  1. yea i agree land hard and have to stop in the mountains then "snap ur dead" i wonder how much if any testing was done on this kit
  2. im not sure what exactly they used it was like 3 or 4 steps to chroming plastic it was all chemical i dont even think they used heat this was for auto mirrors im sure their are many dif. ways
  3. i work with plastic for a living a torch will take some light stress marks out but not real bad ones just lightly heat the stress mark and wipe off smokey area with ur finger just dont heat it too long and u dont a lot of heat to do this.no cutting torchs
  4. i just changed mine last week and cold a little under 1.5 qts. got warm and added a little more all in all maybe a little over 1.5 qts. warm
  5. ive been debating cutting my fronts off but was wondering when you make a hard turn in muddy conditions does it not sling mud right in ur face off the tires if not mine r gettin cut
  6. i am an injection molder and nylon has a pretty high melting point 220 would not melt it maybe 300 to 400 would distort it but certain chemicals do degrade plastics i do know that.i dont mold with nylon but i do know it melts at about 400 to 500 some even higher, thats at a liquid state .i do mold polycarbonate and abs and hdpe and they vary from 420 to 580 degrees .abs is what our fenders are made of and they mold at mid 400 degree varying on density and grade of plastic.just a little useless info about that. also i think there is some sort of a acid bath in the chroming process and i dont c any plastic surviving that
  7. same here not many shees left around here mainly 4x4 and 4pokes ,honestly i cant stand them and their bragging over the 450's but it all stops when we out on the pavement  . windrock has a site windrockatvclub.com you would like it all types of terrain and also some good sight seeing if u ever in this area let me know it be nice to ride with some 2strokes for a change
  8. thanks for the replies iwill have somebody else do it for me better to just pay once and have it done right and also i have alot doubt in myself in that area its not like polishing out injection molds i know ,can anyone reccomend somebody that does a good job for reasonable pricing ive been looking at RDZ racing but not sure, i would like to find smoebody closer.
  9. i would like to port and polish myself but do not want to hurt performance. i work with plastic injection molds im used to the same principles but ive never tried this on engines but any advice would be appreciated i just dont want to spend $500 and not get a good response im looking for a mild port but i want to get off cheap this may sound stupid but it never hurts to ask. i mainly trail ride but also like th asphault drags also what are some big power adders for cheap to help me any advice would greatly be appreciated
  10. ive had same probs time and time again mine was always seemed to be trsh in carbs or the rings are shot having dual carbs are a pain and a bi*#h to find the prob
  11. just out of curiosity why would u bead blast it i would be interested if price was right ,but i would bet it a rs no offence
  12. windrock is having a large jamboree this weekend this is very short notice but they have dirt drags and alot of 4x4 stuff last year i think it was about 3000 ppl. showed up if anyone lives close i highly reccomend it its $15 a day and 74000 acres to ride u can buy a map and all trails are marked its the best around here well worth going to also they have camp grounds and a restraunt its great.
