  1. Yep, actually, if I don't end up getting an aftermarket chassis this winter, I'll be doing exactly that, getting a chromoly subframe. Thanks for the compliment!!
  2. Are you thinking about buying ancient triples old setup?
  3. You can get some pretty respectable times with a 350, best thing to do is like others mentioned. Put some solid struts on it and put your bike on a serious diet. Your thinking along the right path with your mods, that's a good way to start, its pretty much what I did  Don't even bother with running the stock suspension, you'll lose quite a bit through weight transfer. You can either make some struts out of square tubing or buy some adjustable struts...I like the adjustable ones cause you can play around with different ride heights and find out what works best for your setup. Here are some pics of my frame this year, we cut it up pretty good. I'll be happy to help out as much as I can, don't hesitate to ask questions  My 350 last year
  4. I didn't run it for long, i had some trouble getting it tuned in right but later found out I had a major air leak on the intake manifold...o-rings weren't sealing. I imagine the 35 would be better for low end response though *edit* LOL, sredish beat me to it
  5. Any brand carb would work, just make sure you get the right carb to fit the intake boot on the manifold. My 2 into 1 carb setup came with a 38mm Keihin PJ carb. Used is the best way to go IMO
  6. I always like throwing a little humor where I can in my posts  I was waiting to hear back a "I whacked it good and it busted loose!!!" :yelrotflmao:
  7. I'm with you on that one...I buy new ones and keep the old ones as spares, in case I pop an o-ring out in the "field"
  8. What do you mean, what's the most common setup? Carb size? Overall mods?
  9. I appreciate it Brad, but already got the info needed and ordered the bung. Thanks though!!!
  10. I think what he was trying to say was, because it took 3 hours to get the bid in, he didn't get the banshee for under 400 bucks  I hate comcast too, sometimes surfin the net can take FOOORRRRRREVVVVVVVVVEEERRRRRRRRR, but its better than DSL, and I don't care for satellite service, so I'm stuck with them
  11. LOL! It's no problem guys, I actually found out the answer to my question late last night. I think I'm good to go now
  12. Thanks! I know how to remove the petcock  Dave was right. One dual pingel for the carbs, another dual pingel for the nitrous. I'll have one barb plugged as an auxillary drain in case I decide to switch to alcohol. :ninja: If I get all my ducks in a row I could have it on by this weekend, but its looking more like next week That's a great explanation! So, has anyone figured out what size the hole is in the bottom of a stock tank? LOL  If not, no big deal, I'll just go drain my tank and pull it off and measure it. I was hoping that someone might happen to have a banshee pingel or stock tank just laying around for reference
  13. I thought about that, but there's already one petcock in the tank that's coming, and I have the one in my stock tank that I planned to put on the other side of the aluminum tank. Didn't want to spend money on another petcock if I don't have to, that money could go to fill up another nitrous bottle!!!! :woot: LOL, if you think my bike is a hoss, check this out 18mil stroke, DM cheetah, billet cases too...
  14. Excellent, thank you!
  15. I'm talking about the actual hole in the gas tank, not the barb on the petcock. The barb is 5/16, but am unsure what the hole in the tank is...I'm installing a second petcock just for the fuel pump/nitrous.
  16. Thanks Scott! That's what I was thinking but not sure either. I guess I could always just pull the petcock out and measure it, but I am lazy and don't feel like draining the tank, LOL If anyone surely knows, it would be greatly appreciated, my wife is getting tired of me finding reasons to work on my bike
  17. Just like the title says, I need to order a bung for an aluminum tank and am not sure what size the hole is for the petcock....is it 1/4" or 3/8"?
  18. PM FASTOYS on here, he should have them in stock
  19. You don't have to eliminate the linkage, but there's no reason to keep it. Just make a strut that goes from the top shock mount straight to the swingarm.
  20. You don't need no stinkin front brakes  Yes, I run John's old spindle mounts, only place I'm aware of that sells the spindle mounts with brake rotor attachments is wickedatv. They are extremely nice people to deal with, Roger took great care of me when I needed replacement bearings, etc. You don't need anything special to run them, just pull of your existing hub and rotor, put the rotor on your new spindle mount wheel, then apply a little grease on the spindle and slide the wheel on. Install spacer on the outside of wheel, then washer, then the castle nut, and finally the cotter pin. Re-install brake caliper, you're done.
  21. Great idea! But you might want to look into having more room for shutdown
  22. I'm so sorry to hear about this Steve! I will be in the same boat soon, I've been working for Regions bank for several years now, and they're laying us off at the end of the year because they're moving my department from Memphis to Birmingham, AL, and none of us want to move, lol. It really sucks, makes me feel like all the hard work over the years meant nothing to them. Best of luck, I'm sure something will come around for you
  23. Bump I will more than likely be there! Send me a PM and remind me, lol, I have a lot going on and don't want to forget
  24. Relax, he was probably just comparing my fastest times to Dave's. It's OK, no need to bust a vein in the forehead
  25. LOL!!!! :yelrotflmao: I got a bottle with your name on it :woot:
