  1. The only shit talkers i know in real life, dont have a quad at all, and the other one has a 230 quadsport!!! My riding buddies though all have 4 strokes 1. YFZ450 1. 450R and 1. Predator. They dont talk shit at all, actually the only thing they say to me when riding with me is "god that thing kicks up a lot of shit, or i cant see when ever im riding behind you!" It's always the people who know they cant beat you that talk the shit, so they can make themselves up to be tougher then they are.
  2. I dont know what China shit your buying but the last time i had something made in china or taiwan it snapped in half. I wouldnt go as far as saying their quality has caught up.
  3. I know this sounds cheap, but i think the stock rear shock works great. You could get one for around 100 bucks on ebay. I dont see the point in aftermarket rear shocks unless you are gonna jump it, then you could just get some aftermarket springs for it. Just my 2 cents, ive never ridden a banshee with aftermarket rear shocks on it and mine handles great in the dunes.
  4. I'm pretty sure you can have it rebuilt. A good machine shop could probably do it. I'd ask around your area and if you cant find a place that will do it then try the internet. If no luck with that then you probably will just need a new one
  5. If your talking about the castle nut on the end of the axle id make sure the cotter pin holes are clear of any chips or anything like that. A little heat would probably help too. for the axle nuts i used a motion pro shock wrench. I bought mine from the local Yamaha dealer. You might have to order one but they work very good.
  6. I've seen one of them new Mach Z sleds they are 1000 cc twins. Edit: whooops didnt see the part about banshee. In that case the largest ive seen would have to be mine because i never really see too many banshees around here.

  8. Hahaha thats nothing i know a kid who drove his warrior with a passenger when it was pitch black out. He had a flashlight in his mouth for lights!!!! Then i guess they hit a tree but they werent going that fast luckily.

  11. There could be a number of reasons for this happening. You could have a clogg in a jet or something on the left side and it wasnt getting fuel/oil. May have also had a leak in a crankseal or something, or your air filter was bad. Just my guess, they usually dont just blow for no reason. If i were you id get the new one trued and welded. This will keep vibration down to a minimum and keep it from coming apart.

  13. I'll Never be w/out a Banshee. They are just way too fun. My Buddys all have 4 strokes. 1 has a YFZ the other has a 450R and an other has a Predator. NONE of them kicks as much Roost as the ol banshee can. I dont get Yamaha though, their 2005 YZs are now top of the line bikes, with better power to weight ratios then the 4 strokes now. Im sure they will be kicking ass with those YZs why not put some new tech into the banshee. 2strokes 4 life
  14. AMSOIL series 2000 racing oil (think thats right, not sure though) @ 40:1. I personnaly think with a good oil 40:1 is a good ratio. I never have any problems fouling plugs or boggin down and its just a tad richer then 50:1.
  15. I heard that the T-6 pipes are more of a bottom end pipe. A dude i talked to had em on his SHee and said that the power kicks in very quickly.

  17. I think they are pretty slow. A dude i race with has one with tons of suspension and a pipe. He can corner fairly well and jump but thats probably it. THey dont have all that much power to keep up with shees on the straits.
  18. Sounds like your salesman is a friggan idiot. My buddy has a YFZ450 and it has never shut off on him. They are a little hard to take off sometimes but not much different from the banshee. They have a ton of midrange though and are awesome cornering machines. The suspension is also very adjustable which is a very nice plus. I dont care who you are this is an awesome quad to ride. Unless he wants reverse. Then get an 05 400ex.

  20. I hate the law its bull shit. I got pulled over in my own god damn lawn. All i was doing was puttin along side the road in my yard, because my field is fenced in, so i went to turn around, (turning away from the fence,) and had to turn a few feet onto the road. Thats when a god damn cop pulls up and gives me a ticket. Luckily it was only a no helmet ticket.
  21. Just nail on the gas and shift while having your weight back a little. THis works well when you have traction or start out in first and hit it and just try keeping it balanced i found in 3rd its easy to stay in the power and keep it up for a while. Just dont hit it too hard though because you fill flip back hard and it will twist and roll and probably land on you.
  22. Hell yea thats a good deal. THe frame and suspension alone is worth more then that. Plus those 250x motors are pretty good.
  23. I cant see how the dirtbike sux, i know their RM250 rocks, thats got like the most powerful engine out of all the dirtbikes. If they were smart they would put that in a quad and have a real quad. Bring back the quadracer!
  24. We arent talking about 4 stroke cars we are talkin about 2 stroke quads. I use to have dual carbs and they sucked. of course your not gonna gain high end power but who needs it? Most people need lower and midrange power, especially for MX. The 2 into 1 carb gives a bit more low end power so that you can come out of corners and not have downshift to first or second just to get back into the powerband.
