  1. 20.704!! No joke....but that was about my 5th time. Damn, I'm phenomenal.
  2. Word. That's not a sellout in my book. I feel the same exact way. But I don't think I'll ever sell the 'shee. I'm just savin' the cash for a 450.
  3. That's pimp! Like NYUK said, I don't think I would like riding that the way it is on dirt...
  4. I bought my V-force 2 Reeds off of him. Not bad, it took him longer than he said it would. And he was slow answering my e-mails. Just my opinion, take it for what its worth, but I would wait to get some money saved for the shocks I want so I don't have to do it a second time. I guess if you don't plan on getting any extra money to throw at shocks, then go ahead and get 'em. EDIT: I would also eliminate the middle man and go straight through Elka. Just so none of the shock adjustments get messed up.
  5. ooooooo Shit! Nice! Try resizing them in Microsoft Paint. Use the "Sketch/Skew" option.
  6. The first thing you need to do before you make a decision is test ride all of them! I think the 700R and the YFZ450 are pretty close in a drag race. I've never seen the two race side by side, yet. This is only what i've read about them. The EFI would be nice on the Raptor if you think you don't want to hassle with jetting anymore. But comparing a Raptor and a 450 on the track is pointless. If you ride ANY MX, I would go test drive a YFZ first.
  7. Have they started producing the Outlaw, yet? I've seen pictures of what its suppose to look like, but I've never seen any true specifications. Like someone said already, my decisions would be between the three 450's. But 50 inches (LTR 450) would be a pain in the ASS for riding trails.
  8. Congrats on the kids, guys! It might be possible that when they are old enough to race, the new technology will be cleaner running 2 strokes!!
  9. I thought you sold it. The other day I picked up the Jan/Feb issue of Sand Sports magazine and saw the article of your bike in there. Pretty nice little write up. But for some reason they didn't mention you sold it . I thought to myself "Way to go out with a bang!" Congrats on the article....I personally thought it was worthy of making on the cover.
  10. It'd be a little more clear if you only listed the mods you have that actually pertain to MX. Here's what you have that would help you in racing: 1.)toomey airbox eliminator 2.)pro circuit pipe 3.)nerf bars 4.)tether swich To be honest with you, you've got a ways to go before you've got an MX Banshee. BUT, I never said you can't race what you've got. I'd like to know whats on your 250R before I list all of the $hit you should look into for MX. I would be willing to bet your 250R is gonna be a lot nicer for MX than your Banshee unless the R needs everything replaced. A stock 250R is gonna tear a stock Banshee apart in MX. And I would consider your Shee very close to stock. If you've got a pipe and some nice tires on the R, I would race the R. I would much rather put money in an R than a Banshee for racing MX. BTW, your motorwork doesn't mean $hit until you've got some suspension worthy of handling it.
  11. whoa whoa whoa....slow the horse and buggy down for a minute. How are we suppose to know what you can afford? The only way I would tell you NOT to get +2 arms is if you're riding very tight trails. You really need to use the search on here and find out what your price range is. My recommendation would be Quicksand a-arms w/ YFZ450 shocks rebuilt for what you need. That would be in the $700 range all said and done.
  12. If I were you, I would tear her apart and check everything out as long as you have time to do so. If not, as long as BOTH cylinders are both pushing a little over 95 psi, I wouldn't worry too much about it until after the trip. But like others have said, 'shee's not gonna run like shes suppose to. And it really doesn't take too long to replace the rings yourself. My 2 cents....
  13. I've never had a problem with my black rims chipping . I would say it depends on the color of the rest of your quad. But black usually looks good on anything. It would be a hellovalot easier to clean. Ellison, did I miss the thread with pics of your rebuilt 'shee?!? Or have you not finished, yet?
  14. You'll love his portwork for all around riding. The power hits a lot sooner and stays strong and smooth. Do a search on here for "gorr port" and you'll get an unbelievable amount of info about it. Like FIRST BANSHEE said, he's gonna be done taking anymore work in the US after the end of April. So if you want it, get it while you still can. I really can't see how you would be dissapointed with his work for all around riding. ------------->ERIC GORR'S FORWARD MOTION <-------------
  15. Damn...I'm glad I got mine when I did. tithead, I would definately look into what he could do to your motor. He's known for his work with dirtbike motors. And that's practically what you have in your YFZ.
  16. +2+1 A-arms, YFZ shocks, G-Force axle, steering stabilizer, and if ya have some extra cash get your stock rear shock rebiult.
  17. I haven't heard any complaints about the G-Force. I've got an LSR axcalibur, but I've had two buddies snap their Durablues and another bend one. The local term here for them are Durabreaks , but I've never had one personally.
  18. When you sell a 'shee you gotta start all over again.
  19. yeah, low and mid is usually desired in MX. The biggest problem is making smooth power, so it's all controllable and you don't have problems with traction. You might be better off with the dual 34mm's. They'll definately flow A LOT more than a single 35. You'd probably lose some HP but might make it a little smoother w/the single 35. What kind of port do you have? If you're really using those dual 34's to their potential and you want a 2 into 1, then you could look into getting a 2 into 1 w/a 40 mm Lectron carb. But you don't ever need a 2 into 1 intake for MX. I'm not too familiar w/ Power pro pipes or 2 into 1's. But I've heard quite a few people say 2 into 1's have a lot of bottom end. To keep some top end, another option would be PTR mids or possibly FMF fattys if you're on a tight budget. BTW, don't change your sprocket set up if you like how it feels. Going with a lower front sprocket will just get you shifting more. I would run as tall of a gear your motor can easily pull.
