THey should have been stripped before being rechromed. And touched up buff wise in the area the chrome flaked at. This can also be a sign on a lean setting. When I got my original rockets I ran them puppies for months nothing, no blueing nothing. Than I put on the cubs and ran lean on the pilot, being in the tight trails thats where I ended up at times and sure as shit they started flaking down by the cylinder. Rocketboy you talking about the RDZ pipes. HaHa. You'd think he'd take the dyno off his website showing the EXACT same numbers torque and HP wise as Shears with the Exact same power lines. And isn't that picture the same ones Shearer shows. .

Yep, I loved that setup. as good as if not better in the trails than the cub is thanks to that compression. But I've got the cub up around 175-180 and its just a beast all around. Now if I could get some pipes on it other than this motofast 2 into 1 pipe haha.

Locktit solved that problem for me on a coolhead. Was running 110 with something like 220# of compression, what a beast that 404 setup was. Nothing was wrong just would happen on occasion.

I think I had TMJ for the past couple weeks, if its temporary anyway. Man I couldnt get my mouth open enough to eat a big cheeseburger, or salad made with bigger leaves. But its slowly gone away and is basically gone now. Plus an ingrown toenail on the big toe, man I have been falling apart this last month I'm telling you. -

Listen to RN the man knows what hes talking about. I've had 2 in a 4 year period, earplugs 8 hours/day 5days/week its bound to happen, Just when you think the pain cant get any worse it will than it'll get better. -

actually its every 10-20 hours. I definately dont rebuild more than that, hell I had well over a 100 hours on my last cylinders before the cubs. Packing is nothing more than fiberglass fire resistant..... House Insulation.

It can be done, theres a half dozen things to take into consideration. How big are you, muscle wise. Can you man handle your shee in the trails. Do you ride tight first-second gear only trails or wide open logging roads? Do you understand the concept of gearing and the very underrated piece of the puzzle it is. Can you jet well? Very important. Can you afford to run race fuel? you'll need a higher compression running cubs to keep the bottoms end. What kinda pipes, dynoport 2-1, fmf gnarly, rocket, shearer, new GRR? All equally important. With gearing being the number one overlooked aspect. 1 tooth can be the difference of wether its fun or a pain in the ass, believe me been there done that. -
I believe you can have it covered under your homeowners if you tell them about it, have it appraised and pay the difference. I know the ring sitting onmy fiancees finger is covered by homeowners, but is also insurable by itself. I had to pay extra, not even a noticable amount for it I think like $5/month extra or something. I believe in street justice, find out who did it, and take it into your own hands, just dont kill anyone and make sure your not identified. Can't wait till Nov 7th. Thats when the trial for my sisters murderer is, the day before my birthday which blows. I hope the fucker ends up in Westville, He'll be dead within a week, Guaranteed.

The best line I ever saw was on Ted Nugents reality show if anyone remebers that from about a year or so ago. This Vegan PETA loving girl is going on about how she cant believe they hunt animals, and that they are destroying the animals habitat. Nugents wife looks at her and Goes do you live in a house/apartment? Yes. How many animals lost thier home and/or were killed during the razing of the land to build that. The girl was stunned. I think that was officially the first time i toasted the TV with a beer.

I run the rocket pipe company. I had a shitload of problems both personal and supply related come up. Anyway the chromer called said theyd be done tomorrow and my fiancee will have them picked up so expect them to arrive Friday/Saturday. Also from what I have been told they will clear the powervalves on a trex. I run a cheetah cub and the clear perfectly fine with mine.

My opinion take it for what its worth. Keep the gearing stock. If you go up to a 15t front drop the rear tires to 18" tires. If you drop to a 13t front up the tires to 22" tires. Shorten the swinger two inches. widen the shee +1+1 or +2+1 depending on the tightness of the trails width wise. I extended my axle +2 also, but thats going to depend on the width of the trails again. I ride some tight ass trails but have enough room width wise to squeeze through. Get new shocks, I recommend Elka only because thats all i have ridden. Find a package deal on the arms+shocks and get the shocks made for trail riding and his weight. Up the compression in the cylinders to at least 150. preferrably 180ish if he can afford to run race fuel. The added bottom end at 180-190 is immensly noticable. Porrting you want something like a Gorr port or a trinity MX port or whatever the Passion equiv. is. Something for the lower powerband. I recommend a 2 into 1 pipe and 2 into 1 carb if he is only going to trail ride it. Tell the porting person that you are going to b e running a 2 into 1 or whatever pipe you choose so the port specs can be matched. But all this advise comes from a guy that runs a 68mm bore cheetah cub running rocket pipes and a 2 into 1 35mm carb in tight trails hanging with the lovely 700vforces and 450s. But what do I know about trail riding. *Edit* Oh and if any of you are in NW Indiana on a Sunday hit me up we'll go bust out some trails if I"m not doing some family event or building pipes. -

Yes just make sure and get the 35mm. Trinity claims it will work on thier ported 420cc, I had the 420cc mx ported cylinders from trinity at one time with the 2 into 1 35mm and it hauled some ass. -

Man, every single dyno will show T-5 under the rockets the more you mod the more they run away. The Rockets will more than shine with porting, but you really need to have the cylinders ported to match the pipes you buy. Port for the rockets and that 450 wont stand a chance. The fact that you stick with 450's with just a pipe and reed says wonders about the possibility of the pipe with more modding.

If your on an lean routine, you need cardio and high reps with the wieghts. Dont go 10lbs under your max, thats to build, wheras you need to lose fat and turn it into lean muscle. Whey Protein is good for your body helps with the muscles. I just picked up a 2 month supply at GNC for like $30. Gotta love the gold cards. buy a blender, vanilla is good but blended wit some strawberries etc makes it excellent. NOx2, about a 50/50 split people either love it or hate it, seeing more and more of the hate it lately though. I would recommend a setup called the Blitz Cycle, its got the creatine already in it plus a buncha other shit. Works great for me expensive at $70/bottle of 200 pills. Get a GNC gold card, it'll save you an assload. Oh only get the blitz cycle when you move into adding muscle mass, not until after a cardio routine. *edit* Just checked and the blitz cycle contains NO2, creatine and some other thing. I'm 6'2" 200 and am about .6 BMI over into the overweight realm. at 280 you gotta be at the high end or possibly the low end of Obese. I'd do a 6-8week plan of cardio, lots and lots of cardio. I'm talking 2 miles a day at least. Wind sprints, suicide runs, all the fun shit the basketball and soccer guys just love. Yeah yeah us soccer guys are nuts. Soccer the real Football BIATCH!

Nickle doesn't cost as much as chroming, actually I think half as much give/take. Chromeing a set will depend on what kinda job your looking for. Prior to getting them chromed its a good idea to buff the hell outta them into a nice shine. Your looking at anywhere from $100-150/set unless you know them or bring in a quantity than you can get the price down to $50 or so. Or as we did found abuff and chrome shop that work together and get the sets buffed and chromed for $100/set. Someone might be able to chime in better on the Nickel plating.

Platers will rechrome them for you. Most anyway. They'll get an acidic bath to clean them before they go into the other tanks.
