Still need some help on this one
-
Ok to make a long story short the girlfreind bought a banshee. It has keihen pwk's on it, it looks like it had pods on it but didnt come with the filters. Where is the best place to get some k&ns with outerwears and what ones do i need. Also quad has aftermarket a arms and works shocks, i think it needs ball joints, they are the screw on tie rod end type, where do i get these? Also has a set of paul turner midrange pipes that need clamps, need some ideas on where to get these also. Thanks Alot Cody

I know you can turn the caps lock off when your at work LOL.
-
ya I pretty much figured that.I just wanted to bring that to everyone attention also.

it's made for a driver to wear in his pant leg. At least on a car u don't get much of a hit and the bottle last a couple of seconds at most. Its targeted at dirt track racers. I belive you would want a bigger bottle for your shee so it would last a little longer.

Do you think an r6 motor would be much more reliable than a built shee motor. I'm thinking it would.

Its just got me wondering why one side is smokin like a banshee ( no pun intended). I will check my coolant level tommorow, and tranny fluid. Also i know you wont be able to tell without pictures and it being miked, but i hope i will be able to get away with a hone and some rings. As i am rebuilding my tranny in my truck right now.

Ok wired the ignition to a 20 amp toggle switch and mounted it under the seat, works fine, and quad runs. Now i havent ridden it yet this year but i have alot of smoke coming out of the right pipe. Checked plugs and plugs are tan and perfect. This motor was rebuilt by me in 2005 or 2006 and i bought 30 over wisecos and a vitos super stock crank. Anyways i gave it a compression test and im down to 90 in each cylinder? I did a compression test on my buddys 95 thats never been rebuilt and hes at 125 and 130? Does this automatically point to worn rings or could there be a seal somewhere in the case that is taking a crap and maybe thats also why its smoking?

Im 15 -20 mins north of grand rapids, how much would ya want. Id like to have this thing running by tonight, is there anyway i can bypass the key until i recive it. I was also thinking that maybe my buddy mixed up the keys because he has a banshee also, but he said hes been riding his. Would two keys work in his and mine be so picky that only one would work? Thanks Cody

Ok went riding up north in michigan with my buddy, he brought my quad home for me since i was staying with the girlfreind halfway in between my parents house and where we rode. Long story short i gave him the key and when i got back home the key would not turn to the on position, i pulled the key out and it was bent pretty good. I straightened the key out on the vice and still no worky. I pulled everything off down to the key cylinder sprayed some brake clean in and there still was no success. I guess first question is where could i get a replacement, second if theres anyway to bypass the key for this weekend , want to ride bad tommorow. I dont want this to sound fishy at all, this is my 95 that i have had since 2004. Thanks Cody

Big Shout out to the 'ol timers!
papa_smurf49319 replied to ledofthezep's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i was wondering where all the old timers were at! -
on your rods, side to side is ok to a extent. Up and down is not! Correct me if i am wrong but the stock crank is not rebuildable so you cant get the rods of the rod journals of the crank!

Listen to my bike please.
papa_smurf49319 replied to 05.Banshee.SE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
not to beat a dead horse but i was thinking you deffinetly have a motor mount loose like the others said, otherwise sounds real good! -
So if i dont cut my fenders is there any tips or tricks on how to prevent the paint from cracking?
-
i love the look of the stock tank, but i love having the extra fuel capacity, and i definetly use it where we ride! So i like the tank alot, just not the way it looks. I would like to do black, but my buddy is already buying black plastics for his shee and he has a black ims, so im trying not to copy him, because we ride together and i hate when people have the same exact thing as me! But any suggestions on the color would be greatly appreciated, anything is better then the purple raspberry whatever you call it that is on it now! Also my girlfreinds dad paints cars and has done work with plastics on cars, and my girlfreind is also going to school for custom paint, so im hoping she will airbrush something for me on the plastics. I know you guys have good taste on here so any help with the colors would be great! Im stumped as in what i should do!

Im going to have my girlfreind and her father paint my quad plastics. Sounds pretty simple right! Well i have a 95 with a ims 5.6 gallon tank and its a nasty yellow color! Help me decide what colors to paint my plastics knowing that the yellow tank is staying! I was thinking of orange or black, and im looking at house of kolors paint. Also open to flake, marbalized. But i want this to look as cool as possible even with the stupid ugly tank. Old pics of quad are in signature. Since then i have gotten quad rock rims and new tires!

Post your custom painted plastics, and who painted them. Real interested in theshees work! Thanks

Overtightening A Chain
papa_smurf49319 replied to papa_smurf49319's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
ya thats what i was worried about, the countershaft bearing! So whould i notice instattley if i had damaged it at all, i did hear some whining hawling noises when i first started riding! I would have went to the hardware store and picked up some bigger wrenches while i was up there and fixed it right away, but i always heard it would just stretch the chain faster, and if you were jumping it alot it might snap the chain! -
Shifting problems on my banshee
papa_smurf49319 replied to banshee1998's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Grab your shifter lever and see if you can pull it out and push it in at all, if you can pull it out a bit and see what the does. By pulling on it i mean horizontally!!!!
