Sputters when cold Runs great when warm?
Fireman-hott replied to Jdawg82's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
try and richen the needle some by moving the clip. I forget off hand which way does which. I think down richens and up leans but dont take that as the holy word. -
e-mails on the way.
-
Maybe a re-ring every 30 hours, but I'dgo with after your riding season. If you dont ride year round than sometime during the offseason it would be a good idea to break it down and put new rings on the pistons.

Open drags the 19th of August in Morocco at the US41 drag strip, Bring anything and everything. $25 to race from 6pm-3am. $10 to spectateper person. Bring your own alcohol but no bottles are allowed. Need directions just ask east to get to, south on 41 from most major highways. 30 and 80/94 and the toll road. Last one was great, someone got some video of this Nova doing a wheelie on a 125 shot of nos off the line. Broke 2 tie rods when she came down. Quick ass snowmobiles too. Boy were they hauling ass down the strip.

Give me a few days to get some pics together. It would be wise totakethe inventory also as you'll need to buy the parts otherwise which will lead to some delays. Plus you'll make back a good portion of the cost of the business on the sets/inventory seeing as how you wont haveto buy anything but the buff/chrome job.
-
I gotta remember to get a call to you T-rex. I have the main pipes for you, still waiting on the silencers.
-
You usually buy an aftermarket head and smaller domes for higher compression, I dont even know if they make high compression pistons. But I would go with WSM pistons. My personal prefernce. What I ran in my 404 sleeved motor, 420 trinity sleeved/ported motor and now in my cub motor.
-
overpriced may be an understatement.
-
Plain and simple you wanta motor or a cub that will haul hardfuckingass talk to him. spent a good 40minutes on the phone with him BSin about my cub in the trails and things that should help it. Even said rockets just keep getting better with larger 36,38mm carbs.
-
yeah hell no ones even in chat. what a loss.
-
I can probably get you a set of bare black rocketsfor $400 + shipping. Used obviously, but very lightly maybe an hour if that. I have the sport port templates and could do it for you for free if you bought the black rockets for $500+shipping. Which is hell I think $15 if that.
-
Still didn't get all the mods. Either way, you'll want to bump your compression up. If you can run race fuel get up to the 180psi range if not get as close to 160 asyou can. Get a simple woods port, even a sport port will work if you are a DIY kinda guy. The sprockets on your shift side, tight low gear trails aim for a 14(stock)tooth front with an 18" tire. If you run open logging type trails aim for a 15 tooth sprocket and a 20" tire. I recommend the 2 into 1 carb setup from trinity or graydon. 33mm wil be fine, 35mm if you ever wanna goto a 400cc+ big bore engine. Rockets or T-5s will work with the nod tword rockets. Bias obviously as I own the rocket business right now. Reeds I'd go with vforce 2 if you can afford them. And either the shift-pro kit or pm boonman about the shift star mod, either will make shifting much smoother. That should get you some serious trail and hill performance.

Man I feel for the guys helping him. Been there a few times in my young age and its not easy. its no wonder after 10 years most people in the medic profession want out or are just non-emotional. He's damn and I emphasize damn lucky he'snot dead with a torn artery. Fellow firemans son tipped a 4x4 in thier front yard not dingmore than 5mph, shifter to the thigh popped his artery, guarentee if he wasn't a fireman/medic his son would be dead right now. Man I can say from experience that family needs all the help they can get, and not financially if he had insurance as most kick major medical in around $5k in costs. OK before I get way off-topic here I've only seen most all types of injuries/death and from experience family being there man They are gonna be torn up if you know their e-mail throw it to get all the support and to hear from so many people will help. Helped when I lost my sister, and I had well over the 200 peoplemark offering everything and everything. Just the people letting me talk and not thinking less of me as a man for balling really brought out the real friends. The guy I worked from cali didn't know why I was tearing up when he nevermind I'm gonna derail this if I type anymore. See if you can get thier e-mail the outpouring of support will help, any idea if they flew him to the U of Chi? or somewhere in MI.

Hitup Ray. I refunded someone so if you see him tell him he owes me some money. Maybe whoever takes over can work out something for you. Yeah Stephen dont know if you would have wanted to get into it. Oh Loco not to beat that dead horse but I caught the last comment to jeepman. I too am 22 and have just as much as you other than the rental. All from hardwork. Had I found out me and the guy I had working with me that we flew in from Cali were gona goto st louis I'd have hit you guys up, but we ended up doing Chitown and something like 700k pounds and 14 jobs over 4 1/2 days so I could get him to O`Hare for his flight back. Eventually I'll be there and we're gonna hit those clubs I hear are the best in St Louis.

Everything but tires, as stated above plastics can also be chromed.
-
Yep I'd jet for the pipe like stock pipes, maybe put the 240 in it. All you guys from around chitown need to head down next month to the US41 Drag in Indiana. Be nice to see some shees out there to race against. $25 race from 6pm-3am. $10 to watch. Open drags basically bring whatever the hell you want. Watched a frigging VW van on Nos take a camero on Nos, boy talk about the shock of a lifetime there. And a guy drop not only his drivetrain, but his tranny followed by his motor on the track. And another guy trwist the axle off his mustang at the start, his wheel rolled by him that was entertaining. Literally corkscrewed it off.

