  1. all my riding buddies with 18cc domes run 100LL with no problems. It is oxygenated and I have had some guys tell me it can lean your bike out...think about getting a bigger radiator as it will help to combat detonation too
  2. X-cite Bike! Moto-Carrera did my porting....They have done some porting on some rz350's that I've rode and build some fast chit. They did not recommend running the 2-1 set up with my port, they said the stockers bored out would make alot more power than the 2-1 even with a 38. But recommend the Mikuni 32 Flat Slides with T-5s. These guys have been building RD400 motors for years and if you can hog out and keep one of those air-kewld pigs together I figured they could make a banshee run hard. I hope I get alot more out of the dual carbs.
  3. with cubs and a 35 you would prolly run the bowl out of gas I run a stock stroke agressive trail port with a 38 airstriker, it runs really hard but the power delivery is hard to explain. For instance...riding it down the street it feels somewhat slow, but when your in the sand sidehilling and running the long hills it just doesn't slow down. I can ride it @ 70% of the throttle (compared to before the port job) and it's just as fast. If that makes sence to you. The gearing feels shorter and you need to shift earlier. This set up is ultra reliable and very low maintance. Needless to say I am switching to duals before this season starts....After riding the shee for a year with this set up I am yurning for that nasty banshee hit when the power comes on. But if I lived in the woods and not in the wide open desert this set up would be ideal, pretty much everything I ride these days is wide open. I have some friends that have ran 4mil bikes with single Lectrons with really good results.
  4. go with an MX or agressive trail port....that will keep your mid-range alive. Bore your stock carbs out and get rid of all the tors crap if you haven't done so already, with your pipes you should have good all around power.
  5. For cast go with Pro-X...pretty much a stock Yamaha replacement piston. You will not see a power increase with new pistons on a 2-stoke (I know Vitos claims power increases with there ported pistons) but get some port work done if you are craving more power. I've been running pro-x pistons for years and haven't had one come apart yet on any of my ported motors.
  6. I went out to Amargosa this morning (left at 5 am) to dune the buggy around for a couple hours. It's about 100 miles north of Vegas....for such a small set of dunes I must say it was alot of fun! I highly suggest checking this place out if your in the area. Some sweet jumps and in general just beats the hell out of riding in dirt  It was 78 when we got there around 6 and 90 when we left at 9....I cant wait till the weather gets nice so I can spend some more time at all of the dunes around Vegas! Sorry was having too much fun to take any pics, I will get some next time I go....I should have the shee back together by then.
  7. I think putting a rap-turd 700 EFI motor in a 250 odyssey is a waste, it would be better served in a golf cart or something with some better suspension. There is a guy on flea bay selling the Joyner buggys with out motors in them...that might be the way to go as that would double or triple the hp that those 650cc cars come with while adding gears at the same time. That way you have a roomy 2 seater with some suspension travel that will make it up most hills.
  8. all my buddies that were framing residential property have switched over to doing commerical work....now they are wondering why the hell they didnt start doing commercial buildings a long time ago. The only place I'm still doing a decent amount of resi products is in the NW...Seattle seems to be doing OK.
  9. I did a set of these pistons about 2 years ago in my bike and don't know what you are refering to...got some pics? Good choice on pistons, they are a good cast piston, you dont have to warm up your bike like with a forged piston...just fire up and ride hard
  10. not much action on the boards
  11. I like the burgards....pretty much the same as the 1st generation Lone Stars
  12. thats what I was thinkin....try 28:1 and go up a size or 2 on the main
  13. the cinders are awsome...one of my favorite places to ride. The more paddle you can bring the better, Hundo Hill is a hard run on a banshee unless you weigh 80lbs and are one hell of a pilot.....you have to hit the bottom of hill going through the trees tapped in 4th to even have a chance on a stocker. My buddy used to take his YZ250 on a Knobbie up it but he was a little guy and could really ride. Some of the hills there are really steep and you have to hold the gas WFO for what seems like forever. There are nice trails that run through the trees and into the other valleys. Unless you ride a show quad sand only type machine I wouldn't worry about scarring up your bike.
  14. I have the same shocks set up with +2 +1 arms and they are the chit in the sand! smooths out the choppy ruts and keeps you riding harder for longer periods before you need a
  15. I found lots of places stocking trucks & parts for these little guys, but most are in the mid-west areas.
  16. http://www.usedminitrucks.com/forsale.html Anybody ever driven one of these? I've wanted to build a gold cart for a while, and kind of wanted a Rhino too. But these little 4x4's seem like they be a blast in the dunes. I've seen them for sale for around $3000. Just wondering how much get up & go they have. I know Ive seen the beverage chicks haulin ass in them at the golf course.
  17. lol...I remember that vid
  18. Anybody going to this?? http://www.snvsupermoto.com/schedule.htm I will be there racing my fiddy....maybe the shee too if I get it put back together in time

  20. you had to ream the spindles on the old school LSRs, Id say maybe 3 yrs ago or so
  21. I like the RZ motors, they are super smooth and pull really hard. Granted the one I had was in a 3 wheeler with a 54 tooth sprocket
  22. cool, give me a day or two....Ive got to bring my diggy cam home from work. but they are brandy new, maybe 5 rides on them. I picked up some red fullbores and the blue bars arent gettin her done
