will it still be possible to trail ride with these pipes, my buddy has cpis and they seem to work well on the trails to, but we race alot and i cant have him beating me lol.

its not that i need an airbox, just kinda low on cash, and like the airbox setup. Im running a proflow with the lid off. My buddy has cpis and his airbox fit so thats kinda what i was hoping. Also what size should i go with for filters, any links, or recommendations?

Usually there pretty universal, i dont know about this specific case. But usually theres a set of countersunk bolt holes, and a set of just holes, you need to just use the holes and not the countersunk ones. Correct me if im wrong but on those ones you cant put it on backwords.

Whys that? Whats wrong with the stocker? Its saved my ass end a couple of times, had to pry it out from the rotor once because i got a rock! If your dune riding maybe i could see getting rid of it, but id rather have one on, theres no reason not to run it besides maybe a little bit of weight savings. Im sure others will chime in, maybe im wrong and there is a good reason to get rid of it, i just dont see it. As far as other skidders to try i dont know the stock one seems to do the trick.

How much for reeds?

The stock air filter setup is crap, your going to want to get a pro flow adapter plate for the stock airbox, go ahead and remove the stock snorkel while your at it. The air filter that comes with the pro flow will have the "cage or whatever you call it" inside it. But the stock setup is crap, and if you dont ride in major mud you can take the lid off also and rejet your carb!

Those look like old school fmf silencers, i know the pipes are not fmf's but those silencers do look like fmfs!

any local machine shop should be able to do this for you, it depends on what kind of fuel you wanna run, also you will have to rechamber the heads once you start taking excessive amounts off.

This must be a pretty common problem because i know of a few shees that do this, its no big deal i usually just have to hold the choke out for a little bit and then i can take care of it running with the throttle(slight pressure).

sweet how much did they set ya back? Were they small bore inframes? Are they pretty loud, and did they fit good?

I did call sandtoyz and they said it was not show chrome but still did look damn nice, i could really care less if its chrome or not, but they said going bare would only save me like 20 bucks. I just dont want the chrome peeling or getting really rusty thats all. When i called sandtoyz i dont know who i talked to but the guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about, it would be freackin amazing if i could get the pipes cheaper than 525, because im a broke college student right now and just had my crank welded and bike ported by passion and an 1hour into riding it the nose of the crank broke off on the stator side and trashed my stator, might also need a new flywheel.

Could it posssibly hurt the engine to not rejet? Every 15 degrees seems like alot of work, here in michigan it can be 90 one day and then 60 the next

Where does everybody buy there shearers and how much do they normally run? Sounds like not many of you have gotten them from sandtoyz?

Just looking around for some small bore shearers and it looks like the best price is from sandtoyz unlimited. Just wondering how the chrome is, talked to the guy on the phone and he said its the closest thing to show chrome, and that it doesnt flake or peel. Just wondering if anyone has purchased from them before and if they were satisfied with there chrome. I think a chrome set from them is like 535 bucks.
