Lurk on occasion. Got two kids, between them and work they take up much of my time. Should be taking up a supervisory role by years end if not sooner. blk02banshee I may have an opening in my old spot Depending on whether your layoff is temp or long-term.
-
Indeed. Nah back on page 2 right after your post about them not being trail friendly, I put in I beg to differ and it disappeared the next day. We were supposed to do some work for Hallmark over in KC and than some other small place do a few rolls in a town right by st joe, I can't remember the name off the top of my head. But now they are basing a crew outta Nashville to cover the southern areas below IL and out to OK and TX.
-
Oh now, has the site come to that? I was just poking fun loco, I wasn't going to jump into this and argue. Coulda left the one line response. Almost worked out in st. joe a couple weeks ago, made me think of you and the site so I popped in.

Funny I beg to differ!

RocketPipes BB COmplaints
Fireman-hott replied to Fireman-hott's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Nah sorry Dinner I dont. Of course NYUK did you think it'd ever die? Keep trail riding those CUBS!! Hobart up in NWI. Eh what are you gonna do trex, correct it and move on I suppose. Yes, yes they were They are a good pipe, I had some problems with reliability of my welders(who didn't even weld the fvcking silencers!!) That guy actually just got outta prison about a month ago. But now there are far worse problems. Oh well. I've just been relaxing, working on a few online ventures about to do some product launches (no not MLM Scam BS ) Other than that the kids are keeping me busy, the youngest just had his first birthday this week, party was yesterday, talk about hectic. 100+ people for a year olds party sheesh. Had blue icing on his cake, looked like a smurf when he got done and WIRED boy was he wired on that sugar. ANyway take it easy fellas, I'll check in here and there. Either going to do a shee with a crotch rocket motor, buy a snowmobile and make it stupidly fast, or a jet ski stupidly fast. With a lake in every direction within 10 minutes I"m leaning to the jetski, but hell they freeze which would suit a snowmobile perfect too, hell I dont know. -
Hey Guys, Haven't been here in awhile. Bee getting some complaints about Rocket Pipes from the BBB. I dont and haven't Owned RP since late 04 early 05. Whomever is directing them to me is mistaken. I would appreciate making sure it is directed poperly to the owners in Texas. NOT Indiana. Thank You, Chris I may start visiting more often, I've been contimplating a summer/fall build of a shee with a crotch rocket motor, but we'll see. Two little ones are slwly halting that A.T.M. Hell I can't even skydive without catching major flak. Miss the site, whatever happened to the roudy Brooke, and the other non-conformers?

Seriously - Anyone here need a frame?
Fireman-hott replied to Minkia38's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Geez Ray, I knew you were parting a lot of shees but thats crazy. If you still have them come Winter I may hit you up for one. Been debating a crotch rocket motor build. Got $5k in the build fund, just not sure yet if I"m gonna build one or buy a tricked out drag shee instead. -
anyone got an online code for xbox 360 live?
Fireman-hott replied to rdepiano12's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Dont have any month-long subscriptions. They stopped doing that now they give you 48hour ones. I have 3-4 just drop me a PM I'll grab the Numbers for you. -
Load up a bittorrent client and grab the office 2007 enterprise edition. no crack needed
-
If you can handle connecting to an ftp and downloading I'll hook you up with vista. Plus 2007 office And the crack for vista.
-
NM my man I figured it out. Had to change the windows to aindows aero from windows vista basic. Its in that area where you change the colors of your box colors and appearance. Looks saweeet now.
-
I'd go with vista if they are giving it to you. I haven't had a problem yet, much smoother, my downloads are actually moving as fast as they should (600k/sec was about the quickest before now I've shot past 4mb/sec multiple times on an 8mb connection). ANy program that wouldn't run I just reinstalled under vista and it fixed it. Ice: looks like I need to get that 512mb chip back in its holding my score thingy down to under 3 everything else is 4.5+. Apparently you cant force it on which is shit considering I know its not using more power than quake 4 or doom 3 in ultra high detail.
-
Nope, not flipping them sideways for me. Maybe I need to get a new ram chip and bring me back up to a full gig. That just allows the quick switching basically like the toolbar on the bottom does anyway.
-
I'm running ultimate myself, any idea how you got the windwos to go sideways? I have a 512mb radeon x1600 card so I'm sure I have the video power. Had a gig of ram but just burnt up one of the chips by not fully pushing it in on a mobo/cpu swap. Oh and yeah its already been cracked.