Quick fix for leaky head stud
Fireman-hott replied to FadedDreams's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Rubber coated washers. Tis the way I'd go. or even a very thin oring. -
what other mods, do you know how to change gearing and tire sizes? Or do you have access to different sized tires. I can get you to where you'll kickass in the trails but theres some requirements on the motor that need to be met. Wether your running rockets or Toomeys, plus gotta know if you want or intend to get into dragging, long hillclimbs etc. Basically what are your intentions, what are you expecting, and do you know how to work on your shee at all.

From a mortgage expert himself. If anyones thinking of it Holyman may be able to help you or steer you in the right direction. Wheres Beach Park by? I will be around chicago, northern illinois and wisconsin stones throw from Green Bay next week, almost guarantee it.

While you got the clutch all apart, might I recommend one of those shift-pro kits. Great improvement on shifting, HIGHLY recommend it if you do trail riding.
-
Its still for sale thankfully someone stepped in and ended that pissing match. Cutoff date for the move is looming closer still. If you would like to take it and try I'm gonna need at LEAST half of the $50k. We can work on the rest. preferably closer to $30-35k.I can easily afford the parts loan for now as profitfrom you selling just one pipe a month would cover that cost to me. If you need help with anything I"m here, if you get a portfolio together for a bank feel free to add me in there. Feel free to ask for any extra info they may want, figures percentages things of that nature. Chris

Dont matter what pipes you run, minus outta frames, it willall come down to your gearing and tire combination. 13/41 may not be as shiftingofa frenzy as you think hell he may be running a 22" tire, doubtful but that would put him equal to 15/41 gearing with 18" tires which I run in tight trails ona drag motor(cub) and rockets and absolutely love it. I put 20" tires on with the 15/41 gearing and it blew dick, very big difference in response. Gearing quite possibly the most overlooked aspect of racing period.

Dish network v/s Direct TV v/s Cable
Fireman-hott replied to RNBRAD's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Man RNBrad I read the company I was looking at switching to got bought out. Voom was way ahead of its time, had just an assload of HD channels. Not enough customers apparently sucks too I was gonna get it. I'd keep an eye on whichever company bought them out. THats who I'd have my money on. -
Yeah this probably came over the RP thread. Yep Loco was wrong in what he said and was misinformed obviously on many aspects of the behind the scenes of RP and who really does the problem fixing/solving. But in his defense he wasn't the only one and I got heated too I'll admit it. I've been workingmy ass off everyday to make money to feed my family, yet still be there to fix problems that rose up out of the silencer debacle. Which I'm still trying to cleanup for the few of you still waiting. And get sets together. Those that remember the pic of the pipes int eh image section, THAT DAY those wre picked up and THAT DAY 4 more sets were dropped off. Buff shop JUST got done with them or so they told me after motherfucking some guy Wednesday. Merely using this as an example but right now I'd be getting a call forom 2-3 people wondering why they dont have pipes yet because Ray said they'd be picked up over a month ago(rzcolo was oneguy). Than me after pulling a 10-14 hour day depending on the numberof jobs and how fucked up the rolls/coils are, I come on here to someone bashingthe fuck out of me about being ashitty guy but Rays the greatest. This in a thread of me trying to sell the business so I can further myself majorly in the company. The mods let it go, and I PAY for sponsorship and ads on here. Its still for sale also, andanyone that thinksthey can do it and can get more than half the cash upfront I'd be happy to work with. Gonna be hard getting a loan for a new house with the loan on my record, hell if at least half or preferrably all is taken care of I wont have a problem, gonna have to try and sell mine in asap also. Now back to the original rant. Its not rzcolos fault, I would have helped and explained to him as much as I could what was going on(ask QUinlan every step.), but instead of coming to me he took Rays words at face value. Now you cant really knock Ray as he may have been confused also. I picked up 6 sets, had 5 sold through Ray, had I known there was also another guy wanting a set I wouldn't have sold it to a local guy. Loco was misinformed here also as he thought Ray sold the majority of the pipes. He sells a steady amount no doubt there, but I've already got just under double that amount ready for a set when I catchup. From nothing more than word of mouth and a few guys at the local dealership that tried and wanted some right there. Than the umteen dozen people I've met out riding that took the quad out for a spin even 450 guys were impressed to no end. I voted for Loco to stay a mod, we've had our disagreements cubs/trails anyone? I just offer that if your gonna bash a sponsor hell even if I wasn't that its be good to have both sides of the story before you take one side as the almighty word without any idea of the other. Wish I had a set on mine right now, open drags tonight. I'll be there if anyone around chicago, NW indiana wants to meet up there, US 41 dragstrip 6pm-3am. Take US 41 into roselawn area its on the east side of the road about 30miles give/take south of US 30. Bring your own beer NO BOTTLES $10 to watch $25 to race ANYTHING. Call me if your gonna go , call before 6pm as I have no cell reception down there. 219-588-2755
