  1. Braap... Swap those T6s for a set of T5s and you'll pick up 10 horse on top
  2. 12 O clocks got you covered.... I would suggest sending your stock carbs, timing plate & head to a builder to modify. Do you live by a small airport? If so: Recon over there and see if you can buy 100LL out of the pump. Have the timing plate notched to advance it 5 1/2 degrees.... with a modified head and the carbs dialed in it will wake that pig up in a hurry. Theres a builder here in AZ that builds a nice package for Av-Gas with stock modified carbs, head, timing plate (same one Im running), His port, VF3s and T-5s that makes 70hp... Assuming your crank is still solid, you could have it welded up and build a nice reliable motor for a reasonable amount of doah. I'm sure our site sponsors have similar packages, I stripped out a stud on my bike and had to drill it out and drop a heli-coil in... it was a little nerve racking but no issues at all.
  3. those are pimp... Haven't seen a set of those for ever I have 2 sets of 12s for my golf cart... One set is Douglas lite cast with 25" Trail Tires for the street/dirt. They are effin heavy.. over 35lbs at each corner at least. The other is my sand set up... 12 Douglas .125 aluminums with 26x12x12 triple buff haulers... and bead to bead buffed fronts. They weigh less than a 20" molded paddle mounted on a ITP Aluminum wheel. I have 20x10x9 sand stars in my garage that are heavier than the 26" x 12 superbuff rear with 7 paddles. The .125 12" douglas would be the way to go... As the rubber weighs more than wheel, you could theoretically have a lighter sand tire set up with 12's?
  4. I went from stock... to PIAAs (yamaha factory replacements) ... to 4" HIDs with a battery conversion. I wouldn't recommend anything other than HIDs for safety reasons. The trail tech MR16 HID package is the smallest ones I have seen.
  5. Ohh ok, you must be in Tucson. I live in Apache Jct off of Idaho and Southern but travel down south quite a bit for work... i will try to pop in sometime. Whats the name of the shop? If your up for it ET motorpark has sand drags/mud bogs once a month on Sat.... Do you know the back way into the valley thru Coolidge??
  6. What part of town you in Bill? We've been going to the sands drags at night in the summer. Might be @ Glamis for Turkey day... Although my group pretty much dunes on off weekends these days. Sick bike, Would love to check that thing out in person... Hopefully one day I run across a Sundahl roller for sale
  7. Im about your size fully loaded with the sixxer rack full of drinks and have been running the Cheapo Elka Dune Edition fronts for 2 years... Ride at the dunes 90% of the time. I jump the piss outta my bike on every ride and constantly slam down wheelies, No fade, EVER! $445 direct from Elka in Canada Now are the adjustables and Adj w/Rezzies gangster? Hell Yes! Wish I had em. But the stage 1s bolted up and got it done, never even played with the preload. After they broke in they were superplush. that being said I nutted up on my golfcart project and got the rezzies
  8. Going out again this Sat.. Gates open at 5... racing starts round 7 Had a blast last month, raced till midnight! Track is on Ironwood, a couples miles south of the 60
  9. Were you out there Titan? I had a good time... prolly go next month too. My bike looks alot like the one in your sig. We raced till midnight... even ran my truck down the drags a couple times. I could drop my times by a second if I had a bigger swingarm tho
  10. Check it out: http://etmotopark.com/mud-bogs Lots of my friends are going to do the mud bogs... I might just take the banshee since the paddles are still on it from the last dune run. My bikes far from a drag bike but should be fun none the less... you can bring beer
  11. ya I feel the same way about driving a Rhino in the sand... Its very fun and comfortable.. but lacks the excitement for the most part. This golf cart should be the cure for that issue. It will weight about 400lbs less, make another 20 h.p. and it will shoot massive amounts of smoke out the ass end while whaleing that 2 stroke twin sound we all know and love.
  12. That darkside Rhino is supersick... My friends running a RX1 sled motor in one with the CVT set up and its scary fast too. I didn't want to build something that fast, Just a cruiser that could follow a quad through the dunes if need be. The bikes have beat the hell outta me over the years so with age comes a cage...LOL
  13. I actually moved back to AZ in September... havent updated my profile lately
  14. What about an OLD SCHOOLER title for being a member since christ was king...LOL
  15. heres some details on it... 12.5 travel front -- 14 rear Fox 2.0 Coilovers with Remote Resi Chromoly bracing and suspension arms billet center pull steering rack (sandrail rack) Badass FK heims all the way around everything is bolted in via bushings (makes for easy disassembly, and dampens vibration) 1 1/2 DOM .95 wall main chassis 42" bench PRP seat with Dragon fire harnesses 26" triple buffed bead to bead skat trak paddles on .125 rims (really light) total weight should be around 800lbs same wheel base as stock Rhino --75" 4 inches wider than stock rhino with the sand tires motor should make about 55 hp rear end is a Dana H12 out of an Electric golf cart... Welded up Building to beat on the SXS crowd in the dunes without being trendy ;-P Its gone about $8000 over budget, you really dont know how much the little things add up when you build something like this from scratch... just in hardware, tabs and welding rod Ive spent a grand.
  16. when did ya end up owning this site Tyler? Havent been on here in a few yrs
  17. its weird... I am trying to put some more up but it sez the files are too big? I used the same phone to take the pics. Should be drivable in a month Powdered up before dune season hopefully
  18. Been working on this for a few months.. Teaching myself how to Tig Weld at the same time Motor is a Yami 440 Sled motor with a AAEN pipe (that we custom cut to shoot out the back) Enjoy, Sorry for the small pics
  19. The cheap Elkas are awsome... Ive been riding mine for 3 yrs and they work the whoops at the dunes. I got em direct from Elka in Canada, unless your riding in endurance races the Resi shocks (although they are the chit) are a bit of overkill IMO.
  20. awwwn man... I was so fuckered up one night I drilled the hole in the wrong side of my neighbor's carb...LOL
  21. I should be moving back to the East side in a few months... I can show you guys all the good stuff out that way, Im not real sure on the good spots for quads out west... but know some bitchen single track out that way. Glamis on an off weekend is the best riding you can do on a banshee IMO