Snapped bolt in clutch boss
Fireman-hott replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
No sorry. Give ebay a shot. -
Depends on the trails you are gonna ride. Super tight 2-3rd gear tops or are you gonna get to open it up to 5th-6th?

Snapped bolt in clutch boss
Fireman-hott replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If you are good at heli coiling, I've seen people fuck that up hardcore, try that first. Keep an eye on your clutch when you are riding, does it rev high but not put the power to the ground etc. The basic stuff you should notice anyway when riding. Worst case scenario you gotta replace the clutch fibers and rings, and have to replace the boss. I'd almost dare say figure out the standard size its a bit smaller than and tap it to that larger size in standard. If I remember right metric and standard are damn near half sizes of each other when it gets down to it. -
Well at least I'm not the only one that can pull it off. Tweak some things and you wont have to guess what it is gonna do out there. Nice to see at least someone doesn't keep up rehtoric that doesn't have to do with the topic at hand. I was thinking wouldn't the motor is a Rally car be something thats pushing crazy HP compared with what its actually gonna use? Kind of like the cub in the trails. Take the power and manipulate it to do what you want it to do and not what it wants to do. The advantage I see and why I would recommend it to an average rider is at some point they will want more power. Now they could buy a used cub top end on the higher side of some good ported cylinders and already have the power they will want years or months later. Than get the pipes, get some domes cut specifically for low end(Nate McCoy made an excellent set for me), 2 into 1 pipe (and you thought I was crazy before) dual 33's to feed the beast, and you might just be surprised. You definately will not get the 80-90hp most cubs get, but it will be widely more adaptable to any riding situation than one running all top end modifications. Which I would have a set of top end only pipes and maybe even some domes with a lower (165-175) compression to swap out when you are heading to the dunes. Keep closer to 190-200psi domes for the trails to grab the extra low end. GOTTA RUN STRAIGHT RACE GAS 104+. WHen you are riding see what shee is doing, are you spinning a shitload? Up from front sprocket a tooth. Too much and killing your bottom end, drop down a tooth and add 2 teeth in the rear. Tire sizes make a huge difference too. every 2" is roughly equal to going up one tooth on your front sprocket. Keep that in mind if you buy 20"s and cant figure out why its bogging unlike when you had 18"s on it. Know what type of tread hooks up the best in the terrain you are running. For me Razr 1's hooked easily twice as good as the holeshot mx's Dont ask me why they just did. If all you ride are tight trails dont go over on your swingarm it will kill some of your manuevarability(sp?). If you are strong and not just think you are, and can handle the clutch properly, the throttle properly, feel the bike and make adjustments in a flash I would dare say go -2. Thats just me and what I did and could handle. That even I will admit is crazy and off the wall. but I could handle it and for the trails I was the only shee that could go in certain areas because of the turning radius I could pull. Oh and how much better it was in the air is mind blowing. but that is beside the point. Do what you think you can handle, and what your pocketbook can handle. Yeas I spent ten of thousands. It wasn't into one motor or suspension etc. I could have built 3 or 4 shees with all the shit I had bought. But eventually I found what I wanted and could have saved thousands if someone had told me I could have the power and have fun with it too. Chris

