  1. Indeed! ....Riding with one carb on a banshee is like banging a girl with one titty...it's ok, but leaves you thinking that something is just not right :ermm:
  2. Motul 800 @ 28:1.....more oil makes for a happy motor  ....just jet it a little rich to compensate for it. I think that all of the syn oils are good chit....and benoil is awsome as well.
  3. Im usually down for the Amargosa day trips...sorry I didn't see this post....Hit me up next time you go! 775-745-4746 Geno
  4. I don't have any pics Wacko but should be able to get some next week....I left my bike at a friends house in AZ.... As far as customer service goes I have nothing but good things to say about burgard. I ordered my arms a year before I mounted them up and found that they had sent me the wrong tie rods by mistake (too long) I tryed to make them work by cutting them down and tapping them but the ball joints bottomed out and I still couldn't get the toe out far enough....I called up Burgard and got Izzy on the phone and he sent me out new ones right away without having to give him the ebay auction number or anything...top notch in my book. But I might have just got lucky. I really like the G-Series shocks, they look badass and Im sure they perform....good looking bike Wacko I'm just a duner, not a hardcore racer so I'm pretty easy to satisfy. Going from riding on a stock front end for 4 years to the burgards & Elkas was a wet dream....I couldn't see gaining anything from a more exspensive set up with the way I ride.
  5. ya that set up is great for tight trails & smaller tracks....the 33s have created a mid range monster! I don't think it's gonna be too rev happy with my port but I'll have to wait and see. TBM: Let me snap some fresh pics of these parts and send em to ya....I think I have everything: 38PWK Airstriker Stage 4 Intake ss throttle cable for thumby o rings & intake boot have only a couple rides on em bunch o needles & jets Uni Pod filter with Outerware Not the cleanest stuff around, but works great. I will clean up that sumbitch this weekend and take some pics...send me a pm with your email. But give me till after new years, prolly gonna drink too much this long weekend to do anything productive
  6. So I finally stuffed some other projects aside and pulled out the banshizzle for some much needed attention. The suspension gave me some hell (I had some wrong parts) but I got it ridable enough to do some tuning on it. I bought a 2-1 from NYUK a few years ago and put it on my stock port 02 banshee along with a new set of reeds...its a Stage 4 intake & 38 PWK airstriker. I thought it was AWSOME, made it rip from the bottom like a 4 stroke. I got a MX port later on and the motor seemed faster but didn't feel like it was making the power it should. It was fast...just not fast enough, and the hit was totally gone....not a jump in power at all going through the RPMs I'm not going into the jetting on this one as it would take a few pages to write up...I went through countless needle and jet combos trying to extract every ounce of juice I could. So not being wowed with the performance when I parked it I picked up a set of 33PWKs set up by SUDCO & a noss head with 19s (my stock head is shaved 35 thou).....I bolted them up with some UPP intakes that came with the carbs and gave her hell once down the street with the jetting and needles that came in the carbs. HOLY CHIT! this thing is SO much faster than before...it comes on quick and rips the fronts off the ground. It's so much faster I fryed the clutch after just 2 rides down the street and I really couldn't get an idea of how high it's going to rev....but it's looking really, really good. I just wanted to throw that out there because I see so many 2-1 questions on here, Im not bashing them, after all I own one  .....but I am completely floored by the improvement & think I really just started to miss the power band I had when it was just stock with pipes & filters fyi: MX port stock cages w/boysen reeds ported UPP intakes w/crossover tube uni pods 19cc domes on 100LL T-5s Big Radiator Hit me up if ya want to buy a 2-1 with a 38PWK for cheap
  7. Here is what I did, and highly recommend for anyone in the market for a new front end... On ebay Burgard sells under the account name "quadparts"....they sell silver vein coated arms with chrome tie rods for around $220-250 a set. they sell them as used or blem sets but they are brand new. I could not find any blems in the powder coat on the set I bought. they are camber adjustable and really nice arms. If you go this route you can get the standard Elka play shocks for $440 direct from Elka and have a kick ass front end for under $700! Here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...1QQcmdZViewItem My bike IMO rides much better than my friends bike with Lonestar arms and Works shocks
  8. Rolling out at around 3 on Friday...we should be back in front of the finger dunes by bathroom 6. Ive got a blue/rust colored beam buggy and a red/white/blue honda fiddy on a paddle....shouldnt be hard to spot. See you guys out there!!!
  9. for tee shirts you can buy the iron on printer paper and print out a design on a color printer that actually come out purdy koo if you take your time on em. Where is Lee @ these days?
