I really enjoyed getting to meet those of you that I did, ancient1, wesw, RNBRAD, bansheefreak, trueraiderfan, the Hartsell racing crew, jet mech, and a few others...that alone made the trip worthwhile to me. It really sucked that I ended up heading out early, but mother nature decided to lay the wrath down on my campsite, destroyed my tent, flooded Randy's tent along with Derek's brother's tent (his was a swamp inside), and the campsite was like bubble gum...then the rangers told us it was supposed to rain throughout the night, and we said fuck it and headed back to Big Blue's house and crashed for the night, came home the next day. I would have come down and tried to weasle my way in someone else's camp, but since it wasn't just me, I had a few others with me, I didn't want to impose too bad, lol. Next time I come I'm bringing an enclosed trailer, and am planning my trip in the fall...spring time just hasn't been good to me the past two times I went out there. I did manage to get my bike running pretty good until the clutch completely went out of adjustment (pancake bearing issues), but I'm going outside to fix that and hopefully take it for a run or two today. I had a bog on take off that I'm going to try and get resolved, but once it got going she was a running son of a bitch! Jet mech, what happened to your bike? :ohmy:

Thanks! I really appreciate the offer, but I managed to get some today. I didn't get the chance to change any jets before I go, so it looks like Thursday night is jetting and beer drinking for me!!!! See you all down there, I'm heading out about 7am tomorrow :beer:

I'd keep going up on jets till it clears up..what elevation are you at?

No point in riding it if I can't even get it to rev clean just sitting there, 168's are too rich as well, I'm about to stick a 150 in that ho and beat the pis out of it :: Seriously though, I'm trying to get my hands on 162's, 160's, and 158...the plugs are still wet but either the 162 or 160's should be close

We are going to try and do the same. I expect to get there sometime around 4 or 5pm. Still working out some small issues with my bike, it's being a pain in the ass to get the jetting right. It still seems too rich, but I'll get it figured out today or tomorrow evening at the dunes. :beer:

Yeah, I've been there before too, my knee popped out 3 times in the past year but it always would pop back in a few seconds later. I'm thinking about going to a specialist myself to see about what we can do to help it. I told my friend that he just acquired himself a lifetime injury, once it happens it'll only get worse without help....DAMN those knee injuries, lol Yes, yes...3 days!!!! I still have a lot of work to do but I'm getting it done :biggrin:

Small change of plans for me, I'll be there Thursday instead of Wednesday. One of my friends that is going dislocated his knee pretty bad yesterday, and we're wanting to give it another day to see if he's up for the trip. I'll still be going regardless, but just a day later. Not really a big deal since most everyone is getting there Thursday/Friday anyhow :thumbsup:

I heard that Jim's doesn't sell race gas anymore. My friend called up there last week and was told he no longer sells it... NEVER SATISFIED, one day we'll meet out there...I'm sure the time WILL come! :biggrin:

How long is the strip you're racing on? That makes a big difference in how you should gear Get you some better tires!!! You probably won't have good results with the paddles....

You might want to move up a jet size or two since you pulled the airbox lid. I wouldn't mess with the needle until after you see how bumping up the main does...Plug chop is the best way to know how you're doing on your jetting :thumbsup:
