  1. You just wait till I get Mr. Fusion running on this new project I got going. You will see :ninja:
  2. LOL, sherba sherba, bakallah  Very nice trucks guys!!!
  3. 3.96 @81mph, but that was with my flux capacitor halfway charged. It was only putting out .65 jigawatts. I could probably have squeezed a 3.89 out of it, but I decided to scrap the 350 and go bigger.
  4. Yeah, you'll have to cut your clutch cover and extend the part that goes ever the clutches/basket, etc. The lockout is installed on the outside of the pressure plate. All you do is pull the bolts out of your pressure plate, put the lockout over it and bolt it down with the longer bolts provided with the lockout. It can be a slight pain in the ass the first time you do it, but after you do it once, it's simple.
  5. Here you go...if you run a wheelie bar, I think it would be best to run a strut in the back
  6. Paul turner midrange pipes or a 2 into 1 pipe lightened flywheel Adjustable Timing plate New domes for cool head Boyeson 2 stage reeds 2 into 1 carb K&N air filter That should be roughly a thousand bucks and make a great trail bike with a good amount of useable power.
  7. You got a good list of improvements, you'll notice a pretty big difference over stock. Also check into getting a lightened flywheel by someone reputable. Inexpensive and helps the bike rev quicker
  8. That makes more sense to me
  9. The reason we are all stressing jetting is because you made it seem like those mods are on your bike already and you haven't ridden it. If you would have said something about you "plan" to get the mods, then it would have been much clearer...
  10. If you're able to afford one then this is the best solution. I used to break out the adjustable wrench on my stock axle nuts almost every time I rode it, the only thing that kept the rear end tight at all times was an aftermarket nut w/ allen head bolt, like mentioned above
  11. Hey, I'm just trying to make sure we don't see a post titled "installed new mods and shee blew up on me" and we ask what your jetting is and you say, "stock, cause it seemed to run just fine" Just looking out, a lot of people don't know any better
  12. I'll bet it does run well, you got porting, aftermarket carb setup, and high compression. This guy doesn't have the budget that you had...he's wanting to build a "torque banshee" for "pennies" and it just isn't gonna happen. Not trying to be rude, just honest. If you want to make a banshee have lots of torque, you gotta fork out the money to get whats needed. The only way to nickel and dime your way to more torque is by changing the gears...and it really isn't giving it more torque, it just makes it feel like it's pulling harder
  13. Not trying to be an asshole but if you have those on your bike and plan to ride it even for one good day of riding you will be sorry you didn't jet it! Now, if you don't plan to ride it until after you jet it then you're all good... 440ex, lol, you have low expectations. You should smoke a 400ex with just pipes and filters.
  14. I still think the best option is to trade the banshee for a used 4 stroke!!! I'm a die hard banshee fan but banshees aren't the best ALL-around quad. You trail ride, yeah, a banshee can be ridden on a trail but your main concern is torque, something 2 strokes don't produce a whole lot of.... You're also trying to make this a trail monster with buttloads of torque but don't want to fork out the coin for the stuff to do it. There's no way to truly make a banshee a "torque banshee" without spending a chunk of change in setting it up (portwork, carbs, pipes, high compression, etc, etc.) The only thing you could do to make it "feel" more torquey is to drop your gearing down to maybe a 13/41, maybe 12/41. That's the cheapest and easiest way to do it. You're not gaining anything, just making your gears shorter. If you don't have at least a grand to put in your banshee (after you've done the mods listed) then the gearing change is the only thing that will really give you any bang for your buck; changing your domes to 21cc will help out a little. Changing the reeds isn't gonna give you much of anything other than crisper throttle response, with the mods you currently have....
  15. I wouldn't sand my slides, but that's just my opinion. Pull them out, clean them off, slap a little grease on the slides and re-install. That's all I did when I had problems, worked just fine. Stock carbs are bad about sticking especially if you hit a puddle of water, etc.
  16. If you have those mods with stock jetting it won't be running for long! Define fast...what's fast to you may not be fast to others...
  17. LMAO :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  18. Thanks Brad! That would be factory GM paint, freshly applied in 1996  Not sure on the exact color, but up close and in the sun it looks like a strawberry red w/ metallic in it...
  19. That's a good price for head!!! :yelrotflmao:
  20. Sounds like you ran it lean...I think running it an entire 1/8 mile at half throttle wasn't good for that engine. Why buy an engine like that to only run at half throttle? Sorry man, I think the damage done was self inflicted.
  21. Glad to help! My squish is .039, runs great. I wouldn't run it any tighter than that, but usually the ideal squish is between 40-50 thousandths. Also, make sure you check the cylinder base nuts after each night of racing or couple nights of racing... I had mine come loose on me and I blew out a base gasket. I run a .012 gasket and its very thin, doesn't take much to slip out if the cylinders start coming loose. Also make sure you check the head nuts often too, I've got friends that say theirs come loose after a couple nights of racing, some after a few passes. I haven't had problems with my head nuts but wanted to pass along a pointer so you don't run into the same troubles.
  22. You can get the one piece base gasket. When you get it, make sure you trim the gasket to match the openings on the top case
  23. Great minds!!!
  24. Thickness of base gaskets depends on what you want your squish to be...I run a thinner base gasket to decrease my squish, what works for me may not work for you. Vitos sells gaskets, several different thicknesses to choose from.
