockaded in that they allow them to still be on the street, but its more set up like a track. The spectators stay behind the guard rails and their is an area for someone to stand to send them down the road. People dont like going to tracks because they are few and far between. I know philly has a big street scene going on, I used to be a part of it but got out of it. I've seen lots of bad things happen and lots of cops busting races. Have gotten lucky and never been caught. I dont know how big it is anymore, but I'm sure its still going strong. Most of it happens down in business districts that arent populated and not traveled. If they would set up one of the streets that would make it a lot safer, and let them race, things would be so much safer.

I'd recommend the first process of getting rid of the boost bottle. If I found that boost bottle in one of my recycling bins, I'd take it and throw it right back up in your yard. That shit aint recylable anyway. Only stuff they can be certain of what it is, is recyclable, like cans and such. Actually I'd probably keep it and try to sell it on ebay for a couple bucks. There is quite a few companies that sell wiseco piston kits for 150 bucks shipped to your door that include everything you need. If you really need one I can look in dirtwheels for you and give you a few. Rebuilds are easy. A bore job will be between 70-100 total (call your local machine shops to find out) Pull the plastics, pull the tank, pull the pipes, pull the coolant hoses. When you take the cylinders off take the head off from the number 10 on the head to number 1 to decrease the chance of warping. Dont forget to drain the little bolts on the side of the cylinders to keep coolant from going down in the lower end. Take the cylinders off, take them to the machine shop and find out what bore you need to go over (64mm is stock). Order the piston kit that you need and take the pistons and cylinders back to the machine shop so they can machine the cylinders to the pistons. When you pull the cylinders, stuff rags in the bottom end to keep stuff from getting down there, take one c-clip off each piston and pull the pistons and reinstall basically the opposite of you took it apart. Torque the cylinders to 20 ft lbs. 2 of the front inside bolts I believe you'll need to use a wrench and use your own feel of torquing them. And then torque the head to 20 ft lbs in 3 increments (10,15,20) from 1 to 10 on the head. Install the rest and you're ready to start breaking it in. thats a whole nother topic. I'd recommend honda makes a 2 stroke oil that is non synthetic for the first 3 gallons of break in. If you want more tips on break in, I can run you through a good process and you can do a search, its been talked about quite a lot. (some of it may have been lost when the forums got changed over to the new style) If you've got any questions about the process at all, dont be afraid to ask, there is a ton of banshee guru's on here, that have been through it all. I've been through a lot, but have taken information in through this place like a sponge and I've been here since this place's early days.

If you've got windows 98 it doesnt support uploading of sound with a usb. I believe their is drivers you can get to support the uploading of sound. But I got another gateway thats a lot faster and better machine (out of the trash, some kid musta got a new one or something) This little 450mhz pos HP just isnt cutting it any more.....I knew it was junk when I had to pull the cd-rom and power package halfway out of the tower just to install the little wire that goes from the soundcard to the cd-rom. Plug and play my ass. Gotta love being a recyling man......all sorts of freebies. Finally just bought a power inverter to see if stuff thrown away still works. In three years I've gotten brand new leather couches ("special" rooms of rich folk that want a different look). 2 kids recliners, a kids chair that is dressed up as a giraffe (basically brand new and their like 100 bucks), a nice recliner, 2 20" computer monitors, the HP I'm using now, the Gateway (tower, 17"monitor, mouse, keyboard), digital electric heater that was brand new, a cat tree house that is well made that's gotta be worth like 300 bucks, all sorts of tools, and many other things that I cant remember right now. One rich man's trash is another man's treasure. Gotta love ebay.

Hadnt started the shee in quite a while and pulled it out and tried to start it and it wouldnt start.....wouldnt pop start.....nothing. So I pulled the carbs, cleaned them and threw on my v-force reedcages (you need to cut the stock intakes to put them on right?). Ended up my needles were gummed up a little bit, threw it all back together and got it to fire up but it was only running on one cylinder.....If I rev'd it up it would kick the second cylinder in, but it was idling real high when it was only running on one cylinder. Pulled the sparkplugs.....was checking them for spark....trying to find everything that was wrong....and nothing..... Then I look back on my rear tire and saw the choke tube......I was like Put it back on and it runs great now. Those v-force give me some great low end pull as its coming up to the powerband. I notice my off idle....like if I'm just off and on the gas in first gear its really bucky. Not smooth like it was with my dual stage boyeson's. Any ideas on how to get rid of that buckiness?

coming soon to a HQ near you. Abysshelmetcams in your face riding action. I've had one for like a year now and have only been able to use it one time. First ride, right at the end as we came back to our trucks, I was doing a wheelie up the stone driveway, started spinning on some grass growing up through it, gave it some more gas and grabbed stone again, grab bar dug in, rear tire grabbed in, and next thing I know I was cartwheeling down the driveway. Busted my a-arm up at the spindle, bent grab bar.....and a broken camcorder. Turns out that my dumbass put the camera on camera mode instead of vcr....and the whole time the only footage I got was sound.....it was a good ride too. So now I got a new camcorder (same one), 3 extra long life batteries for it, and like 15 tapes so I'll be getting plenty of footage. Paid like 430 for the helmetcam from helmetcamera.com (the better resolution one) and like 300 for the camcorder with all the extra stuff off ebay. It's a trv-330 and an awesome camcorder. It's got video in and a firewire. Now all I gotta do is transfer all my stuff over to my newer gateway and get off this shitty HP with windows 98 that doesnt support my firewire and wont upload sound from usb. Soooon though.....when coalfest is going on, I'll be riding down in Virginia.

I'll take the lights off ya. Do you have the whole assembly that I can install them right onto the shee without any other parts? (rubber parts bolts etc?)
