  1. Eric Gorr @ Forward Motion....3 weeks
  2. I'm down for a ride...let me know man. I've got a buddy with a 440, hot cam, curtis sparks pipe, high comp piston...and to be completely honest, they're fun as hell to wheelie on, but that was the only fun I had on it. If you think doing wheelies is going fast, a 400ex isn't too bad of a choice. But the shee ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS the 440. By the way, I just bought some Pro Circuits Platinums w/silencers off of HQ for $260.00 shipped to my door and they're damn close to brand new. The deals are out there, just gotta look.
  3. It all depends on what you're trying to do it on. I was getting 'em pretty high with my t-5's in some grass/dirt. I really wouldn't wanna try with some big ass rockets. I sucked at 'em until I learned how to use my hips. I slam my hips into the bars when I grab my brakes and the back end comes right up. (I would be careful trying this on pavement)
  4. I also set mine at 1/4 inch toe-in (like quad4me described). Try to set the tires straight with the bars first, then you want 1/8th-1/4th toe in.
  5. I've had the Armadillo Custom Lite bumper for about 2 years now. To be honest...I shouldn't have bought it. I'm not sure how much they are now. but it was $115.00 then. Let's just say there's not too much of a "bumper" with whole 2 lbs of aluminum. I haven't actually ran into anything with it...but you couldn't tell by looking at it. I've got a dent the size of a quarter on the bottom bar that I have no idea what from? And I came up short on a double-double and smashed the botttom bar into the frame. I loved the bumper when I first got it...but I don't recommend it for trails or MX. It would definately be a nice sand bumper, but I'd somehow look for a chrome one ..these things are hard as hell to keep polished. My next bumper will be the Tag bumper w/the mudscreen for sure.
  6. A blaster cable w/out TORS might work. I had my dealer make me a steel braided cable for about $20.00. I just had to bring my shee in. Hope this helps....
  7. I've got a PEP rebuildable one that I love. It was $130.00 on ebay. Going the Noss machine route would be cheaper. I just wanted something rebuildable...
  8. It also makes you shorter, making it a hellofalot easier to throw around!
  9. I'm a little confused on how you're trying to put them on. If you're not, put everything on one at a time. The cushions should fit over the clutch boss fairly easy, but it should be a snug fit. Then slide the cushion all the way back and so on.... Sorry if this doesn't help at all.
  10. Thanks to Holyman.... Click------>What to Look For
  11. I'd say 14, maybe even 15
  12. I've got damn close to your same set up. T-5's, 2-1 intake w/34 mm PJ, V-force 2's, Noss head, open K&N, a Gorr port, and I'm at 800 ft. To be honest, the port didn't change jetting a whole lot. Before the port I'm pretty sure I was at a 175 main, 58 pilot and the needle was on the 2nd clip from the blunt end.
  13. Becareful if those elka's are zero preload. It'll feel really off balanced. When I first got my TCS(zero preload) fronts I still had the stock rear shock. Todd told me that it would be unbalanced, so I knew jumping wasn't a great idea. I was messing around anyway just jumping ditch to ditch.... let's just say it doesn't make it very easy. I've got a zero preload stocker rebuilt by TCS, and now shee flys! You might not have a zero preload shock, and in that case I would think you should be fine. But I highly recommend at least rebuilding the rear to match the front.
  14. I'm still running my stock crank. Like loco said, I really don't think you'll be getting enough power to actually need to do it.
  15. I'm gonna say no. I've got a 15/41 on now, and I like it. Just remember, it might seem like you have a little more bottom end. But you're gonna have to shift more. With the 15 you'll have more traction and less shifting. But if you're not liking how it feels, theres nothing else to do but try it and see if you like another size better.
  16. It's technically called the "Mo' better everywhere" port. But I consider this port being great for MX and Woods. I use it for MX racing, and mess around in the trials/woods when I'm not racing.
  17. Yes, that is very cool...I need to get me some
  18. Sounds like a good start to me.
  19. Is there such a thing as too much compression ...never heard of that before. BUT...at 160, I would be looking in to some type of AV fuel, or mixed race gas. If you don't want to run anything higher than 93 octane pump gas, I wouldn't run that head or you'll have some detonation in your motor.
  20. The dealerships here aren't as big as what those sound like they are. I've actually become sort of a friend w/the manager in the parts department. So now, not only do I get an extra 10% off, if my shit's late, they scramble like hell to find it.
  21. Giver 'er time...I'm sure somebody else will chime in. Before I had put in the V-force's I was around a 170 main w/ the needle on the first or second clip from the blunt end. It's gonna be hard to try to guess where you're needle clip is suppose to be. I think that's something you'll have to mess with when you get the main and pilot set. By the way....how far away is Enfield, IL from eastern Iowa?
  22. I've never heard of a twist cable working with a thumb throttle either. But I guess it doesn't hurt to try it. I'd like to know what you think about it once you get it, too!
  23. I've been trying to look for a 16. But I can't find one anywhere. RMATV, Magic, etc...they don't ever have them listed for a Banshee. EDIT: Nevermind! RMATV still doesn't have them. But I checked Magic again, and now I've got a 16 tooth on order!
