  1. LOL, if I just spent 12,000 on parts I'd be sure I knew how to spell them. I think my favorite is the "tuni" exhaust and the "dunya" ignition
  2. You ever hear of hooked on phonics?
  3. What is the bike doing right now with those jets in it (other than smoking)? Hesitating, sputtering, backfiring? When you put the stock airbox back on, what kind of filter are you running and are you running with the lid on or off? If you're running the stock air filter I can imagine you're probably starving for air...A good setup to run with the airbox is a K&N pro-flow kit and cut 1.5 inches off the back of the airbox lid. By doing that, you get a good amount more air and still protect your filter from mud/water splashing on it...that is if you don't bury your bike in the mud/water. Your jetting sounds close to what it should be, I just think that the stock air setup isn't allowing enough air for your bike to breathe, especially with having pipes and reeds. Let us know what she's doing and we'll get you where ya need to be Oh yeah, welcome to the HQ!!
  4. What I had to do was cut out the rivets that held on the black plastic grill, then drill some new holes in the billet grill so I could bolt it in. It took a little time but works if you want to put an aftermarket grill in the maier radiator plastic
  5. You couldn't be more accurate. Boonman did an awesome job on my flywheel and his turnaround time can't be beat. He must have received my flywheel, lightened it, and put it in the mail the same day; I had it back in a week's time. Words really can't describe how pleased I am with his service.
  6. LOL, thanks! If I wanted to showoff I would have posted this one...
  7. I'm pretty sure he means 4th clip from the blunt end of the needle (top)...that's where mine was
  8. Here is the coolant bottle relocator Cotton Eyed Joe makes....perfect fit, quality is awesome.
  9. LOL, I don't see a suspension forum either...I got the same message as screw machine I remember people asking for one and someone saying there was one, I just never saw it nor can I see it now.
  10. Damn, that sucks, but you're right...time for a rebuild!! It's not that hard, you should go through the bottom end and make sure there are no chunks of metal in your cases. A lot of people just flush the cases with kerosene but I would rather tear it down and inspect all of your seals/bearings, etc. Oh yeah, one more thing...if you do not have a clymer's manual, I highly recommend picking one up from the dealership. It's like the banshee bible and tells you how to completely tear it apart and put it back together.
  11. That's what I used...works perfect. Hey tOj, check out this link on how to build your own (like I did) for pretty cheap. http://www.dunereview.com/mods.htm
  12. At sea level I was running 280 mains with the stock pilot, airbox lid on. With the airbox lid off I bumped it up to a 290 and I was right where I needed to be....this is with PT mids
  13. Damn right....it's 2 months away anyhow, it's bound to be cooler than it is now.
  14. Hell, we didn't have any shade in the south camp where we were at last time You don't need no stinkin shade anyhow, we're supposed to be riding, not lounging
  15. I get all shaky just thinking about this trip, I'm itching for sand!!!! You guys gotta save a spot for Big Blue and I in the north camp, we'll be rolling in Friday hopefully before noon. LOL, if my friends don't start acting right, I may be heading down by myself and a little sooner I'm guessing Saturday will be the day we all try to make sure we get together and ride, take a group pic, etc? Granted I'm sure we'll be hanging out throughout the time we're there but did you guys want to try and have everyone meet up at the strip around 11 or noon on Saturday? Just over 2 months till it's time!!!!! I gotta get my ass in gear LMAO
  16. Noss Head, reeds, and timing. K&N air filter if you don't have one already
  17. I agree...at sea level your main jets would typically be in the 270-300 range with the mods you listed. Your setup sounds very similar to my old setup and I was running 280 mains, 27.5 pilot, needle in the 4th clip from the blunt end.
  18. If you wanna email me the pics I'll post them up here for you.... [email protected] Everyone else trying to sell their pipes, etc. in trex banshee's thread needs to start their own for sale thread....hijackers!!!
  19. If you move to Memphis let me know, I'll show you around town
  20. I hear ya! The swingarm is coming along nicely. I'm using a brake cylinder hone on it and it's working great. It's time consuming but working really well. Here soon I'll have another list of parts I'm not using on the drag bike, if you're interested in any of it I'll cut you a good deal
  21. Your jetting could definitely be the problem but also take into consideration that two cylinder's exhaust is getting pushed through one pipe, so I would imagine it should be hotter than if you were running two pipes. Granted, I'm not sure how much hotter it would be but if you're jetting turns out to be right and your bike runs fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it. JMO
  22. Holy shit, I forgot I went and grabbed a pair of these end caps for you off of my old swinger. I'll box them up and send them your way today....
  23. If he has the stock air box with a K&N filter, then he should be close with 280 or 290 mains and a stock pilot. Those jets are what my banshee was running when I had Paul Turners
