  1. probably best to find someone local to do it.... Phonebook or dex online. Search powdercoat.
  2. (In my best Doc brown voice) 10.21 jigawatts?... 10.21 jigawatts?
  3. honestly, I dont think you'll be happy with them in the long run... I'd save a couple more bucks and get some t-5s.... Another great pipe for a moderatly built to stock banshee that doesnt get enough credit are FMFs. Easy to tune and good all around power and you can pick those up DIRT cheap.
  4. I'll agree with Loco... T-5s are probably the best all around pipe on the market and you usually can find a good deal on the on ebay if your willing to wait for the right deal to come up... I sold my t-5s on ebay for just over $300 on ebay and they were honestly in perfect conditon.
  5. Got to get of those tors for sure! You can mod your own timing plate for free with a dremel... Looking at what you got a would say (if your crank is welded) go for the carbs or v-force... both are good for a couple ponies... and send that flywheel and shift star to boonman while they are off.
  6. I call harbor freight tools "throw away tools" because after you use them once... they are probably worn out. Some tools are probably alright for certain things but I wouldnt trust this one to snug up my wheels nuts or flywheel... There's an old saying "you get what you pay for." A good alternative to that one is a Ryobi impact gun that isnt that much more that you can get at just about any Home Depot or Lowes.... I use mine out in the dunes when my compressor isnt convienent to lug around.
  7. mighty vac!
  8. 73hp...
  9. if you run v-force 3 then you will need to trim up the gasket a bit to make them fit perfect.
  10. Had my 421 cub done my Dan as well. Highly recommend him!
  11. looks like there is different tab locations for different ride heights... looks like junk to me. I'd steer clear if I were you. There's a reason why you dont see many a-arms like this. my 2 cents.
  12. the stock carb float bowls are very small and the floats tend to stick quite a bit.... just changing to larger carbs will help quite a bit. There is also are different kinds of petcocks such as "pingels" that increase flow from the tank to the carbs but they seem to have more problems than there worth.... worst case scenerio is to run a fuel pump but that's pretty extreme. If I were you I would look into 35pwks instead of the 34pjs... not that the pj's are a bad carb but the pwks (especially the 35s vs. the 33pwks) seem to be easier to tune overall. Have fun!
  13. Dont bore if you are looking for more power. The old rule of "there's no replacement for displacement" doesnt apply as much on banshee as on other types of motors. You are better off only boring what you need to and spend money on other mods if power is what you are after....
  14. I had the same problem when I put mine on... Here's kinda of backwoods trick that works pretty good if your too lazy to run up to the parts store to get a mityvac... Take off the rezzie lid and put a rubber glove over it. zip tie it to make a good seal. Next cut the half the finger off the glove and fill it up with compressed air(this will put pressure on the fluid to force it down the line as you pump the lever). Just bleed as usual and make sure to keep an eye out that the fluid doesnt suck any air. Its best to have a buddy help with the process, you'll need an extra hand . Worked for me... Good luck!
  15. I agree! Come on over!
  16. That sounds about right... Get yourself a clymer's book... It'll walk you through the process on how to change your jets... Basically it involves removing your carb, carb bowls, and replacing a little brass nut looking thing which is the "jet"and then putting it all back together, simple as that. Don't bother buying "kits" just buy what you need from any bike shop and yes jets are re-useable.
  17. Yeah have them thrown a boost bottle in for ya too... Trust me man... unless you are trying to clear the clutch linkage, they arent going to do a damn thing for you except lighten you wallet.
  18. .018... 3mm is about right.
  19. Me too... Ever been on sandlakeduners.com?
  20. I had a buddy that jetted in the morning about dead nuts on... Later that night we went for a ride and said "man this thing is runnin killer". Well, it was but it was because he was dead on in the morining and when the temp. dropped down that night he was waaaayyyy too lean and ended up cooking his motor... In short... yes, you do need to fatten up your jets during winter especially if you are dead on/lean to begin with... Hell, I re-jet in the morining and at night now if there is a big change in the weather while on the coast. I think the rule of thumb is something like 1 jet size per every 5 degrees of weather change or something to that effect. Dont chance it... It only take about 5 mins to rejet.
  21. should run about 85-87hp.... Dyno from A&S with stock carbs: http://www.bansheeracing.com/cubdynos.htm
  22. Here's the formula... bore x bore x stroke x .0007854 x 2 = displacment for a banshee
  23. IMO you should only run them to clear your clutch... Does not improve any type of performance in most cases but does increase your chance of an air leak...
  24. Readjusting the gap takes about 2 secs with a feeler guage... wouldnt hurt to check and re-adjust for piece of mind...
  25. I would recommend Dan from Patriot Racing or Cam from Redline... Both excellent people to work with.
