I'd start there... Sounds like you are sucking air somewhere. Make sure your intakes are tight. I would also check to make sure that your slides are on the correct sides and that they are "synced." Another one is to make sure your crossover tube is on tight.
Hope that helps!
Yeah... just ordered them raw and had a local chromer do the chroming. Way better results! The acorn nuts are something that Dan did as a little extra for me. Didnt even ask, he just did it (like the extra gasket kit, allen heads in the float bowls after he pre-jetted my carbs, extra bling in my paint for the cases, extra fuel lines, etc.). Like I said before in other posts, Dan just goes the extra mile for his customers.
Did you check your stator gap? Just went throught that one a few weeks ago... Should be at .018.
Other things...
Coil hooked up?
ignition on?
Key on?
Alll the connection throughout the bike connected and dry?
That's with shearer big bore inframes, 36 PWKs bored to a 38.6, +6 timing, 60/40 race/ pump fuel, cub cylinders with just a little clean up port...
here a pic or two...
I agree with Loco... I would choose someone else. Cascade's covers are nice but they think there stuff is gold. Try Mod quad or Razorback atv. There is also Freedom that used to work for cascade that now is on her own who does excellent work but I cant seem to find her link right now. I'll post it if I can find it... until then here is razor's link.

did it just stop running while dragging it? Was it running the best it ever ran just prior to when it made the sound? Notice any smell when you shut it down?
Those are just unbeatable.... How much time did you spend on those? I've been trying all day to beat them (dont tell my boss) and I cant even get close on some of them.
If you want to go cheap, have your head cut and mod your own timing plate. Forget the timing key... they have a habit of shaving off. Bore your stock carbs to a 28mm.
The V-force are a pretty expensive 2-3 horse but you will feel a difference. After that, I would have it ported and have your crank welded up or go to a stroker crank. Just remember if you port your 350 with 350 port timings and durations you wont be able to go to a stroker crank down the road with those cylinders. Lots of peeps just have a "clean up" port done with the idea of going to a stroker down the road.
