  1. When you removed the TORS, did you make sure you removed the little black box that controls the TORS?
  2. It's not IE, this is the ONLY site I have trouble with...it happens EVERY single day. I see where people have made the posts in the website issues, but nothing's changed and it's been like this for weeks, at least
  3. Well, who do you want to go with for your chassis? Are you particular to Dave Moore or are you open to different people? Dave Moore makes real nice setups and his stuff is definitely proven, but quick16 makes some great chassis too, and I've seen his work in person, awesome craftsmanship. There are several other options as to who you could get your frame from, I'm partial to quick16's work since I've seen it perform, and they look badass Dave Moore rigids http://www.davemooreracing.com/dagger_chassis.html Here's a couple pics of quick16's chassis, they belong to my good friend Frank, these two bikes are flyin! You could also check out GT performance, I hear their work is top notch
  4. I think the drag chassis is a wise move if you're serious about racing. The chassis alone will help your times out tremendously. But I don't think that chassis you picked out is really what you want for dragging on asphalt, that one is more for hill shooting/duning. I'd recommend looking at a rigid chassis. If you're wanting to run a suspended bike, then just get another stock frame and lighten it. Just my opinion  Regardless of the fancy stuff, when it's all done and over with expect to spend 5-6 G's overall, as okbeast said
  5. First off, check with your local 1/4 mile track and see what rules they go by if any...my local track is strictly by NHRA rules, and it forbids any aftermarket chassis or cut chassis, only stock trim. They also require a chain guard, full leathers, and a few other little things before they'll even consider letting the quad run. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the quad can be no longer than 60" long, hub to hub But, if you have a relaxed track, then it'll be open to what you want to run with... If you're wanting to run 1/4 mile, definitely think about getting a fuel pump. You "may" not need it but it would suck finding out the hard way... Also go ahead and start looking at adjustable a arms, ones you can adjust the caster on. It'll make a HUGE difference at high speeds. I was running stock arms last year in the 1/8 and at 80+ mph, it vibrated like a giant dildo, lol You can run slicks but I would recommend trying to get some American Racers for rear tires. I guess the main thing is find out what rules you have to go by, and build your quad around that...if they don't follow any specific guidelines, then you can start cutting your frame down to shave weight, put whatever length swingarm you want, etc. Let us know and I'll do what I can to help out.
  6. Another for PT mids with FMF silencers... Grand River Racing small bore suicide pipes
  7. LMFAO, that was hysterical...I needed that laugh, thanks!
  8. I've seen them but not with a weedeater engine in them. Radio shack sells an electric YFZ450, and I've also seen a KFX700 quad that looked like it was gas powered, but these were both your typical sized R/C vehicles.
  9. I'm running stock ignition on mine and it seems to run just fine. I didn't opt out for an aftermarket ignition cause I'm not running anything "out of the ordinary" like nitrous that would benefit from a programmed ignition. Everyone I've talked to said that upgrading from stock really isn't necessary and you don't need it unless you're running nitrous...just what I've been told Now, the people I know running nitrous seem to really favor the PVL ignitions. When I buck up and put the gas on mine that's the ignition I'll be switching to.
  10. Thanks everyone! It's been good so far, just got done installing a new billet grill on my truck in preparation for the other goodies I ordered as a happy birthday to me, lol. Got some new 20's, LED taillights, and other odds and ends coming next week. Figured I can't haul my banshee around in a bone stock truck  Thanks again, my wife and I are fixing to go tear up some margaritas and fajitas at the mexican restaurant around the corner. :woot:
  11. It's no big deal, I'm sure Jeff won't mind more recognition!
  12. HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD FART!!!
  13. Might not be a bad idea to check your flywheel, make sure you didn't shear the woodruff key
  14. I would try going 2 teeth less in the rear
  15. Man, I think you're in luck...I searched google and this place lists the 20's, maybe they have some left, it's worth a call  http://www.daymotorsports.com/product/521/c/C117/ I believe mine are: 20.0-10.0-10GT SD-23, 63.5" Roll Out I know that's the right size, just can't remember which compound (SD-23 or 33)
  16. I wasn't trying to suggest you get flames on your seat, I was just showing you how the color matched up. If you look at the link I posted, you'll see it had things in there that you were mentioning above....anyways...
  17. Sorry, I only have one set and it's what I use now...and ironically it's NYUK's old set of tires  ebay is the way to go!
  18. Check this site out, we got a cover from them and the turn around was really quick. You can totally "customize" how you want the color schemes to be, you just pick a design template out and go from there. They have great service....like I said before, the cayman blue they offer is very close to the candy blue. https://www.securebinarymachines.com/Verde_...ATV+Seat+Covers Here's a pic of his seat w/ the cayman blue/polar white cover
  19. I got a pussy ass motor for ya too....go lay down a time at the track for me to compare to
  20. I've always ran 20" American Racers on 10" wheels, but I don't think they're being made in that size anymore. The slicks would be fine to run, but if you're going to run the 1/4 with 18" tires, you're going to have a seriously large front sprocket on there with a small rear sprocket or else you'll tap out way before the finish line. Those 18" slicks should work good for the 1/8 mile though.
  21. My friend Randy went through the EXACT same problem you're running into...he got his frame done in candy blue and thought his blue plastics would match, and indeed, they looked purple next to the frame. We sprayed his plastics with a semi-flat satin white and it looked really good against the frame, at least I thought so...Fullbore makes a blue colored plastic that is very close to the candy on your frame, that's always an option if you're willing to pick some up. Also, don't know what color seat you're going with, but we picked out a cayman blue and white seat cover that is a very close match to the candy blue.
  22. I have a spare set of front shocks I'll let you have if you want them. Came off a 99, in good working order from what I can tell. They're yellow but if you run shock covers you'll never know! You can have them for free, just let me know. I might have a spare set of a arms too, let me know what the damage report is and I'll see what I can do to get you back on your feet for as little money as possible. Sorry to hear about the crash, it was really nice getting to meet you out there!!! Ancient1, I know you got your bike back up and running, but if you need another dog bone let me know...I have a spare one of those too
  23. 300' - 4.7 1/8 mile - 7.90 Stock cylinders (drag ported), stock stroke, stock tranny, stock frame, 300lb rider. I don't believe in jockeys either
