  1. so should i loosen it up a bit, i dont do a whole lotta huge jumpin, but do ride in the whoops alot! I was just worring about the output shaft on the tranny that the front sprocket rides on, i dont want to tear that bearing or anything else up!
  2. Well i was going to get gas i had my buddy tighten my chain a bit, its a brand new set of o ring chain and sprockets. Well i got to the riding site and noticed that the chain was very tight and when i sat on it, it was impossible to wiggle it with your hand. Well it was hawling a little bit, but everything seemed fine besides the nosie and the back end being a little stiffer. Do you think it could of hurt anything in the tranny such as bearings and such, or would the chain just stretch faster. Also how tight do most of you tighten your chains!
  3. just ride the damn thing, i know your worried because its a new motor, trust me ive been there. But just go have fun on it!!!!!!!!!

  11. That sounds like a blast, me and my neighbor both have banshees, and live in cedar springs! I would love to come but i have plans for this weekend, if you guys wanna set something up for a later time that would be awesome. Also what kind of mods to most the quads have. Ours are more on the stock side! But getting pipes within the next couple months!
  12. I used to run castor 927 and loved it, smelt great. But then i switched to yamalube because you get twice as much for the same price, and it seems to work just as good!
  13. I have a ricky stator and adjustable timing plate, ive trade advancing it 2 and 4 degrees, and didnt notice much of a increase. It just felt wrong. Is this something you notice more with aftermarket pipes, or am i the exception!
  14. Deffinetly nice looking banshee and looks like theres some money spent on it! I dont think it is no 100 horse or anywhere close to that but still a very nice bike, and whould deffinelty kick mines ass!
  15. when adding a longer stroke you gain more torque which is excellent for tight trails, and woods!
  16. ive got knarlys out back and klaws up front and love them. My buddy has holeshot gncc's and we both got them at the same time, and i hook just as good as he does, its about even!
  17. ya something is deffinetly up , i can wax a 400 with stock pipes, and be right there with a 450
  18. Cedar Springs 20 mins north of grand rapids! Attend ferris state in big rapids during school year , ride around baldwin, little o,big o, tin cup
  19. is there much of a difference between the shearers and cpis or are they both pretty good? inframes im talking about!
  20. straightedge and feeler gauges, i dont know the exact tolerances but that is how you check it to see if its warped. Thats what it sounds like. Check the head and the deck of each cylinder!
  21. ya sorry about the confusion. When it is all assembled and put together there is a little bit of oil that you can wipe of with your finger on the bottom of the cages. I know i need to change the gasket, but i just wanted to make sure that there is even suppose to be that much oil in the reed area. And yes i know the premix flows through the reeds, but im just a little curios as to what everyone else thinks.
  22. thats exactly what i was wondering! But it must not be a big air leak if there is one and plugs are both tan
  23. i just put brand new boysean power reeds in it so i know those are not bad, also i sparyed brake cleaner around the reed while it was running and it never bogged down once.
  24. 32 to 1 yamalube, i was using castor. But is it normal for there to be some under the reeds, when it is assembled and in the bike. What part could be leaking?
  25. My left cylinder reed cage has what smells to be premix coming out of it, i was just wondering if this was normal or if it was a big deal. I know it is most likely a reed gage gasket leak, but i was wondering if there is suppose to be a lot of premix getting onto the reeds. Its not like dripping out and spatting on everything. But there is enough that after awhile of riding i can take my finger and wipe it onto it, and its a good amount. I have stock reed cages with boysean power reeds. My tranny fluid is full and clean and i dont seem to use a drop.
