You should call Grand River racing....you not see that add at the top of the page that shows the new inframe drag pipes? Granted, it says Cheetah cub inframes but needless to say they would work on your banshee with no problems. Those pipes are supposed to be the next best thing to the out of frame drag pipes, you should be the first to get some on here and tell us what you think about them There aren't a whole lot of pipe builders that come on the forums, some, but not many. Your best bet would be to call around to a few different shops and see what you can get done. I still think the GRR inframe pipe would probably be your best option, or some rocket pipes. I'd be different and go with the GRR inframes though

I agree too...my next door neighbor is a cop, he told me that if I ever come across the cops while I'm out riding DON'T RUN! 9 times out of 10 if you stop for them, be straight forward and not a prick they'll let you off with a warning of some sort. If you run, it makes you look guilty even if you're not...so, of course they're gonna impound your bike and give you a ticket. Not trying to be a smartass, just telling it like I've been told

Yeah, you should let it warm up for about 5 minutes...let it sit there and idle. 2 strokes run like crap when they're cold, at least mine does. If it still hesitates after it's warm, you more than likely need to rejet your carbs or maybe just a good cleaning. Hesitation usually signifies a lean condition, so depending on what range of throttle it hesitates depends on which jet needs to be changed, or for that matter which setting the needle needs to be on. Welcome to the HQ and good luck with getting your banshee!

a color scheme im thinking about
bigboybanshee replied to sycoracer911's topic in Banshee Appearance
It would definitely be original, but I'm not crazy about the color combo. But, that's just my opinion...nothing personal. If you were to do orange, I think you should ditch the black and go with all chrome and orange. Above all though, do what you think looks good. Don't rely on what other people think...The way I look at it is your banshee reflects you, your personality; kind of like the clothes you wear. If you like it, that's all that matters -
LMAO, that would make for a good addition to the video I'm gonna make
-
Great advice!! That's honestly the best thing to do; there are so many different types of riding that benefit from different mods, you should really figure out what type of riding you will do most and set it up for that.

If you plan to do some real duning then definitely go with inframes. If all you were doing was dragging, then out of frames should be fine. I don't think the mounts on out of frame pipes are really strong enough to withstand hard duning for lengthy periods of time...I may be wrong, but that's just my .02 I hope to hold my own at LS this fall running my out of frames...I'll probably be slower off the start cause of my long swinger but I hope to show some folks my banshee's ass

Wow, RNBRAD and sredish, those were excellent explanations!!! Thanks for clarifying that for me, looks like I'm gonna have to do some research before I buy my next set of subs! Thanks guys!
-
Hey RNBRAD, is what you said about the Kickers only particular to the L7's or solobarics? I have a pair of the Kicker CompVR 12's and when I doubled the wattage I noticed a huge difference in the sound quality and frequency range (mainly low frequencies). I'm not trying to say you're wrong, just trying to get more details I know the Kickers are power hungry subs, using the amount of power you could efficently use on multiple subs of other brands...Considering that my subs have a continous rating of 400 watts, with a peak of 600, I couldn't imagine that anything over 100 watts of amp power would be "useless" for lack of better terms

Welcome to the HQ!!!!

Outstanding!!!! Something told me it wasn't your coil... A lot of people don't take into consideration that if your air filter is dirty or restricted by a dirty outerwear, it will definitely affect the performance of your bike; especially on 2 strokes being that they are so "picky". I'm really glad you found the problem, yours was nothing to be "embarrassed" about...there have been people who claimed they couldn't start their banshee and found out their problem was not turning the run switch to "run" or forgetting to turn the gas on.

True, but Big Blue also has a very good point. Besides that, if I'm not mistaken the Vito's pistons have a different cut to them which might not work well with a port job....I may be wrong, but I believe that to be the case. If I were you, I'd run the Vitos pistons on this bore, and then when it comes time to have them bored again, go ahead and get the port work done and the pistons to match. Like Big Blue said, there's no reason to waste a bore, and I would definitely not want to risk having a fresh bore nicked on accident and then have a set of pistons you can't use; meaning you'd have to get the cylinders bored again and buy the next size up for pistons. Just MHO

HELL Yeah!!! Another Jager drinker in the house!! I know what you mean, I'm anxious as hell to go!!!! I wish this weekend was the trip lol, that reminds me, I got a banshee to build
-
It's all good man! It'll definitely be a good time, I had a blast last year and I'm sure this year will be even better! Do you have a "favorite" drink other than beer? We'll have to have a few shots of something to celebrate the B-Day Yager....MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Should be 120 psi in each cylinder at sea level, respectively. You mainly want to look for a variation in compression between the two cylinders, like if you get 110 in one and 90 in the other....time for a top end rebuild. If you have more than 10 psi difference between the two cylinders, it's time for a rebuild....or, if your compression is below 100, than it's time for a rebuild

Doesn't look like a banshee sprocket hub to me either It may be the pic but the splines in the sprocket hub look wore out too....
-
Glad to hear it!! I'm gonna be sticking my bearings in my swinger tomorrow...what I'm gonna do is freeze the bearings overnight and see if that helps them slide in easier....if not, I'm gonna have to take a torch to my new swingarm
-
I know nothing about powervalves but based on what you said, I can imagine if the exhaust port is smaller than you would have more low end power. Therefore, if you adjusted the screw to make the exhaust port bigger, you in turn would have more top end power. Does that make sense?

Need some help. Diagrams or Discriptions
bigboybanshee replied to kracker2k's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Not sure about the online manual...yamaha's site doesn't tell you where the hoses go, just gives part numbers, etc. for ordering. Why the hell did he take it apart? -

I don't have any diagrams for you, but that so-called friend of yours needs an ass beating!!! I'd be mad as hell if someone just took my banshee apart....he must have broken something! -
LOL, no...I think Stephen had a typo and put the wrong month with the days...I may be wrong though It's September 30th through Oct. 3rd I'll be there the 30th (Friday) till the 2nd (Sunday). You gonna try and make it?

Damn, that really sucks....It just goes to show anything can happen to anyone at any time. Best wishes to him and his family The guy would probably have better luck with donations if his paypal ID wasn't "[email protected]"

I think you should be patient and just wait...you're not gonna get 10 replies on something like "what is the stock jetting on a blaster". Have you not tried calling your local dealer? That's one call, probably 5 minutes time and you'll have the answer....Don't freak out on us because no one answers your question about a blaster on bansheehq. There's nothing wrong with asking but you can't just expect everyone to know and jump right in there. You may not have gotten into the blaster site you referred to being that you spelled it "blater"
