Just to clarify, that will be from September 30th through October 2nd. I'll be there with my banshee, YFZ450, and a friend or two with another YFZ450. Derek, are your brother and Christy gonna come with you again?

I hate to say this but you won't get a whole lot of responses about this now, especially after the few heated debates about this subject. The range of opinions vary so much, you'll never really get a solid answer about it....the best thing to do is to pick an engine builder and discuss your plans with him, then the two of you can decide on whether or not it will work or he can maybe suggest something that will work better for your situation

See, that's what bothers me...the doctor didn't give me any antibiotics, unless the ear drops he gave me have them in it. The pain is getting better, it was unbearable on Wednesday, and I went to the doctor that night. I've only been on the ear drops and pain killers for about 36 hours, but the hearing loss started late last night and has gotten worse this morning. I may not take any more pain killers today and see how the pain is...if it doesn't come on strong like before I'll just keep with the ear drops and wait for improvement. The only reason I really started freaking out this morning is because the doc said I should be getting better by the weekend, but I didn't know if losing my hearing was considered "better"...LOL Thanks again for your help, I asked my wife this morning (she's a nurse / LPN) but she doesn't have enough experience in nursing yet to really advise me on what to expect...she works with mostly post-surgery patients anyhow, not too many ear infections in there. It'll probably chap her ass to know I got the info I needed off of a banshee site; info she couldn't provide

Thanks man, it's not my first ear infection but it is the first to be this bad and definitely the first that's this painful. How long should my hearing be gone? I know you said it would probably be a few weeks for all the fluids to drain; is it gonna take a few weeks to regain any hearing in my ear? I just want to make sure I don't do any permanent damage to my ear by waiting too long to go back to the doctor if necessary. RNBRAD, I can't thank you enough

I got a bad ear infection in my right ear from water getting trapped in it (lots of swimming over the 4th). The doctor gave me some ear drops and pain killers for it and it's feeling better, but I've lost damn near all my hearing in my right ear. Is this normal? I really don't want to go back to the doctor's office and wait for 2.5 hours like I did last time if this is a common occurence. If anyone has any experience with ear infections and knows about the symptoms, etc. please chime in...It's driving me insane not being able to hear Thanks!

Bump These carbs are in great shape guys, they never were mounted after I took this picture and were well taken care of by the previous owner. They'll be here until Friday, after that they're on ebay

I've got a set of 30mm flatslide carbs, with intakes, clamp on K&N's, and throttle cable for sale, $300 shipped. I was planning on using them for my drag setup but am going with 39's after talking with my builder They are the same ones that are in this pic, clutch basket and crank not included

+6 swingarm chromed, made by Grand River Racing. Never ridden on or mounted, the only flaw in it is some very minor pitting from the chroming on one side of the arm. (Chain side) The rest of the chrome / arm looks great. You can't see the pitting when looking at it from a distance but can see it when looking up close. I can imagine once the chain is on you won't see much of it at all. I can get up-close pics of what I'm talking about for you if you're serious about buying it. I'm letting it go pretty cheap considering the small imperfection. $240 shipped in the US Thanks!

What's everyone think about moving the "set date" ahead by one week; which would put the trip between September 23rd and the 26th? Big Blue had mentioned that that weekend is supposed to have a full moon, and it would be really cool to ride at night during the full moon. Anyone have any objections?

200 bucks now (for pistons and bore) while it's still apart or 200 bucks 6 months later and the fun of tearing it apart again as well as possibly sustaining more damage if you do break a piston skirt. You'd be much better off with a fresh top end...just my .02

This is the closest you would get to a Rocket out of frame pipe. Made by GRR, this pipe is supposed to be the best out of frame drag pipe available. You should try to PM NYUK and see if he has any laying around or can get you a connection through Andy at GRR. I doubt he'd be willing to trade, but you could always sell yours out right and get these in place....

I already talked to my boss and he said he'd let me have a few days off to go and play in the sand The days would be September 30th through October 3rd. I'll probably head to Siloam Springs Thursday night and we could head up to LS early Friday morning. Probably head back on Sunday like we did before and have Monday to recover from the 9 hour drive Sound good to you?