FIne whatever yep your right I dont know shit. I went through 5 top ends trying to find the setup that worked for me. I have NEVER blown a top end. You know nothing of my business practices, nor MY welding ability as its obvious you didn't pay a lick of attention as to what ACTUALLY went down not what was rumored and twisted and manifested. Enough with the personal attacks, its lame and a weak way to attempt to win an arguement. Go back and read his question. Can they be setup for trails. You guys say no, I say yes they can. Doesn't matter wether you agree with the application they will be used for.
-
Daj is right on the compression. You dont wanna get too high or you'll rob your top end RPM level. Too low and you'll rob your bottom end hardcore.
-
Yeah sure thats what I said cower in my shadow. Keep the personal attacks up you guys are surely helping the guy. Anyone remember who was decking the cubs for more bottom end for racing? Yeah that major builder doesn't frequent the forums anymore after he was personally attacked because most people called him an idiot for doing that. You are paying absolutely no attention to any of the details, so it goes to show why you think I'm a fucking tool. I put tens of thousands in my shee when I had it. I had the full spectrum of motors running on it, every pipes from the bottom to the top (except trinity,dg,PT), carb setups from stock to 2into1, to dual 28s to dual 33s to dual 35s. I had suspension setups from works and elka, LSR arms, a durablue axle both standard and extended, swingarms from +2 to stock to -2, lockup clutchs, the race bike clutch plates(can't remember offhand what bike), stock, stock clutch prings, stiff springs, half and half, shift kits, shortened shifters, noss heads, trinity head, PD heads, all around basic cut domes, custom cut domes from Nate McCoy, presure ranging from 150psi to 220psi/cylinder. and 5 seperate top ends. I know what it is capable of if you have the patients and time to get it to where you want it. There are so many things you can do to change the hit of the powerband from the top to the bottom, EVEN ON A CUB, smooth out a powerband, gear it to spin the tires when it hits so you dont get thrown into a tree, etc etc. Just because 99% of people buy the cub to go in a straightline doesn't mean it can't be changed to go whereever you want it to go. The cub was designed to upgrade the ports to a more advanced design, something the banshee never saw from the factory, and still use stock parts. Not to go just in a straightline, thats what the Cheetah was for. Hence Cheetah Cub. THey called it a cub for a reason. Call me a tool, say I'm an idiot whatever. This guy isn't asking for personal attacks. I've been in his shoes, i've quelched naysayers IN THE TRAILS, I have been there, done it, and proven it. The least you can do is give me the benefit of the doubt that maybe,JUST MAYBE it can be done and done right. Remember just because he gets a cub and trail rides it DOESN'T mean he cannot change anything at all and the motor is worthless. Eventually no matter how much you or anyone wants to deny it, eventually he's gonna want more power to drag somebody. If he already has that power, hidden behind some mods, he can bring it out in less than 30minutes. I've helped prove my point, so why dont you 06, explain to me exactly how a banshee can't handle the trails in the summer that the snowmobilers in the winter are out racing on with twice the speed and power. Theres a discrepancy in the fact that he can't handle his cub in trails that machines going twice as fast with two, three, and four times the power are managing regularly. This is not what I wanted guys. I came to offer advice outside the box. Believe me I've been through the ringer over this numerous times from both fellow shee owners and 450, 450r, vforce700 all kinds of guys than after a ride they had a change of thought. It can be done and can be done properly and safely. You also need a life insurance policy regardless of wether your riding a 40hp stock shee or a 110hp ASR bike. THats just common sense.
-
Thats exactly what your saying, YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT! Just because you and better than 90% of people that ride a shee can't handle the power a cub puts out doesn't mean Myself or anyone else can't. 90% of the people on this board have never even ridden a cub, but I bet most have rode a shee with lower 70's for HP in the trails and loved it. 10hp isn't going to make that much of a difference, and any difference can be overcome with gear swapping and tire size increases. The drag chassis isn't ment to be rode other than straight so no it wouldn't. and +6 on a good cub motor is a must? Yeah in the sand when your running paddles, or when your riding on asphalt its nice to have. But if you can feather a clutch, work the revs and launch in 2nd properly you can run a -2. Most trails people are gonna ride aren't gonna be snowmobile trails, where guys with triple cylinder 2 strokes are racing down them a 100mph+ but you can't handle the trail at 60 or 70mph. Get the fuck outta here. Ooo the boogeyman is coming to get me with the pipe welding oh no. Funny that I know of 1 person that has a set I welded and thinks Tom did them because they are so good. One of the same people that talk shit like you, funny how that goes. If I mentioned his name the next breath outta his mouth would be how shitty they were, totally contradicting himself. SO blow me. Just goes to show how well you know the motors, suspension, gearing, carbs, etc. that you have to bring up old bullshit like it lends any sort of credence to your arguement. Weak
