  1. I was at a local bike shop and there was a nice flattrack/supermoto roller in this shop set up with a CR500 linkage. I was bouncing it around and it seemed like a chit load of droop..... My backend is still stock sept for the axle/rotor/carrier ... ect. I really like that Elka long travel set up... But wouldnt mind doing it for half the price, kinda trying to work with the stock swinger for now  Anybody have any insight on this set up? Any things to look out for? Pics would be great...
  2. I like em... ProPegs are doing me good... I feel safe riding in DCs with them
  3. your good on a 13 front... It'll rip .. prolly bout the same as 20's on stock gearing, you might wanna run some extra pressure to get em spinnin and sliding a little more.
  4. I wanna get my t-5s done in ceramic, How much are you guys paying to have the silver coating done?? Im guessing they have to bead blast all the chrome off first.
  5. I was out there... We were with the red front engined sand rocket and the big yellow V8 5-seater. That yellow banshee did run really good. Did you guys see our 16 foot tower o wood we lit up?? One of the bush piles by our camp made a sweet kicker ramp ... all in all great weekend, couldnt beat the weather!
  6. Ya they go forever ..... its hard coming up with a reason to buy a new set, Ive been watching graigslist for a deal on some buffers, everybodys unloading chit right now
  7. the Propegs are badazz... I prefer the Black ones
  8. those would look sick on a white frame
  9. More Oil = More Compression & Less Friction = More Power The flashpoint of the oil is how you determine how much to run
  10. Indeed... What Ben said -- I liked the forums betta in the ol days, but things change. I still poke around on here from time to time, check out some new product reviews n stuff, try and dodge the newbs
  11. Jerry Hall would be my recommendation...His dune motor is like 70h.p. with T5s, stock cylinders, stock modified head & stock modified carbs running on 100LL. Purdy sweet my buddies rig was killing extended bikes at the drags last year on a stock wheelbase bike. It ran great!! My bike comes on just a tad earlier (mx port).. But where mine signs off his just keeps on going, and going, and going.... tons of overrev. It was bulletproof all last season too. He's got a dyno, and has been porting for a very long time. I would like to buy some flea-bay jugs and have him port them for me very soon. I was happy with my porting until I rode his bike..
  12. This is one I grabbed on Fleabay.... I think it was $59... works great
  13. What other bolt ons do you have?? this guy Jerry Hall in Phx, AZ builds a nice motor with stock modified carbs, stock modified head & stock ported reed cages running 100LL that makes 72-74 horse on a stock stroke----has a huge mid range with tons of overrev. His bike handed everyone an ass whooping at Gordons last trip...on a stock swinger too. Really, really impressed with this set up
  14. I got the Silvervein ones...nice arms for the cash. I like em...haven't had a problem....they said they were blems but the powder coat looks flawless. Got em for 2 hundo and change.
  15. pull the airbox and boots off...yank the plastic and tank...this will make it easy to work the stock carbs, I recommend getting the tors eliminater kit to really take time off of tuning the stock carbs. Pull the bottoms off the carbs and make sure everything is free of junked up old gas n oil. Read the numbers on the bottom of the main jets....you should be around a 280 to start with those pipes. How is the idle?
  16. never herd of em...they are spensive! Buy Elkas....you can go long travel and get arms & shocks for a little more than the price of these shocks
  17. Ill be there, most likely camping at Gordons though...I'll have to take the buggy over to the store or I doubt I will have enough petro to make it back in the shee.
  18. both of those shock set ups are bad ass...dont know what else to tell ya....you can get the basic non adjustable Elkas & the Works steelers with Rezzies for about the same price...Good Chit anyway you cut it. Flippin the wheels is koo...works great...just fill the orignal hole with jb weld or something and drill for a valve stem on the other side, the stock fronts work good for this. It just makes looking at your bike so much better with a big front end
  19. very cool....always loved the split bumpers
  20. open to trades but really want a golf cart https://post.craigslist.org/manage/526537698/nipfp
  21. Jerry Hall in AZ....He showed me dyno numbers of the stockers line bored vs. some 35's on a dune ported stock stroke bike that made 3 more horse through the entire band up to 9000 rpm....then the 35s made a few more ponies till it fell off...I chink he knows how to work over the stockers
  22. my bike seemed to like the EEK the best...but this was with a 38mm carb
  23. How much did ya end up getting them for? .....I think mine were $442 for the dune editions from Eric @ Elka in Canada, they showed up in 8 or 9 days I think.
  24. those pipes were rz350 Toomeys, I just turned them up to the sides like drag pipes and welded some tabs for the footpegs. I thought those jugs had some bolt on type flanges or something when I gave you the motor?