  10. I had a 86 with white plastic, FMF pipe, 38PWK, lightly shaved head and a uni filter in the airbox (I was McLuvin that thing in the water holes and mud puddles)....that thing always ran great! Never did a thing to it other than swap some tires and clean the carb and filter every once in a blue moon. I put so many miles on that thing and not once did it not get me back to the trailer, even after many crashes. It would take piped banshees on flat ground and up the hills in the dunes. I got to weigh that bish one day on our big shipping scale at work and with a tiny bit of gas and all other fluids it tipped the scales @ 278lbs.....no wonder that sumbitch would run! I sold that beast for a measley $900 4 years ago....I haven't seen a clean one under $1500 for a long time
  11. Cool man I'll keep an eye out for you...at night look for the biggest Sobe Bombs and you shall find me ....I should be with a bunch of trucks with DumontDunes.com stickers on em. I just bought a paddle for my fiddy so I will be the fat guy on a little bike in the camp areas. I'll be in a Black/Tan Ford Expedition, still got to reload photo resizer on my laptop so I can post some pics of my junk.... Damn Lee can you put a program in this bad boy that resizes pics for ya????
  12. I'm having a hard time picking out a seat cover to go with my red Fullbores. I really like 3 or 4 of the Cascade ones but most of the pics I have found with them mounted up are with stocker type plastic set ups. I was thinking about one of the ones for the 04-05 Red & White shees... http://webforce.nwrain.net/founder/cascade...ORE_DEPT_ID=214 I have silver vein arms & Elka shocks, and am coating my hubs red. It's been blue since I bought it in 02. I know solid black ones are standard practice with the Red Bores, but I am wanting something a little different, a little louder if you know what I mean. Anybody have any good pics of bikes with solid red plastic? Maybe one of the covers that is solid black with the checkered wrap around stripe? http://webforce.nwrain.net/founder/cascade...ORE_DEPT_ID=217
  13. that site's set up is all fuckered up! I don't even remember what my log in is over there
  14. I didn't see one one here so what the hell....Post up your rigs if want to meet up. I know SoCalinit wanted to meet up for a ride. I am still up in there air on weather my bike will be put together but I will be rockin the beater buggy at the least. This will be a the first holiday weekend in a place other than Glamis or Gordons for me so Im stoked to see what kind of peeps come out of the woodwork for this one  I was going to Gordons but figured it would be cool to check out a new spot and meet some riding buddies...I'll put up a pic of my buggy this week so you can watch for me at the hill, we will kill a few
  15. just needs some missiles and a smoke screen... someone was telling me the other day that the banshee could come back with the Yami Fazer Snomo motor...the 500 twin 4 poke. You guys would know more than me. But it's a cool idea, that motor lays down 80 horse, I guess it's 2 YZ250F motors stuck together.
  16. going back out to Amargosa for a few hours Sat morning if anybodies intrested!!
  17. I'll be @ Dumont that weekend mobbing the dune buggy around....come on by the DumontDunes.com camp for a cold one! I was hoping to get the shee back together by that weekend but the lack of AC in my shop has crushed my motavation
  18. ya if you have never been to the G-Spot you will get hooked....it blows away all of the dunes I have been to (especially on the off weekends when it's not real crowded)....I am torn between Dumont and Glamis for Holloween, the short drive from here is really nice. I still gots some stuff to do to the rail and get the shee back together, it's getting close!
  19. What's the biggest single anyone has ever ran?? That 44 is the biggest one I have ever heard of someone bolting up before. I think Lectron will make up to a 52
  20. Very true....but I really thought I would love a bottom end banshee, great power if you ride the tight stuff. I'm just not McLovin it like I thought I would
  21. I agree....after running the single 38PWK set up with my agressive trail port the top end leaves much to be desired. It does bark like a thumper out of the hole and lugging gears is nice....but I swear the bike was ALOT faster after the port and it just gets damn near boring in the sand when you row through the gears.....I should have 33's on my bike in a couple months, I let you guys know how I like the change.
  22. Car Craft in So Cal can prolly hook ya up. What motor you have in ur buggy??
  23. I might roll out....prolly just bring the buggy and some beer and sleep in the truck
  24. ya Moto Carrera does focus on the street bikes...but a Yami twin is a Yami twin....the portwork similar, and as a general rule the guys that make the RZ's fast can make the banshees move as well. A builder that ports an air-cooled cafe racer can do up a quad motor because they have been doing it for sooooo long. Sounds like your on the right track, Ive been told by so many people that I shouldn't be able to get that much more power out of my motor with 2 carbs.....but every builder and shop tells me the single set up is holding it back. Maybe I will take a couple vids after I get it back together and then after bolting up a set of 32 or 33s...that would be a cool comparo
  25. Mother of God....run some more oil in that beeotch
