turn off the gas, let it burn off all thats in your carbs. drain your gas tank of the excess premix. you can buy plugs for the silencers, but honestly first time you kick it over them spiders will leave real quick. pour about a teaspoon worth of 2-stroke premix oil in the cylinders. make sure you have antifreeze in the system and not straight water. wd-40 or chain wax to protect the chain and sporkets. throttle cable/clutch cable throw some powder in there make sure they stay nice and smooth. Other than that I"m outta ideas. I dont store mine for the winter or anything I ride year round, but those are the basics off the top of my head.

Yes the stock pipe hangers hookup to the mounting tab on the main exhaust. The hangers are black and havea piece of rubber mounted between two metal parts. check your stock pipes for them if you still have them laying around.

Get that jetting in check and run some bigger carbs. Rockets flow like a motherfucker more than any other pipe I do believe. They were designed around a 39-40mm dual carb setup also hence the massive amounts of air they push. You get that jetting dialed in you will notice a big difference especially with how little bog there is, and just wait till you port the jugs holy shit you'll piss yourself guaranteed.

I live over in New Chicago. what trails are you hitting that you want a 24" tire. if your running stock gearing sprocket wise a 17 tooth with your 18" tires would be the same as running a 14 tooth with 24" tires and wouldn't look funky as hell. Takes a bit of motor ummmpphh to pull a 17tooth gear though.

overflow from your carbs means your float got stuck, tap it a few times usually unsticks it. Popping and backfiring could be lean. Try pulling your choke out and go into the high rpms see if it stops and reacts better. If so you are lean and need to up that puppy. Pilots/mains. As I think the choke adds fuel to the pilot.

And on a stock stroke 68mm bore ported cub with rockets and all mymods I'm sure I'm putting down more Horses and Torque than stock cylinders could ever match on Gas. Go with cubs, if you can afford a 4 mill crank thats the way to go, if not at least get a port on the cubs opens up even more power outta them. get some domes made for your riding, mine are cut for more midrange. Which may explain why I do so damned well in the trails with topend pipes. I recommend Nate McCoy for cubs. Guy knows his shit period. Will talk your ear off, I haven't had a phone coversation that lasted less than 45min with the guy in 4 convos I have had. He'll get what you want and how you want it.

That running a motofast 2 into 1 pipe on a cub was fun as hell in the trails. I live in New Chicago, IN kinda squashed between Lake Station and Hobart. We'll have to hookup next time we go riding in Demotte off I-65 and Rt 10.

Dont know how close breakin is to a vehicle engine but from what I have deduced it comes down to this. Go slow take your time give it ample amounts of easy riding and the engine will be reliable for a couple more hours granting proper maint. Slam the throttle and ride the fuck outta iot from day one and it'll need rebuilt a couple hours ride time sooner but will cause a better seat with the rings and wear and will actually add a couple hp on top. Now thats with a vehicle and has been proven time and again, how much that converts over to atv cylinders is anyones guess. But if it means anything I dogged the shit outta my 03 when I got it and piped/jetted and couldnt blow that fucker for nothing. My buddies blaster which he went ther slow route blew after a good time but its air cooled not liquid like the shee.
