  1. I would really like to see more pics of your bike. Do they sell long travel arms w/ the chassis set-up, too? If only I had the money...
  2. Here ya go, I found this when I searched "seat". Seat Bumper Mod
  3. That really sucks to here that. There's quite a few HQ Members in Wichita, maybe they can help you out. I hope you get your shit back...
  4. I guess we have different opinions. I've tried both Denton and PEP (which is adjustable and rebuildable). I wasn't happy with the Denton, but that was probably because it needed rebuilt. In no way am I saying Denton's are "worthless", I think they're just as nice of a product as PEP, as long as they're both rebuildable. I've heard of people having to rebuild their stabilizers twice a year (Denton's and PEP). Buying a rebuildable one will be worth it in the long run. There's no way in hell I'd say Denton's are the nicest thing money can buy. If I had the cash, I'd go w/GPR.
  5. I wanna see the video of #7! Those were all pretty good.
  6. I've never tried it personally, but I've heard a lot of people saying you can't powdercoat the stock a-arms without f'in up the ball joints. Supposedly, when the powder is heated, it melts the rubber the ball joints and they eventually fall apart...just somethin' to check out.
  7. That's what I paid for them a little over a year ago, and the site I posted had them listed for 750 back then, also. But he's raised prices since then...
  8. Here's a price chart------>TCS Prices Those are the only TCS prices I could find online when I was looking for shocks. I would go straight through TCS, though. I can't really compare to Axis, elkas or works w/+2+1 arms because these are the only shocks I've had with the a-arms. But they perform great compared to the Works I had w/ the stock a-arms.
  9. Exactly, the only time I run the studded tires in at the radar run I go to every year. I don't think I'd like those fukkers comin apart on me at 70+ mph!
  10. What gearing are you running in sand? You're positive your motor's just a mild MX port? It sounds pretty damn strong to be spinnin' the tires through most of the gears with a 17 tooth! But I've never tried running a 17 tooth...
  11. It sounds like you pretty much have it figured out. It's basically a preference if clearance isn't an issue. I've got 18's for MX and 20's for fields, and trails. There's no way I could make it through some of my trails on 18's without getting stuck. Personally, I would look into getting 20" Kenda Knarly's for trails, and then have the 18" Tamer's for MX. Unless you're not happy with the way the TT's are performing now, I wouldn't worry about getting another 18" tire until they need replaced. Just my .02. It's also you're preference on gearing, but to me you sound to be geared pretty high for a mild MX port. I've had a Gorr MX/Woods port for about a year now and I'm still running 15/41 gearing with the 18's and 20's. I can tell a difference between the two tires, but all I'm worried about is the gearing for the 18's (for the track). Like I said before, if you're happy with the way it is, don't touch it.
  12. I definately wanna see pics of that. Like Broke said, I remember the YFZ on ebay a while ago that had the Banshee motor in it. Looked kinda goofing, mostly because of the pipes looking so weird on a YFZ. Good point, much simplier. If ya want more power...look into a cr500 motor or this--->Saber Racing!
  13. Cutting a few coils off of the spring will help. I think I cut off 3, and then stretched it out a bit to make up the difference. Something else I have found helps is buying a Honda thumb throttle (look on ebay). This has helped me out more than anything else I have tried. The only thing I personally had to change on the assembly was the cover. I had to polish that bitch down so I didn't have any Honda on my quad... I've even heard of people buying the TRX90 Honda throttle because of the longer lever, I saw that over on YFZCentral---->Honda Throttle Edit: Forgot about the shifting question...I had my shift star modded by boonman here on HQ. I'm not sure if he's doing it anymore, but it helped out A LOT. You can actually find neutral now, and it's not impossible to shift with cheap riding boots on.
  14. Banshee HQ might be able to help What exactly do you need help with? Are you looking for help with the ones you have, or are you looking for new ones?
  15. I believe they stopped making those in the late 40's, which means if you ever do find one she's gonna be at least 60 years old...If you look at the bright side, in a couple more years she might lose the rest of her teeth.
  16. I dunno too much about drag bikes...someone will chime in. You got any pics?? Sounds like a sweet ride!
  17. You'll need time because of how long it takes for the shocks to get out to you. I'm pretty sure the wait can be over a month long for Axis depending on the time of year (in season, out of season, etc.). I've heard people say PEP's taking over 3 months...because they're are only two guys building the shocks. They're are a lot of high quality shocks out there. It all depends on how much you wanna pay and how long you wanna wait.
  18. I haven't put tubes in the tires I've studded. Just make sure the sheet metal screws are just short of going all the way through the tire. I've also heard of people studding the tires, then using slime to seal up any leaks, I've never really tried messing with the air pressure while studding them, so I don't know if that has any effect. But like I said, I studded them with 4-5 psi in them and I still haven't had a problem for one year now. How many are you putting in?
  19. Hipers kick ass!! I've got 10" fronts and 8" rears. I don't think you'll have any problem finding tires for 8" rears. The smaller 8" rim will let you play with the sidewall flex a little bit more because of the bigger side wall. I personally like the look of the 8" rear beadlocks, but I don't think I've ever seen 10" rears in person before. The OMF scallops and Shamrocks are pretty damn good lookin' too. But I wouldn't like polishing them to make 'em shine.
  20. I had to muscle 'em to get it all lined up with the frame. I really love the heel guards, and the huge pegs rock. I've abused the nerfs quite a bit and I've had to re-weld a cracked bracket and bend them back in to place a few times. One problem I've had is the kick starter hitting the nerfs when trying to kick it. I've actually worn a little bit into the nerfs by hitting it so many times. They don't leave a lot of room for riding boots when kicking...just something to get used to.
