  1. Oh so you have a leaking caliper? If that is the case, then yeah, you won't be able to bleed them until that's fixed. It shouldn't leak at all if you just removed the parking brake...there shouldn't be any fluid coming out from where the parking brake assembly attached to the caliper.
  2. Quick16 is who I'm calling when I can afford an aftermarket frame.
  3. Gasket or no gasket you can still bleed the brakes so they work...they just will end up getting air in there with no gasket and you'll be bleeding them again real soon. I HIGHLY recommend going to your local auto parts store and picking up a "one man" bleeder or vacuum bleeder. It makes it so much easier and you can see when you're done (bubbles stop flowing). I just did this earlier in the week.
  4. I'm running a +8 link style swingarm with no link. lol, I guess I should have added that in there... I always tell people to start off with the swingarm parallel to the ground and adjust from there. Lowering it more will take away some traction, raising it up will give you more traction.
  5. I can't believe they deleted your post, Becky...that's just flat out retarded. I'll pass on the info to those I know. I still need to send you a couple pics of my banshee with the shocks on there. Thanks for the great service you provide to us!
  6. The quality of the FMF pipes is fine, it's usually the finish (the chrome) on the pipes that people complain about. Just go ahead and get the DMC's though, they sound sick and perform well too.
  7. I agree, it should be fine
  8. Is the tubing solid or hollow? I only run a strut in the rear of my bike and it measures 11" eye to eye
  9. That's BS...I ran them on my trail bike for several years, very nice and smooth power, I'd compare them to FMF fatties. They're not the prettiest and obviously not the best pipe out there, but DG pipes are far from "junk". Now, these pipes may be rusted, dirty, and beyond repair that could classify them as junk, but performance wise they do very well on a trail setup. IMO, keep the DG's, save your money for future pipes or other upgrades. I wouldn't bother fixing the dent
  10. You shouldn't have to worry about the pipe smacking the ground if you wheelie, DMCbanshee had them on his bike and he was a wheelie riding fool, lol  DMC's are comparable to T5's, great all around pipe that can be used in several applications. T6's are OK if you don't EVER plan to do any porting, etc. to the engine. They are designed for a stock setup. Fatties are also a good all around pipe, they come on the power a little sooner than the T5's but also sign off a little sooner too, the fatties are a great trail pipe, and they respond well to porting. Does that help?
  11. I'd start with a 290 main, 27.5 pilot, see how that does...if anything it should be a hair rich. Definitely do a plug chop though, that's the sure fire way to know if your jetting is accurate.
  12. That's what I would do
  13. I don't really think you can "align" the rear end. If it's crooked it could be a few things causing it. Sloppy pivot bearings, bent swingarm, bent axle, carrier isn't adjusted perfectly straight, sloppy carrier bearings. Can you look at it and tell it's crooked or is it only when you ride it that you notice it? Since you said it was bouncing, my vote goes for a bent axle
  14. I'm running the magnum in mine right now and have been for two years on the drag bike. When we pulled it out this year to inspect it/re-install it the basket looked awesome, hardly any signs of wear. I highly recommend it especially for how little it costs.
  15. Most definitely. Take some pics, make you a post in the For Sale and Swap and Trade forums on here. List all the mods, and what you're looking to get $$$ wise or trade. You should have pretty good luck. Also don't forget to include your location so people know where the 450 is located.
  16. LOL, yeah...I guess I skipped over that part too Been a long day already and it's only halfway over with....
  17. Maybe Saturday! I changed a thing or two since the last runs...but my best pass to date is a 4.21, running gasoline. If it wasn't for you recommending the timing increase I wouldn't have tried it, and boy it REALLY woke my bike up. Went from running 4.40's to 4.20's, stock framed bike! And thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it!!! I'm extremely proud of my little 4mil from F.A.S.T. racing
  18. I'm running a bunch of timing on my cub too, +7 on the plate and dyna on curve 3...cubs definitely like a lot of timing!! On my stock stroke, stock cylinder last year I never ran anything more than +7 on the plate with a stock CDI. I'd be willing to bet the +9 is too much for stock cylinders. Are your stock cylinders drag ported?
  19. Damn right!! We've been stuck in the woods well after dark before waiting on help, I can whip up a small fire, warm up the soup and relax while I wait  I was a boy scout when I was a kid, always be prepared!!!!! LOL, when I first went to the dunes, I stocked my truck under the seat with cans of chef boyardee, soup, etc. Never know where you might end up, and that stuff doesn't go bad w/ heat or cold. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I usually bring a roll of TP with me too...
  20. I usually carry a small assortment of sockets, ratchet, extension, standard and phillips screw drivers, plug wrench, knife, and plyers. Zip ties!!!! They have come in handy on more than one occasion. Also good to have a few spare bolts, just common sizes. Bottled water, can of soup, lighter, and flashlight.
  21. So you mean to tell me you forked out the coin for a 7mil super cub and didn't bother getting a longer swingarm, and plan to run asphalt? :shoothead:
  22. Very quick responses, shipping, and goods were exactly as described, I couldn't ask for a better transaction. Thanks Mark!
  23. You ARE welcome! I along with others are glad to see you around here
  24. Another for direct drive spindle mounts
  25. What's the retail price on this lockout?
