  1. LMAO, I'll never forget that thread
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...109826622QQrdZ1 $125 + 9 bucks to ship. I've always used wiseco, good stuff, plain and simple
  3. That's pretty much how I do it too, it works really good for me. I highly recommend grabbing a friend to help out. One person to hold, other one to staple. I'd get some really strong staples, that seat bottom is tough plastic.
  4. 21cc domes would put you in the 150's range, being at sea level...and you'd be good to go  Only reason I even bother with the octane booster is just because I'm right on the border. If I was closer to 170psi I'd run 100 octane or higher. I wouldn't recommend using octane booster as a substitute for buying race gas when you truly need it though.
  5. Yep! That is the reason I didn't re-do my latest frame in "almost chrome" PC. My last frame was done with it, and it didn't look bad but it didn't look like chrome, that's for sure...
  6. 93 octane up to 160psi compression, anything over 160 you should run 100 octane or more. I'm guessing with no porting, and 20cc domes your compression is probably a little over 160. I have a mildly ported cylinder w/20cc domes in the head and my compression was 159psi. I run 93 octane with a shot of octane booster in mine, no problems so far With your elevation being at sea level, I bet a 270 or 280 main and 27.5 pilot will be almost right on the money
  7. LMAO, someone may want to inform tngrob420 that knoxville is in east TN, not west
  8. A lot depends on your elevation and temps, but you should be in the ballpark of 280-300 for the main jet, and 27.5 pilot.
  9. Oh man, that's not good!!! The more I see threads like this it makes me wonder if I should have stuck with my stock cylinders...nikasil peeling, deck heights wrong, cracks in intake ports, and the list gets longer. I hope everything works out for you, I'll be very interested to hear Calvin's response. He's always seemed like a reasonable person to deal with.
  10. No, it shouldn't hurt it at all. If you don't burn all the purge gas, drain it out...I don't see how running two different fuels through the tank could do any damage
  11. I'll help too, just need to know how...
  12. Headers look awesome!!! Congrats guys!!!
  13. Sorry it took longer than expected, but I got one...I'll mail it to you this week
  14. That's what I figured....hey, I might actually have one in my garage now that I think about it....I'll be home in a few hours and I can check...lol, don't know why I didn't think about it earlier....busy Monday
  15. It all depends on how far you want to go....but I definitely think you should stick with the stock a arms until you opt out for drag arms. Don't bother putting the +2+1 arms on the drag bike..... Also, what engine are you planning to run, and what kind of surface?
  16. I've always called it the swingarm pivot tube...they come in the bearing kits, here's one on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIVOT-WORKS...sspagenameZWD1V I tried looking for just the tube but couldn't find it on ebay...maybe someone might have one if that's all you need.
  17. Here's what you do....pull your fuel lines off the carbs, drain the tank of alcohol. Put fuel lines back on carbs, fill the tank up with however much gas you want to purge the system with, run it until it's out, load up and go home. No need to spend "extra" money on a system. Just my thoughts.
  18. Where in west Tennessee is Windrock?
  19. The weather is crappy here in Memphis, so I'm gonna hook up my new home theater receiver that I bought today. Sit back, drink a beer or 5, enjoy a good movie in 5.1 surround  Tomorrow I'm lowering my truck. Got a bell tech 2/4 drop :woot:
  20. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking this way...I just couldn't believe I saw the post at the bottom for events advertising the planet sand drags, when you can't even say bansheehq over there, it shows up as [censored] as if it's a "bad" word...oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I'm definitely not a strong member over there, I only go to keep in touch with a couple friends. There are some very knowledgeable builders/members over there, but I think the double standard is ridiculous.
  21. ^^^^Very well said, and I know exactly what you mean about this site hasn't had much "attention" lately. It seems like there have been a lot of site issues and no resolutions....site timing out frequently, logging in 3 times a day even if you have it remember your password, no moderation, etc. I do remember Lee saying he has been working on setting up another forum, does that mean bansheehq isn't "important" any more? But back to the topic, I don't think PS would ever "un-censor" the word bansheehq over there, so we might as well fight fire with fire and delete any topics related to planetsand....they ban members over there for advertising without paying...why should they be able to advertise for free over here?
  22. Maybe it's just me, but I find it real fuckin ironic that you can't even say bansheehq on planetsand without it getting censored out, but bansheechick can come over here and advertise the planetsand drags at the bottom of hq. I think it's only fair that if they're going to advertise their shit on this site, then they should at minimum "un-censor" the word bansheehq on their site....or else they should keep their ads to themself. The whole reason bansheehq is censored over there is because they got their panties in a bunch when they found out a large chunk of their members came over here when PS wanted to charge 6 bucks a month to view it. Am I out of line? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...amp;event_id=40
  23. I don't think either of them have websites, but you can PM quick16 on planetsand, and reded and/or 23champ knows how to get a hold of GT Performance, I pretty sure one of those 2 is or was running a GT chassis, very nice setup. I'm going to work on getting you a number for quick16, in case you're not a member of PS  Rajun, if you start to get into it prepare to get sucked in real quick! Asphalt racing is a lot of fun, just be careful and keep your eyes forward, seen to many accidents from people trying to look over and see where their opponent is...
  24. Is your flywheel pickup gapped correctly? All grounded connections solid? When you rebuilt the engine, did you tear it completely down or just do the top end? What is your compression? I know this sounds stupid but have you tried fresh spark plugs?
